Every earring light comes on the dashboard at the same time. This has happened several times over the past year. The car abruptly stopped when I was traveling 30mph. The orange break light flashed and the car stopped itself when coming across a metal plate in the road. Luckily there wasn't any vehicle behind me or I would have been in an accident. Dealer said several software updates were needed and the a/c control panel needed replaced. Plus and oil change was needed in order to replace the a/c control panel. I have owned the vehicle since March 2020. I have taken it to the dealer for all oil changes and servicing since I've owned the car. I told the tech last oil change about the warning light issue and he said just drive the car in next time it happened because they needed the vehicle while it was happening.
All the warning lights came on after engine start eg, check engine light, power steering failure, driver assist, etc. It was every light. I took it to Honda in was diag. With po172 engine runs rich. Honda bullentin 19-032 was perform which included replacing the a/c control unit and software update. After one month and less than another 1000 milers driven I have the same problem. The dealership says my fuel injectors need to be replaced for $1400. The car has 38000 miles on it and just came off warranty. This is a known problem and apparently happens in colder climates but I lived in GA. Completely unacceptable.
Multiple times while the key fob was nowhere near the vehicle, the windows and sunroof would roll down by themselves. One time I had to crawl out the back of the car with Honda service on the phone as proof because every time I opened the driver door the windows and sunroof would go down. The problem repeated itself at the dealership but the witness denied it. Eventually the bcm was replaced. Everything was fine for a few weeks. Today when I turned the car on, it appeared that the software reset itself. The odometer screen said it was 1 am when it was 8:52 am. It took several restarts for that screen to reset. However, the infotainment screen would not reset. It states "anti-theft system - this system has lost power. Push and hold the power button for more than two seconds to enable to system. " then it kept going dark. I tried with the car power button and the radio power button. Neither resolved the issue. I restarted the car several times. The same thing happened. I finally got it to restart hours later by holding down the radio power button. I am limited to a specific date on this form, but the windows/sunroof problems began around April/may 2020 and the infotainment screen issue in June 2020. I bought this car new in may/June of 2019.

Driving on city street and interstate the infotainment system in the vehicle will randomly go out. This has happened in the past but has progressively gotten worse. The infotainment system houses the gps and climate control (defrost) system along with the car settings (adas) and entertainment system. When you are dependent on the gps for navigation and you loose the directions you go into a panic situation trying to figure things out. When the windshield fogs and you can't use the defrost system it becomes a visibility issue. Dealership has updated the software but still continues to happen.
Vehicle keeps gaining oil level from burned fuel even though the dealer installed the software update. I live in the south so the cold weather is not the issue. I am an industrial mechanic for 47 years and do my own maintenance so I know what the correct level is. The dealer says there is no fix but diluted fuel leads to damage and if severe, can cause engine failure and accident. The image posted is about 7k miles on oil change and the level is above the level marker pad. The second issue is the electronic display fails to function which allows access to vehicle information and control access. The dealer replaced the unit but this issue goes back to 2016 and so far, do not know if the replacement will solve the issue since it was replaced with a remanufactured part, not new. The dealer replaced the unit really not telling Honda the truth about the failure type, they said it was sound system issue when they knew for a fact there was none as I gave them a video and a letter describing the issue. One part is 1000 dollars and the other 1800 dollars, a stiff cost when warranty runs out. Their fix is an extended warranty at a couple of hundred a month. A win win for them and a loss to the consumer. The failure was sporatic and happened driving or parked. The failure date is just for the electronic part but oil issue has been from the beginning.

Starting at about 7months vehicles battery died and unable to start leaving me stranded. Dealer replaced battery. Condition returned 2 more times over the next year. Dealer did a software update serivice bullentin sb19-039. Did not fix the problem. Failed again. Feb 2021, dealer replaced battery again. Honda feild technical specialist sent sprficily to diaganose vehicle claimed no problems found. As of 4/23/21 curently in lemon law suit with Honda America over this issue.
Continuation of complaints 11307119, and 11307127. I called the dealership where I purchased the car new and explained what had been going on with the car. I was told to bring the car in. I took the car in and waited. I was later informed the Honda recommended that the plugs be replaced and oil change and a software update. I was later told that I would need to have the injectors replaced and I would have to pay for the repair. I was told they would need to order parts and provided me with a car and I left, it was a Friday. Monday I went to pickup the car. I was charged $1800 plus for the repair. I left and everything seemed ok but before I got home the alarm engine emission problem came up. Next day I called back and was told to bring in and they would look at it again. The message is still there.
