1 Defogger Heater problem of the 2003 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 01/27/2009

The contact owns a 2003 GMC Yukon xl 1500. The contact started the vehicle, activated the heater, and closed the door. He stepped away from the vehicle and, upon returning, he noticed a five inch hole in the driver's side window and door and the glass shattered in his wife's face. The failure has only occurred once, but the contact believes it is a safety issue because a severe injury could have resulted. The current and failure mileages were 97,000.

2 Defogger Heater problem of the 2005 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 10/03/2007

When diving on a hot day I had the a/c turned on with the driver side, rear air and passenger temp about 70 degrees. The driver side and rear air would only blow out hot air like the heater was on but the passenger was working just fine. This has happened numerous times. It has been take in to the dealer and one of the service guys said that this has happened with hi Yukon. It is supposed to be fixed. We will see what the wife says about it.

3 Defogger Heater problem of the 2003 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 01/12/2003

The heater did not work. I did not realize that until in the highway. The outside temperature was 29 degrees (f). I would not have been able to defrost the windshield if it were needed (which could impair driving). I called on-star to diagnose the problem while I was driving and they determined there were problems in the system and suggest me to see the dealer. Later on in the same day, the heater worked (only on the driverã‚s side) after the car parked twice.
