The salespeople are very unprofessional and don’t take the wellbeing and safety of their customers or the surrounding public seriously. My husband and I went to stark to test drive a couple of their cars. The first car that we test drove the Honda Civic should have been properly repaired first before ever being placed on the lot. To even get the parking brake lowered, my husband had to disassemble the plastic manifold, second the car was lowered to the point where it scraped the road whenever we were turning on an incline, finally there was some mechanical issue with the gear shift where we weren’t able to reverse. When we got back from the test drive the salesperson explained to us that they knew of this issue and that there’s a trick to it. This trick wasn’t mentioned to us at the start of the test drive, nor did the salesperson go with us to explain it to us on the road. This is very dangerous, what if there was an emergency and we needed to reverse. Not knowing this trick not only puts our lives in danger but also all the other drivers in the area. I’m not a car person, but even I know that a car should be able to go forwards and backwards.

My steering wheel was sticking. At speeds above 45 it was much more noticeable. When I was driving in a strait line and had to move the steering slightly the steering wheel would stick. It would cause the car to pull to one side and when you adjust the wheel to in the opposite side it would do the same thing. You where driving in a straight road constantly over correcting , playing ping pong to keep your car in the lane. When I looked on the internet this seems to be a common problem. I had my car looked at a Honda dealership. They told me there was no recall. My only choice was to get it repaired. It cost me 4,546. 35 to be repaired. I bought a Honda for dependability and feel they should take responsibility for this before someone gets seriously injured.

While driving slowly and turning the steering wheel, I hear a crackling or popping sound, similar to a “crunch” or “creaking” noise. The sound seems to come from the front and rear area, especially noticeable during low-speed turns (like parking). After I check with Honda dealer they replace front strut bearing but after replace it. It still making noise.
* when I turn the steering wheel, especially when parking, there are noise coming from the suspensions, especially as if they are coming from the head of the suspensions.

In Dec 2024, I began to hear a noise under the car. I dropped off the car for the recall and to see if they could figure out the issue. Recall was completed and no issue found after blowing out the dust shield around the brakes. 1 week later, the problem came back sounding a little different. We found a plug in the aluminum pan under the car. After removing it, the original noise returned (may not have been noticeable because the other sound was louder). I took it back to the dealership. They could not find anything specific, but tightened up something in the front end suspension. The noise came back 30 miles later. So I took it to a different dealership last week. They found that the splash cover was missing a screw. So that must be it right? no 5 minutes after I left, the sound returned. Tuesday 2/4 I took the car back. After a longer inspection, they determined that the sway bar links were bad on both sides. So they replaced them. The car ran okay for the 1st day or so. I heard a couple squeaks but I just figured it had something to do with the replacement parts. As of today, the noise has returned as it was before. I will update, but this seems to be suspension related/faulty suspension parts.
The steering failed and caused an issue on my ball join, vc axle, nuckle, strut. I have a complaint before about the ball joint, looking at all of the cases, and the symptoms. I recall having issues like steering pooping, over steering, and having noices, . The car moved by itself with the steering and caused a lot of suspension problems driving into a pothole. The repair is over 5k. I have a case with Honda that says it is going to take time to inspect my vehicle in another department, and they want me to make an insurance claim affecting me. Honda doesn't want to inspect or have accountability for the issues that the factory or parts have. As a consumer, it is really frustrating that we deal with problems of the factory, but Honda doesn't have a solution or wants to help the affected customers. Previous NHTSA id number: 11623030.
The ball joint metal part broke. The ball joint is not connected to the lower control arm instead the ball joint is a part that has a metal piece included that connects to the lower control arm. The piece is thin and break in my car over a small pothole doing speed limit this would not happen in any other make. The part looks cheap on the metal piece. The safety of the vehicle was bad until I got a safe place to park the car there was a lot of damage the wheel departed of the cv axle making it dangerous. No symptoms just a piece that is thin and dangerous to any inconvenience that drivers may occur. It would be good there is an action and further investigation of the ball joint part and hopefully there is going to be a recall regarding the incident for a lower control arm that connects directly to the ball joint or a more thick and durable piece.