Tl-the contact owns a 2017 hondsa Cr-v. I have owned this vehicle 1 yr and a few months and have had to have the computer system wiped out and the software reinstalled more than 2x due to problem dash lights all of the sudden scrolling;road departure mitigation system problem, electric brake system problem, brake hold system problem, tire pressure monitor problem, emissions system problem, electric parking brake problem, power steering system problem, vehicle stability assist problem, hill start assist problem, adaptive cruise control problem, ect. The vehicle was involved in a fender bender in the middle of all this chaos, but the problems started shortly after I bought it in may2019. At one time the computer would clear itself out and I could ride around for a day or two without all these lights flashing. That is no longer the case. These scrolling problem lights occur after I've been driving down the road but now they come on immediately when I turn on the vehicle. Prior to this and months ago, when I was rounding a corner on the freeway all the sudden the brake assist engaged as if I was too close to a vehicle in front of me. It was quite a jolt. The first time this occurred was October/November. 2019. This evening I got my oil changed and the mechanic found gas in my oil; I mentioned a gas odor last winter to the dealership when I took it in for oil change. They basically blew it off. No doubt about it now. In fact I even saved some of the oil that came out of the engine to show my husband when he gets home. I have used two different dealerships thus far because of workmanship issues at the first dealership. Now dealership number two does not even want to touch my vehicle.
At exactly two years old, the battery died. There is a service bulletin for a software update but of course, my vehicle didn't need update, it needed a new battery due to dead cell that happened within six hours. The top sides of the body has ripples down both sides. Was told this is usually cause by roof rack (I don't have roof rack) or by car wash (my car has never been through a car wash. I won't even let dealer wash it when I'm there). The car brakes hard even when there is no obstruction in front of me. The cruise, lane assist, mitigation will all shut off at various times saying radar is off/blocked. On 10/08/19 while driving, the lcd screen started beeping, flashing and going black. Nothing would work. Car is becoming dangerous to be on roadway. Filed complaint with Honda on a couple issues. Sorry for my luck, it's now out of warranty due to mileage.
Tl the contact owns a 2019 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that there was a software issue that was causing the battery not to charge and was draining the battery. The vehicle was parked at an airport and would not start upon the contact's return from a five day trip. The contact had to jumpstart the vehicle. East coast Honda (8756a us highway 17, bypass south, myrtle beach, SC 29588, (843) 492-5175) was contacted and stated that they were aware of the issue. The manufacturer stated that there were not enough complaints to issue a recall. The manufacturer suggested that the contact unhook the battery if the vehicle remained parked more than a day. The contact planned to take the vehicle for diagnostic testing on August 30, 2019. The failure mileage was 1,900.
Warning lights flashing then had software update ac control all that was on the bulletin , lights flashing again warning lights so at 38,000 had to have fuel injectors, one warning light came on since then after cutting car off hasn't come back on yet both stationary, and in motion .
Our Honda crv is a 2019 purchased litlle over 4 months ago 7800 miles to dare. Our problems started 17 days ago with a routine first oil change. At that time were advise of software recall and they said was completed and ok to drive. 6 days later an electrical. Or software problem occurred and all 13 icons on dashboard went off while driving. Alarms and warnings on dash as well. Brought back to Honda and they rebooted and said found no issue. A daynor so later same issue and brought ba k to Honda autofair manchester nh and they ket car 4 daya and worked with Honda tech replaced turbo and reset software and said might be related to origiginal software issue recall. A few days late on June 8th while starting a 65 birthday celebration for my wife we heard the loudest shreaking alarm when we went out front to driveway we found it was out xar and air bag had deployed on its own while not moving in driveway. The alarm was ao bad people driving by stop to help. Smoke was pouring from dashboard. Again we call Honda and they towed ro Honda manchester only again to give us yet another rental. When going back to get phone cord from diaabled car a group of Honda ployees surrounded vehicle in dismay. One said to me is that your vehichke I said yes and thwy said your lucky you werent killed if that happened while driving. This IA we we are at 17 days later from first oil change. We are in fear of driving thia car. Honda new about thia problem and has not decided to send out recall till july8 2019. Another month!!! how many lived will be loat or serious injuries because of thisnegligence.
