1 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 03/31/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and refused to restart. A local mechanic replaced the transmission. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure, but denied any assistance with repairs to the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. 2 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 10/15/2008

2005 Honda Odyssey minivan with approximately 68000 miles. Transmission is slipping when van is going slightly uphill while engine speed is between 1500 and 2000 rpm. Problem will go away if manually downshift or press hard on the gas paddle to force the transmission to downshift. Dealership insisted that the transmission needs to be replaced to eliminate the problem but Honda is not willing to absorb the replacement cost.
