Without warning we experienced a total brake failure due to loss of brake fluid. Pedal went completely to the floor and it caused our vehicle to lose total speed control.
While bleeding the brake system after a brake job the steel brakes lines failed. During the inspection of the steel lines it was found that all the steel lines were rusted severely to the point of failure. Failure meaning a large hole in the steel line from rust. All steel lines will have to be replaced.
While driving my 2002 Yukon xl, there is yellow light appeared on the I/p cluster message center. "service 4wd" and when gently apply/pressing on the brake pedal, the is some kind of loud mechanism noise in the front wheel driver side, and prevent the brake pedal from coming down. Three times that I almost rear end other vehicles. Took the vehicle to the dealership to get it fixed, the cost was $2212. 93 for fixing brake system failure including anti brake system and 4wheel drive. Dealer recommended to a report to NHTSA.
