1 Battery Dead problem of the 2003 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 12/10/2018

About a month a ago my 2003 Yukon xl all of a sudden would not drive over15 miles an hr in rush hour traffic. I took the truck to the shop to have diagnostics ran. I was told it was the battery. The truck ran for about a month then all of a sudden the battery was back dead. Returned the truck back to the shop another battery was put in. It's been about another month. This time I was driving from miami to jacksonville and the truck lost power 100 miles outside jacksonville on I-95 north. It had all power just would not crank. Had it towed to the shop now I'm being to there's a problem with electrical.

2 Battery Dead problem of the 2015 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 12/25/2017

Drivers and passenger brake light go out intermittently. Passenger stays off for long periods of time. Looked into replacing no idea if it will fix the problem. Cost at least $500. Each parts only. I have seen so many other vehicles like mine same problem. Headlights also going out, water inside of cover. Led and turn signal went out on drivers side replaced for a cost of $900. 00, (just for the headlight) again no guarantee it will keep working. Also battery went dead replaced battery. New battery also went dead. Car alarm went off the night before battery dead in the morning. Has been in the shop 3 weeks now. Same thing happens alarm goes off kills battery. Shows massive drain and set about 32 codes. The drain doesn't register after that. Recharge battery car is not running when this happens. Problem repeats every time after charging the battery. Something in the wiring is shorting out. Tested both batteries they both test good. Afraid of what will happen next with the electrical on the vehicle. Not sure if the lights have anything to do with this or not. When ordering headlight and asking about brakes told by dealer parts they sure are selling a bunch of these. I have had people driving down the road stop me to tell me my brake light is out. I did not know that the turn signal on the front was not working until a car pulled out in front of me while waiting to make a left turn. I got out and looked at the light and it was not working. I cannot drive the vehicle at all because it keeps draining the battery. I have a ase certified master technician working on the vehicle in a reputable shop.

3 Battery Dead problem of the 2004 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 01/09/2015

Vehicle started fine, then as I was driving in neighborhood engine shut off and I lost all power, could not turn car without steering and crashed into curb up the street, car would not start, had aaa come tow to our home. Had a new battery, and would only take a charge when bypassing battery directly into engine. Now something is draining battery and if I don't start and run every two days , battery dead. Electrical cluster also going bad and instruments not working, air conditioning electrical problem , will blow cold out of all but two vents, where it blows 90 degrees. Back window wiper stopped working, all electrical related. Dealer said no error codes test drove for a week to get to reproduce stall driving, returned to me saying can't diagnose. So frustrating and dangerous.

5 Battery Dead problem of the 2009 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 01/01/2013

We have had this vehicle for three years. Roughly every 3 months it will have erratic electrical shorts and most commonly the car will not start because the battery is dead. Sometime the shorts happen while we are driving. When this happens the radio/navigation system turns off and on, the dashboard display flashes off and on, the power door locks go up and down. On a few occasions the air conditioning has switched over to heat only while the blower continued as before. On a few occasions this has happened while driving and the electrical system turned off and the engine turned off, only to then turn back on. The last time this happened while we were driving on the interstate and the car shut down and then turned back on. The vehicle rapidly decelerated and then turned back on and lunged forward. We consider the vehicle unsafe at this point. We have not driven it any more, other than to get it to another repair person where it has been for the last two weeks. We have replaced the battery three times and the battery terminal cables have been replaced twice. We have had the vehicle checked three times at two seperate gm dealers. We have also contacted their phone support. Their only suggestion is to bring it into the dealer every time it happens. This has not been successful. I feel the vehicle is not safe and I have informed gm of this.

6 Battery Dead problem of the 2007 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 10/21/2010

First, the battery dies if the radio is turned on for more than 10 minutes with the engine off. The car needed a jump-start. This happened three different times. Second, there is a delay when trying to start the car. The dealer replaced the battery stating "the battery was defective. " less than a year later, same thing starts again. So I take it to the dealer for an inspection again. Ironically, this time the battery actually died at the dealership. After a few hours, the dealer states that the battery is "defective" again!! and now they're trying to make me pay for the old defective battery that they replaced. My 2007 Yukon denali xl was purchased brand new and went through three new batteries. The vehicle only has 30,000 miles on it. What will happen if my wife and three kids are stranded again??? this is not a battery problem. It is an electrical problem gm is trying desperately to cover up. Please help. Getting very aggravated and frustrated with this issue. It may not seem like a life-threatening issue but this problem does have the potential to become one.