The steering wheel will tighten while on the highway causing me to over correct or the car will jerk sometimes while turning as well.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving away from a parking lot, the vehicle made an abnormally loud sound. The contact pushed the vehicle back into the parking lot. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact noticed that the front axle had fractured and detached from the vehicle; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
My car has been grinding ever since I purchased the car. The vehicle only had 17,000 miles when I bought it. I took it to Honda of hollywood and let them know that my car was grinding and they said that I needed to change my brakes. I changed my brakes and went back to the dealership and they said I needed to sand the rotors. I went to get my rotors repaired and my car was still grinding. I went back to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong with the car. I don't hear any other Honda grinding like my car. On the freeway my car is rattling. The tires in the back of my car move around they are not straight. I looked under my car and noticed that the wheel bearing is broken. I don't think the dealership should be putting my life in jeopardy like that when my car was under warranty when I reported the issue. I need help.

Brakes failed on vehicle almost causing me to collide with vehicle in front of me. Brakes plus in tempe checked brakes and found them to be good. All the lights on the dash flash when attempting to start the vehicle. Vehicle will not start sometimes. The vehicle also leaves the lane when going over potholes and bumps on the road and handles badly.
The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at 56 mph, the steering wheel independently shifted to the left as the contact lost control of the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact swerved back and forth in an attempt to regain control of the vehicle; as a result, the contact hit several highway median divider poles. The air bags did not deploy during the failure. The contact sustained minor back and shoulder pain but did not seek medical attention. A police report was filed. Upon inspection of vehicle, the contact discovered that the rear passenger side tire was damaged and had leaned inward toward the axle. Despite the failure, the contact managed to drive the vehicle home at a low rate of speed. The next day, the vehicle was towed to an independent body shop to repair the front end damage to the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the vehicle was apart of NHTSA campaign number: 23v704000(steering). The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximatley 11,000.
The past few weeks I’ve been taking my vehicle for service to the Honda dealership located in daphne, alabama and I’ve been complaining about suspension problems and my main concern is my tie rod end and the dealership refuses to repair, then yesterday when I brought it in for service they charged me for a diagnostics without my permission and I asked for the report and won’t hand it over and today 02/13/2024 they did the diagnostic again and won’t hand over the report then lied and said it’s my mass airflow sensor and there no check engine light on. For the past for weeks I’ve been wondering why the dealership has been mistreating me and it is because of the Honda manufacture, today I called the Honda manufacturer and ask if I’m listed as the vehicle owner in there systems because my vehicle is a 2016 and I haven’t had any open recall associated with my VIN in the 4 years I’ve owned it. The Honda dealership gave me a document for a VIN check and I’m not listed as the owner so perhaps the recalls aren’t being inserting into the proper file. I called the manufacturer and asked to speak to a supervisor and the representative refused to do so and I have a recorded conversation that I would like to forward to you once an investigation is opened. I also asked if my vehicle is apart of the national recall on the fuel pump and the manufacturer agent said no. Reference number: 1477712 I spoke with elmer today 02/13/2024.

When driving at freeway speeds and some in town speeds 40 mph and up and also when turning at those speed especially on banked turns the steering becomes stuck and takes a lot to unstick and momentarily scary. And you can hear a click or clunking noise when it unsticks. Sometimes after driving the car for a long period you can feel it get stuck by just sitting still and turning the wheel to the left and holding it for a few seconds as you would be in a real turn and it will stick and clunk. I’ve even went into a bank to turn a couple times and was able to let go of the wheel and it maintained the turning angle by itself without any lane keep assist options on at all and it has done this multiple times. Also after driving for a good amount of time when you were on the freeway at speeds of 60 to 70 and maybe even faster the car will not drive straight it will click to the left or just click to the right so I basically zigzag down the lanes. It is not smooth like traditional steering. I took it to the dealer and they said they took it on a drive and it could not replicate the issue but I think they did not even take it on the freeway because there is no way it did not do that again because when I left it was still sticking. They said they checked the eps and it passed inspection no repair necessary but it is still sticking. The Honda dealer I took it to just kept telling me this is normal driving conditions and everyone complains of the same thing and they tell them that it’s all normal. The safety risk is when you give it a hard push to unstick it sometimes it goes almost into the next lane like over correction and could possibly hit another car and cause an accident. No lights or sensors came on the dash at all this has been going on for the last I would say 10,000 miles getting progressively worse. I don’t think the dealer actually drove it long or far enoughthey seem like they wanted me out of there and I was making this up.
