Attempting to stop for a school bus, as I pressed on the brake pedal it went to the floor and the truck did not come to a complete stop. After pulling over, it was discovered that the brake line was leaking fluid on the ground. Upon further inspection, noticed the brake lines are corroded. Be it know that the frame and body parts on this truck are also rusted as to not pass state inspection. The truck is just over 10 years old and unsafe to drive due to multiple manufacture defects.
External left rear door handle pulled off when simply opening the door 11/15/2010. External left front door handle pulled off when simply opening the door 12/15/2012. Two door handles pop off on a new vehicle not a defect? same flimsy plastic fastener attachment broken in both cases. Google search indicates this is a common defect experienced by numerous owners that GMC and Chevrolet will not admit to. The GMC dealer even acknowledged it's a defect! repair cost - $300/handle!.

GMC has the door handles made in mexico out of plastic. When you go to open the door the handle breaks off in your hand. GMC knows this a major design flaw but refuses to stand behind the problem. Just google "gm door handles break" and hundreds of postings come up! my child went to get into the truck the other day and the handle broke off in his hand causing him to fall backwards.

My 2001 GMC Sierra pu truck after the second year of ownership began to emit howling sounds from the upper right side of the cab's interior. Gradually the noise got worse. Today it is an almost constant howling sound as if wind is coming through the windshield. I will return it to the dealership next week for a recheck. It is my understanding that other, similar GMC and Chevrolet trucks are doing the same thing.

Vehicle has a crack of 3 quarters going down on driver's side. Dealership is aware of problem.
Vehicle would lean to left, and also pulled left while driving. Been to dealership , and had 2 step coil springs/ insulator , and body shims replaced on left side. Brought vehicle 1/8 inch on all four corners. Later vehicle was high left and low rear left.
Front passenger seat belt retractor is locking up while driving. Dealer notified. The driver side window makes noise when rolling down due to regulator assembly failure, also the center console would not open.
There is a pop/squeak in front over bumps. Replaced front coil springs. Also, driver's seat sits too far/replaced right air deflector.
