Side/window Air Bag Problems of Ford Taurus - part 2

On 01-19-01 subject vehicle was traveling at approximately 35mph when it struck the rear bumper of another vehicle. Though my vehicle suffered substantial front end damage, neither the front driver side nor the passenger side airbag deployed.

While vehicle was parked and turned off another vehicle scratched this vehicle on t side, and side airbags deployed with little visual damage. Please provide further information.

While driving at 45 to 50 mph drivers side air bag deployed without warning. Dealer has been contacted.

Consumer had a front end collison and air bags did not deploy. Driver/passenger sustained injuries. At the time of front end collision the hood came in through windsheild on right side. Seat belt failed in rear which is holding child's seat. Back rest on left back seat came loose.

Vehicle was hit from right rear passenger's side door, going at a speed of aproximately 15 mph, and both passenger' side and driver's side airbags did not deploy. The defect was costing consumer to reinstall the airbags.

Vehicle was at a stop when it was rearended & pushed into a truck in front in which it hit another vehicle. Upon impact from rear, seat belts failed to tighten up, air bag on driver's side failed to deploy. Driver suffered injuries to upper & side of neck and spine. Was thrown around.

While driving on a local street vehicle then remained standing at an intersection at a red light with two vehicles ahead. Another vehicle, traveling south bound on connecticut Ave making a left turn onto van ness, was traveling too fast, lost control and side swiped the vehicle in front of consumer's vehicle, pushing it onto the sidewalk. A chain reaction started in which consumer's vehicle was hit head-on. Upon impact, passenger's side airbag deployed after the passenger hit the windshield, and the seat belt didn't lock in place. Contacted dealer.

While driving at 25 mph hit a manhole within the road and the front wheels went into the manhole, and the cradle that protects the engine hit the manhole ,to set off the air bag sensor which caused the driver's side/ passenger's side air bags to deploy. Cover to the air bags flew into the windshield and cracked the windshield glass, and glass got inside the vehicle. Dashboard was damaged by the air bags.

Consumer was involved in a unknown collision, traveling 40 mph in which neither driver's side nor passenger's side air bags deployed, causing injuries to the driver's side occupant. Also, vehicle wa s totaled. Please provide any further details.

Passenger's side air bag deployed unexpectedly, causing the vehicle not to respond to any of its function. Also, brakes and transmission shifter failed; and key was stuck in the ignition, causing the vehicle to coast into a tree and then flip over. Dealer has been contacted.

Consumer has been experiencing problems with driver's and passenger's side air bags. Also, air bag impact sensor stays illuminated. The manufacturer has been contacted.

The owner got into the car and started it up and played with the radio when the passenger's side airbag deployed without a vehicle collision.

Consumer slowed down to make a left turn when she hit another vehicle on the side head-on. The passenger's side air bag deployed, injuring the passenger. Passenger and driver were taken to the hospital. Driver's side air bag deployed, and the driver suffered a broken wrist. The passenger is 67years of age. Had almost every bone in face broken, except for lower jaw bone. The air bag cover was dented due to impact of passenger's face.

At 10 mph impact the air bags deployed; however, the passenger's side air bag broke the windshield and small pieces of glass flew all over the interior. Passenger sustained minor body injuries.

Consumer was involved in a minor collision and the driver's and passenger's side air bags deployed, causing injuries to the driver. Also, side air bag cracked the windshield.

While driving at 25/30 mph vehicle was in a head on collision. Upon impact, driver's side nor passenger's side air bags deployed, and seat belt didn't retract. Driver sustained slight injuries.

While driving at 45mph owner hit a deer, and driver side/passenger's side airbags deployed. Airbags busted the windshield, and driver's airbag knocked driver out. Vehicle is currently in bodyshop.

While traveling at 50 mph, vehicle was involved in an collision in which the vehicle rear ended another vehicle, neither the passenger side / driver side air bags deployed. There were no injuries.

While driving passenger's side air bag deployed inadvertently ,causing minor injuries to passenger. Dealer will inspect vehicle. Please provide further information.

Consumer was involved in a head-on collision at 30 mph. Upon impact, driver's side air bag did not deploy, causing driver to be forced into dashboard. Consumer has yet to contact dealer. Please provide any further details.

While the vehicle was parked and without prior warning driver's side air bag spontaneously deployed, cause has not been determined. Please give any further details.