Vehicle had been driving off center even after alignment was completed. Took for another one after wife almost lost control of vehicle in highway. Been at dealer since Nov 24,2023 and estimated time for completion is not until April 2024.
Have sticky issue . My VIN was due for a recall took it in . Like always "couldn't replicate the issue" so no fix was provided . Vehicle was not fixed just cleared from recall. All dealers are going to say that just clear it and say there's no issue . Something else needs to be done . They said my tint was causing the issue but I had the issue was before tint was applied . Has completely nothing to do . No rental was given . Waste of my time and money . My steering has completely lost steering twice already intermediate then comes back .

On September 17, 2023, while traveling at 65 mph on the highway, my car's steering suddenly pulled, resulting in a blown front passenger tire. The impact forced the car into construction barriers, damaging the passenger side mirror. Due to construction constraints, finding a safe spot to pull over was challenging, so I drove a short distance to assess the damage. Upon inspection, the tire was shredded, the rim damaged, and the passenger mirror torn off, with additional harm to the paint and body. Aaa installed the spare tire. This incident wasn't isolated; recurring issues with the steering, including a September 22, 2022 incident where the car unexpectedly veered into a curb, had been ongoing since leasing the car on September 20, 2022. After the recent highway incident, concerns heightened when the spare tire blew out while awaiting a new tire and rim from the Honda dealership. The car was towed to the dealership, revealing extensive work needed on the steering rack and other components. Despite the car having only 11k miles, the dealership estimated approximately $8k for repairs. Investigating further, I discovered a recent recall, including my VIN. However, the dealership was unaware of the recall, and their attempt to address the issue did not align with its specifics. They stated that despite my VIN being included, my steering column is not covered under the recall. This lack of awareness, coupled with over 440 similar incidents reported for 2022 Honda Civic sports sedans, raises concerns about the manufacturer's understanding of the problem's magnitude. There is a defect with my car. Honda included it in the recall, should further investigate, assume responsibility and correct as part of the recall or manufacturer's warranty. Despite the ordeal, I am grateful for regaining control on the highway and safely maneuvering off the road without harm to myself or other vehicles.
Since purchasing the vehicle at around 35k miles there’s been an occasional clicking / knocking noise when turning. It’s not consistent, but it seems to be the start of the cv axle failing or something with the struts. I’m having the vehicle looked over, but again I’ve seen multiple complaints of this specific issue and wanted to report it. These parts should not be failing this early.
The power steering locks every so often and I have to forcefully maneuver the wheel and unlock it as I am driving.
As driving down the interstate. My car was on adaptive cruise as well as lane assist. It was like a nightmare! the car took total control. Throwing me from right to left to right to left and finally into a concrete barrier. The vehicles suspension on the drivers side both front and back failed. It was a nightmare you could not wake up from. I could have easily rolled the car over. And easily hit other vehicles. No warning lights or anything was on before the incident.
Steering wheel is sticking when moving steering wheel/driving. Steering wheel locks while driving.
Steering feels like it sticks when making micro adjustments on highway speed and when it finally budges, it over-exaggerates the adjustment and you end up wandering in your lane or going out of the lane, causing you to swerve out of the lane. Been taken to the dealer 2 times in less than a month and was told they’ve had multiple complaints from other owners about the same problem and have felt it themselves on other ‘22 Civics but since it does not generate an error code when they run a diagnostics, they cannot do anything about it nor can they replace anything.
For about 4 months now my steering in my Honda has been not keeping my vehicle straight going down the road and pulls to the left alot. The dealer said it was nothing but I do remember many years ago I had problems with another vehicle and it turn out the rack wasn't working propertly and the dealer seems to not know anything proper in steering of a vehicle. There have been many times it seems jerky and like the front end is lifted off the ground and not proforming like it should be. Also I having noticeable trouble keeping the car in the lane at speeds of 30-70 mph. A few time I almost hit another vehicle on my left side due to this problem.
