In June 2013 had my right rear tire blowout driving down the road at roughly 40mph on a clear day. Replaced the tire since the sidewall was destroyed. Took vehicle to firestone in November 2013 to check bad vibration and 3 remaining tires all had huge sidewall bubbles protruding. Had to replace all three tires with only 36,000 miles on them (warranty for 65,000) bought the tires at wal-mart in Feb 2012 - goodyear viva authority 235/65/r16 dot m746jn1r4111.

Today 2/15/13 , when my family and I were driving from austin to houston around 7:30 am on a 2007 Honda Odyssey Mini van a one of four tires exploded. We did not hit anything on the highway it just exploded in an area close to the rim. It was a rear tire. We called aaa to come to help us and later we went to 2 different goodyear tire outlets and I noticed that all tires of these kind had bubbles all over the tires. The tires were bought less than 3 years ago and have about half of its treads left on them.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! I had done a lot of research on what type of used Mini van was the best on the market. Honda kept popping up, so I went and purchased a 2006 Honda Odyssey touring. I loved it until I got a flat tire. I took it to discount tire store (the same place we took our Toyota). That is where we informed that we have the pax tire system. From there it's been a disaster! I've called michelin and the Honda dealership, nobody will do anything to make this situation right! it should be disclosed to buyers before they purchase a car with this tire system on it. The tires cost 300$ a piece and I was informed by michelin that they only last up to 36k miles. The tires that I have right now, still should have 50% of their life, however my rear tire now has a "bubble" on it. It is not safe to drive! shame on Honda and michelin for not doing the right thing! I will never purchase another Honda or michelin tire!.

2005 Honda Odyssey touring van
have the pax runflat tires. Replaced 9 tires in the first 30,000 miles. One tire was put on and in 2,000 miles and it failed (bubble in side wall). Michelin would not do anything for me regarding warranty. After talking with the local Honda dealer, they told me it is not unusual for this tire to only get 30,000 miles on them before they need to be replaced. I have called michelin and they said this mileage is the norm. At $250. 00 per tire, something should be done. Thank you for listening.

On may 17, 2005 we purchased 4 dunlop sp sport 4000 tires for our Honda Odyssey. We had 4 wheel front drive alignment and computer balancing. On may 30th, we noticed a bubble on the side of the wall. Since the tires were only 2 weeks old, we were very surprised and disappointed. When we contacted the original tire shop, they said that such bubbles were not the result of poorly made tires, instead, by road hazards. There are no scratches or other noticeable marks on the tire, but there is a rip on the inside, near the rim. The tire was obviously defective.
