3 Steering problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 09/17/2025

Wiring harness failed randomly at 42,000 with no damage to the harness, engine, or vehicle itself. Without the wiring harness the engine does not run properly and shakes violently, causing the car to lose power. This happened with no prior warnings, problems, or damage. Additionally the steering rack seems “loose” and changes direction quite quickly when hitting a pothole or uneven roads even at lower speeds. I have to make sure I constantly have a firm grip on the wheel so no sudden unexpected direction changes occur due to imperfections in the road.

5 Steering problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 09/13/2025

I was sitting in my car, and the entire steering and brake system went offline and the car had a bunch of hazard lights on and said to tow to a dealership. I tested the steering, and didn’t feel the wheels turn with the steering wheel, and the brakes went to the floor. When I went to shut off my car, it did the emergency shut-off (press 2xs or hold for 3 seconds). I attempted to restart the car about 4 times that night, and then I let it sit and tried it again 2 more times before having it towed to the dealership. The dealership stated they received the car and everything was suddenly fine and there were no code history, and they could not tell me the issue. Prior to this, the only issue I had was the car braking when no one was in front of me, but no issues with the steering wheel. With the entire brake system and steering system out, it could have caused a serious accident if I was driving at the time, but I was parked.

6 Steering problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 09/11/2025

This Honda continues to have fantom alerts and false warnings that triggers the car to jerk the steering wheel and try to steer you into another lane. I have narrowly avoided crashes more than 50 times. No "safety" system should be able to jerk the wheel out of your hands. You have know for more than 5 years about this defect, why no action? shameful mismanagement that now needs to sued to get a reaction.

The vehicles also for many years would lock steering wheel and starter would lock wouldn't allow driver to start also when vehicle starts it’s a full force at once and you feel the force. I noticed a loud grinding noise and reduced braking power coming from my 2020 Honda Accord while driving at normal city speeds. A local mechanic inspected it and found that the rear brake caliper was sticking and causing premature wear. I contacted Honda service, but they refused to cover the cost or inspect it under goodwill, even though similar issues have been reported with other Honda models. 21 Steering problem of the 2013 Honda Accord

I had my vehicle serviced and repaired at barber Honda here in bakersfield, California, last year. They replaced the electrical power steering, but the problem came back. 23 Steering problem of the 2013 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/10/2025

After a driveshaft recall repair was performed on July 10, 2025, at germain Honda of dublin, my 2013 Honda Accord ex-l immediately began showing multiple safety system warning lights, including abs, vsa, traction control, and check engine. These lights had never appeared prior to the repair. Diagnostic codes included: •vsa solenoid valve malfunction •modulator control unit power source circuit (ig) low voltage these point directly to the abs/vsa modulator, which is located near where the driveshaft repair was done. Despite the timing, Honda has refused to cover the repair, quoting me nearly $3,000. The dealer also cleared the codes before I arrived and then claimed they were “historic” with no documentation. I’ve confirmed my battery and alternator are in good condition, ruling out the common causes of voltage errors. I believe something was disturbed or left improperly connected during the recall service, resulting in a dangerous condition involving the vehicle’s braking and stability systems. This is a potential safety risk that arose after a manufacturer-issued recall repair, and I am requesting a formal investigation into similar cases if reported.

24 Steering problem of the 2013 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/10/2025

The abs pump/motor, abs modulator needs to be replaced. This is a pretty common issue with the Honda Accord from 2008-2017. Fixing this problem is expensive at the dealer. I believe Honda motors should have a recall about this situation because how pricy this is. Looking online for information and videos on youtube many people have been quoted 2,800 dollars and up to replace it. I just replace the abs sensor driver side and abs, brake, steering wheel came out. These are coming on and off. Please I would like to get some help with this situation.

My 2013 Honda Accord experienced very dangerous steering problems. Without warning the steering wheel became very loose and I had to tightly hold the wheel with both hands to keep from crashing. The steering wheel was very tight and difficult to turn when turning right. The Honda dealer duplicated and confirmed my experience. They did a complete diagnostic check. The mechanics said there were no dtcs and the problem persisted after updates to the software. They suggested a recc gearbox and possible internal computer chip. My mileage reads 106,000 miles.

28 Steering problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/19/2025

During interstate driving vehicle detected both road departure and engaged the emergency automated braking. The vehicle attempted to correct the "road departure" by steering the vehicle away from the perceived problem and engaged the brakes nearly causing a collision as it has done numerous times before. Failure Date: 05/22/2025

My Accord has an eps gearbox recall. Causing problems with steering. The issue has been confirmed by Honda dealership. I’ve researched the issue, it could cause the vehicle to lose steering control and crash. I started hearing a loud springy/scraping noise about a week and a half ago. I took my vehicle to pat peck Honda (gulfport, ms) the next day. Today I was at the dealership for 5 hours, they claimed they fixed the issue. After leaving, my car is making the same noise. Worried for the safety of myself and my child. The dealership stated they cannot give me a loaner, yet they have not fixed the issue.