1700 miles in the odo . Steering feels as if it gets stuck on high way speeds . Having to force it to keep the steering in the center . Definitely not normal . Started noticing it about 1500 on the odo only getting worse. Almost feels like the car is not aligned . Properly . Brand new car not staying straight is a concern of steering rack issues . Common for this car . Scared to report it to dealer they are only going to submit papers and say is completely normal . Waste of time . This should be a recall.
My car is have problems with wheel blance I don’t know why 1 year I have to took my car for alignment 2 or 3 times. It is something really wrong with the spring and the wheel blance.
The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving 75 mph, the vehicle independently started to steer to the left and right. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that extra effort was needed while steering the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 19,355.
Honda Civic ex cvt 2 door coupe 2015 it has 117,00 miles cvt transmission problems I went to mechanic to see if I had fluid because the vehicle was sluggish when shifting I was told plenty of fluid, just nasty sludge. I was told I need a new transmission. He also said my wheel bearing on passenger side needs replaced mechanic said ,” cvt are the worse in that year” I’m wondering why no recall??.
Steering became difficult and unresponsive at times. Car barely has 3000 miles on it. Took to Honda dealership for inspection. They test drove car and I was told the following needed to be replaced and recommended leaving car there for repairs. Repair rack and pinion assembly, update control unit, update vsa and eps systems, alignment. 2 weeks to get a part leaving me stuck having to pay for a rental car for weeks.
The vehicle exhibits an unmistakable thump noise when going over a speed bump or while typically driving at low speeds over cracks in any road surface. Naturally took the vehicle into the authorized dealer, technicians instantly replaced the sway bar links, however the thumping noise from the front end over bumps is still present. A noticeable "creaking" noise can also be heard from the front end when accelerating and at low speeds.
While driving my car on the open highway, I noticed that the steering wheel became somewhat sticky and resistant. This started in September of 2022 and the problem has become increasingly worse. The steering wheel requires excessive force to turn at speeds above 40mph, making micro-adjustments to the steering very difficult and causes oversteering. If there is a bend in the road and I turn the steering wheel, it sticks when trying to straighten the wheel out. It requires additional force to break the sticking point and get the car straightened back out. The safety concern is related to the straightening back out, in some cases it takes considerable effort and requires control to not over power into crossing the line of the lane. I also have concerns of a lock up and causing an accident that could harm me as well as others. Currently, I am not driving my new car due to the fear of an accident. There are zero warnings appears when this happens, so there is no way to prepare for it. I have contacted my local Honda dealership as well as America Honda (corporate office) to complain about this issue. The dealership informed me that the steering rack needs to be replaced. Honda is not able to provide an eta on the part, nor are they willing to provide a loaner car. Honda told us that we could pick the car back up and continue to drive it until it is repaired. Honda is not concerned about the danger to customers. Migliaccio & rathod llp is pulling info together to file a class action lawsuit since this issue is happening to so many Honda Civic owners. It should not take someone dying for Honda to resolve this issue with no expense to the customer. We are currently making payments on a new Honda that my son is scared to drive. Https://lemonexpert. As a longtime Honda owner, I've had 6 other Honda vehicles, I purchased this vehicle for my son when he turned 16. As a new driver, he did not recognize the steering problems that I did the first time I drove the vehicle and this happened :( this is very scary for a parent but I recognize he may not have known different. Soon after I purchased my new vehicle, I noticed the steering seemed "stiff". I would be driving the vehicle and would feel like there was no power steering. I would be 'jerking the wheel' in order to try and correct the steering. I would constantly be gripping the wheel in order to steer the vehicle, even on straight, highway roads. I stopped allowing my son to drive the vehicle because of my safety concerns. I would attempt to set the cruise control so I wouldn't have to be 'fighting the wheel' and after a short amount of time with cruise control on, cruise control would automatically shut off for no apparent reason. This issues happened on multiple occasions. I took the vehicle to my dealer, over 80 miles one way, on multiple occasions. I showed them video of the steering issues that the passenger took when this would occur. They couldn't get the problem to duplicate. Finally after the third trip to the dealership, they submitted for warranty request to replace the steering column. On the fourth trip, the steering column was replaced. This is obviously a major safety concern!.