While diving randomly at high speeds (60+ mph) and while turning in very good weather all warning lights light up (I have a video) and the vehicle loses power. This has happened a number of times on the highways and a major safety concern. I had to pull out of the highway stop and restart for the vehicle to regain power but the warning lights continue to be lit. After a couple of start and stop it disappears. It is a major safety concern and I have been lucky so far. I have approached the dealership thrice about the issue and they have replaced 2 sensors and updated the software but the issue persists.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Cr-v. While driving 65 mph, the tire pressure monitor sensor illuminated. The vehicle was taken to bosak Honda michigan city (located at 710 e hwy 20, michigan city, in 46360, (219) 874-4293) where it was diagnosed that the software needed to be updated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 23,500.
Display console becomes erratic showing different screens, usually starting first with brightness level indicator, and then moving into different screens. The rate the screen changes increases with time. Dealer stated previously that Honda is aware of issue and that it needed a software update which was in beta testing. The incident rate for this to happen is increasing. My second trip to the dealership today (I think a year later) and they still do not have a fix. To stop the cascade, you have to stop the car and turn it off. It is a significant distraction when driving and is unpredictable. Have also noted lane departure system will engage at odd times (no actual lane departure or identifiable road issues). The main dash display failed to boot on start up recently. The gear knob has had to be replaced within the first year.
I've been to the dealership 5 times now for the same issues: road departure mitigation system failure, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem. I have also been driving the vehicle and with no one in front of me, the car will beep, flash brake, and then the brake system will activate. When this happens the seat belts lock up from the sudden braking. I was told there is an update, and they installed it, supposedly, and the problem should be fixed. I am still having all these problems, and I am now being told there is a software update that is coming out next month. Let me reiterate that while driving on the highway the vehicle will randomly brake with no one in front of me. I also had my gear shifter button pop out and brake while shifting to drive the other day. I had to drive to Honda, and get that replaced, and was told that it is a common problem.
Tl-the contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. . The contact stated that while driving the steering wheel would start vibrating and pulling to the right like the lane assist feature. The contact's vehicle was not doing anything to activate the lane assist feature and the option to use the feature was off. The dealer d'ella Honda of glens falls 313 quaker rd, queensbury, NY 12804 (518) 793-3811 stated that they will look to try to replicate the issue. The manufacturer stated that there are no recalls on the vehicle. The contact has a loaner vehicle while the dealer has the vehicle. The front console malfunctioned also and will go out. The the backup camera for example will come on when the vehicle was not in reverse. The manufacturer stated that it's a software malfunction and they are working a solution to fix it. The failure mileage was 3,900. Tf.
On multiple occasions, while the vehicle is in motion, the system has made an alert sound and the instrument panel has provided the following notifications: "break system" indicator is lit; collision mitigation system problem; road departure mitigation system problem; and today (3/28/2019) while the cruise control was engaged, it also displayed adaptive cruise control problem. It shuts down these systems and the car drives with a slight "drag" to its movement. The only way to correct this issue is to pull over, turn the car off, wait, and then restart. The system checks itself and resets. This is unpredictable, cannot be specifically initiated, and therefore is difficult to take for repair when there is no indication at the time of the vehicle being in need of repair. There is clearly something wrong with the software, the computer, or an electrical connection. I am the original owner, vehicle was purchased in October 2017.
I would like to report a potential safety issue that exists in my 2018 Honda Cr-v. The infotainment system on my Honda will, arbitrarily, cycle through various menus and start beeping loudly. This is extremely distracting and diverts the driver's attention away from the road. It is unbelievably annoying and it completely destroys a driver's situational awareness. After doing some research, I have found that this is an endemic problem with the 2017-2019 Cr-v as well as other Honda models. It can occur at any time while driving and numerous examples of this failure mode can be found on youtube. Honda, has suggested that the software is at fault and issued an update, but this has done nothing to solve the problem. In the interest of safety, I write this letter in the hope that the national highway safety administration takes action and investigates this recurring problem. There are countless stories on Honda forums of drivers being distracted and removing their attention from the road as the center infotainment screen starts flashing and beeping incessantly. . Yesterday I got in my car to head home from work. When I turned it on, I got a number of systems alerts, including the engine, brakes, power steering and others. I was able to get the car home, but when I was going to take it the dealership, the car sputtered and seems to be losing power as if it would stall. This is the third time that I have gotten system alerts and taken the car to be repaired. The first time, the oil was changed and a software update performed. The second time, a software update was performed. This time, I checked the oil and it was over full and smelled of gas. The car is now at the dealership for them to determine the issue. I live in texas. The first time this happened, was during the summer. The last two times have been in winter.
