Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the water pump seized causing the fan belt around the metal to get hot and was detached, smoke and flame start to come from the engine and was extinguished by the contact. The vehicle was towed to the contact residence. The contact later called Honda cars of rock hill dealer, (located at 686 galleria blvd, rock hill, SC 29730, (803) 366-8161) and was advised to bring the vehicle in. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,000. Aw.

2 Water Pump problem of the 2016 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/03/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Honda Cr-v. While driving 30 mph, the engine shut off and all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. In addition, the power steering and brakes failed to operate. The vehicle was coasted to a stop on the side of the road and towed to community Honda (8340 w 159th st, orland park, IL 60462, (708) 364-2600). The dealer diagnosed that the water pump, gasket, and alternator belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided a case number. The failure mileage was 41,000.
