At the time of purchase, the mileage was 96,000; however, upon registration, it was discovered that the actual mileage was 222,000. While registering the vehicle, the contact was informed that the registration and the carfax report presented to them at the time of sale had been modified, and there was evidence of odometer fraud. The contact was referred to file reports with the local law enforcement and with the NHTSA hotline. The dealer checked the maintenance history on the vehicle and found that the vehicle was last serviced in 2024, and the odometer was approximately 198,000.