Tl the contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. While driving approximately 20 mph and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle was taken to ken vance Honda (located at 2802 lorch Ave, eau claire, WI 54701, (715) 318-1641) for a software update, abut the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact attempted to notify the manufacturer, but was unsuccessful. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.
Vehicle does not shut down when turned off. This causes a high parsitic draw on the battery which causes the vehicle not to start in a matter of hours. Honda posted a service bulletin stating what the problem is and how to fix it. . Service bulletin 17-032. The service manager stated he never heard of it. Then he went on to say even if there is a software update, Honda will not alow him to do it unless absolutely necessary because of the labor charge to Honda. My battery blew up releasing toxic gasses filling the exterior of the car which contain my wife and kids at the time. They gave me a new battery.
While driving, safety systems go offline. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking system, and others all go offline at the same time. Appears to happen at random. First visit to dealer, we were advised they did not see any codes and there was no malfunction at that time. Next visit, all the systems were still offline from earlier in the day and they performed some software updates which reset everything. Next day, safety systems went offline again. We took the vehicle back to the dealer where it is right now and they are advising that it is a fuel issue and gasoline is getting into the oil . No explanation how or why this is causing the safety systems to go offline and become inoperable. Have contacted Honda multiple times along they way, currently waiting on a case manager to call back.
The battery is repeatedly dead after a day or so if not driven. The dealer says a draw of 0. 500 amp was found from the evaporation detection module and there needs to be a software update to fix it. They cannot give me any timeline for this update other than to say "they are working on it". In the meantime, anytime I do not drive the car for a day or two, I need to get a "jump" to get it started.
If the car sits for 2-3 days without running the battery drains and dies completely. We have been told that it is related to an evac test that is performed 5 hours after the car is shut off. Apparently Honda is aware and is working on a software upgrade.
There has been several stalled engine incidents while driving on a city street and also stationary at a red traffic light. No engine light has turned on leading to a wiring issue perhaps. Not so much a mechanical issue more so electrical of software related. It is unknown when the engine will turn off. There are two recall associated with stalled engine for Honda Cr-v 2010. There are the ignition circuit coupler failure (11v004000) and the automatic transmission control module software (11v395000) however my VIN is not apart of that recall. I am scared and fear for my life that this stalled engine issue will cause my car to get into an accident or even worst have someone else and I get killed.

Radio locks up and then indicator lights on dash flash - brake failure, vsa failure, tpms failure, ldw failure, acc failure, lkas failure, cmbs failure. Had it at Honda service two times and they reinstalled software and did a hard reboot. Issue reared its head again Dec 14, took to Honda service with lights flashing for a computer read. Service scheduled for Dec 19 to look into issues and perform recall repair. Check engine light has been on since I took it in Dec 14. Car seems to run fine even with indicator lights flashing. Issue happened first time while on interstate going 70 mph. Secong time on backroad going 45 mph.
The problem that we are experiencing on and off for more than 1 year while driving the car is warning lights all coming up and disabling the key safety features: brake system failure, lane keeping assist problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, and adaptive cruise control problem. This happen at normal city driving, freeway driving, with cruise control on and/or with cruise control off. The car is still operational but with warning lights. When you turn off the car, and restart the issues may or may not go away. When it does go away, it will randomly occur again. This problem happen when we had the car for 3 day old after buying it brand new and took it back to dealer and they look at it and did a software install. But, it never corrected the problem. We have live with this issues for more than a year now and are now fed up. We are frustrate of the thought of bringing it to the dealer and having the same thing happen to us again.
I parked the car in the garage on 8/18/2018. I turned off engine and all electronic equipment. We went on vacation for 2 weeks. On 9/3/18 we returned and we could not start the car. The battery was dead as it was completely drained. I researched on crv forum and there seems to be a knowing problem with battery slow drainage due to software and/or electrical components.
2018 Honda crv. Consumer writes in regards to a software issue. The consumer stated the software relationship between the transmission and the acceleration function would misfire. The signal from the transmission to the acceleration was delayed or non-existent.
Battery went totally dead. Drove 1. 5 hr . Away from home vehicle sat for 7 hr. Returned to the car and dead. Had to be jumped by secuirty. Drove home started it a few times and the next day and it was fine. I read where there is a TSB 17-032. Software bug. Drove to work, we'll see if it starts to get home. Going to dealership in the morning. No documentation, security guard had me fill out a paper for their records.
