Front driver side door hinges unsafe design replace them 38 times no kidding. Airbag light has been on not blinking steady on for 5 years. Abs kicks in on dry road when turning sometimes. And yes all new hubs are on it. Other than these things the car is bullet proof and love it.

Abs module needs to be repaired at estimated 1200. 00 and the pedal brake control and mechanism at 160. 00 not including labor. This is ridiculous for a 2001 and have lots of others with similar problems.
I bought a 2000 Jimmy from oak motors. I have had it for 5 months. In the last 5 months I have replaced the alternator, 3 pulleys, serpentine belt. The brakes are going out, power steering is going out, engine is tapping. I took it back after having it for 10 days because the service engine light came on. They wanted 175. 00 to look at it. I was told at the time of purchase that I had to purchase the warranty for 995. 00, I thought this was to cover any problem with the vehicle. It doesn't. They now want 540. 00 to fix it. Please help.

: the contact stated the vehicle's right rear brakeline cracked. The contact expressed they would not take the vehicle to a service dealer because the repair work would not be covered under a recall. The contact stated the fractured brakeline was visible.
I haven't gotten into any accidents, but I'm affraid I will. The recall out there right now having to do with the abs and brake system, I feel the same is wrong with my vehicle, but since it's a 1998 with 96000 miles on it, no one will help me out. My vehicle does the exact same description that the recall describes. I unfortunately can not afford to fix it at this time and it's pretty scary having to drive out there knowing that it's possible I might cause an accident. I was pretty disappointed that GMC would not help in solving the issue. Even just to help out in the cost a little bit would be helpful.
My brakes on my 1996 Jimmy have locked up on me. Increasing my stopping distance. I am concerned about this , however when I took my truck to get serviced at a dealership they did not mention any thing to me .

I have a 2000 slt Jimmy which has been a pain. I've had lower ball joints replaced, upper ball joints replaced, major problems with the brakes, u joints replaced, hub and wheel bearing problems, altenator failure, a/c blower motor replaced, broken blend door which caused encoder motor and module failure, rear wiper moter replaced, back window lock replaced. Too many things have gone wrong with this vehicle. GMC should consider some sort of recall because I've read many complaints regarding some of the same issues.
When the brakes were applied, they locked up.
Consumer stated that when trying to apply the brakes the brake pedal would go to the floor causing the vehicle to have extended stopping distance. Dealer notified. Ts.

I bought new emergency brake has never held the car when adjusted o hold car, car would not move. Also I live on a hill, if I park facing down hill with a 1/4 of a tank of gas or less, car will not start until I fight it ( steering and brake with motor off) to cost to a flat spot to start.
Vehicle experienced sudden acceleration while driver's foot was on the brakes. Driver had to press the brake pedal extremely hard in order to stop vehicle. There was no crash and no one was injured. The dealer is not aware of the problem. Also, brakes are noisy when applied on wet road conditions and skid.
Poor brake performance.
