Service airbag light will not turn off. While driving.

I took my truck in to the local GMC dealership for the recall fix and they ask if I wanted a diagnosis on the truck for a charge . I said yes cause I had a check engine light on and service air bag light on. Which they both came on a week after I bought it. So the service advisor told me that the belt tensioner is out on the drivers side and that the wiring under the drivers seat is messed up. And they told me some other things that were wrong with my truck that I have since found out were false. But I asked him if the seat belt and working issue is covered under a safety warranty. And he said no and to fix your truck it will be 5400 dollars. I have found out that there is a recall on these items and the recall number is 15522. So I would like to find out if I'm or the services advisor. Thanks.

Truck has 56000 miles. Had to service airbags a few years ago. . Big bucks. Now have service airbag light on for 2nd time. I replaced both impact sensors but that did not fix problem. It seems that other sierra owners have experienced similar airbag problems. I'm wondering if it is safe to drive and if this is a defect that gm is ignoring.

"takata recall " parts still not available to fix my truck dealer has not offered another means of transportation to me. I have 2 children that ride in my truck daily since it is my only transportation to work and taking them to school, sports activities, store etc. And all other places I have to have a vehicle to get to. I do not feel safe driving my truck with a huge safety issue thats been recalled for over a year now. Especially with having my 2 children in the vehicle 75 %of the time . Parts not being available still at this point gm should be making sure I have a safe vehicle to drive until they can fix it. The airbag light has now came on and off a few different times now.
