There was a slow leak in the left rear tire overnight while the car was parked in driveway. In the morning the low tire pressure indicator light was on in the car. I drove the car to the Honda dealer to fill the tire with air. Overnight while parked in the driveway the tire leaked again and in the morning there was a low tire pressure warning again. I left the car with the Honda dealer and they couldn't find anything after testing the tire so they replaced the vale stem, schrader valve and tire bead seal. On 2/27/2024 Honda found a pinhole leak in the sidewall of the tire. Honda customer service informed me to contact bridgestone/firestone. The tire will be inspected by a firestone owned tire center and I am waiting to hear the solution firestone will offer.
Mastercraft stratus as size 235/65r17 while driving on highway tire pressure light illuminated then immediately proceeded to tire shop to check tire . Then found left rear tire had a ball and saw the sidewall bead protruding. I had a shop dismount the tire and they mentioned they have seen this before where the inside of the bead started to come apart. He saw the brand and mentioned it seems like they haven’t fixed the issue.

On 6/12/2022, minutes after exiting 45 miles of highway driving, I parked the car. Less than 90 seconds after parking, the left front tire experienced an explosive loss of air pressure. An approx 2" x 1-1/2" piece of the sidewall near the tread was missing, and the reinforcing belt inside the tire was torn. It was the inside (engine side) sidewall. There was no apparent damage from any road hazard that could have contributed to the failure. Could not find the missing sidewall section. The general altimax 235/65r16 103t tires were purchased new on 6/1/2022 with 200,583 miles on the vehicle. Failure occurred at 217,525 miles. The tire was replaced by the original seller (belle tire, new hudson, mi), who now have the tire. They also inspected for previous damage and found none. Availability for inspection unknown. Belle tire reps indicate that this is a very unusual failure and will be reporting to manufacturer. No other entities have inspected the failed tire. No warnings/symptoms present prior to the explosion. The dot number on the failed tire is 6546 wbmh. It is notable that the other 3 identical tires on the vehicle have four additional digits (e. G. 6546 wmbh 0421) following the letter code, which belle tire said was the manufacture date of the tire. (0421 would be the 4th week of 2021). The failed tire lacked this information. Obviously, my wife and I were very lucky that this failure did not occur while driving on the highway as it almost certainly would have resulted in a loss of control at high speed.

A continental contiprocontact p235/65r17 tire that came installed on a new 2013 Honda Odyssey had the sidewall blow out while driving at about 45 mph. The tires have around 25000 miles on them. There is no other visible damage to the sidewall to indicate that there was any external cause for the blowout. A large section (approx. 2"x3") completely blew out on three sides remaining attached only on the side farthest from the wheel. The warranty document provided with the vehicle was for goodyear tires rather than continental, so I am currently waiting to hear back from the dealership on the warranty.
The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey, equipped with goodyear assurance touring tires, size: 235/65/r16. The contact stated that while driving 70 mph, the rear driver side tire failed. The vehicle was towed to a tire shop where the tire was replaced. The technicians determined that the failure was caused by a sidewall blowout. A goodyear dealer also inspected tire and advised that the blow out was caused by a low psi. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The VIN and dot number were not available. The failure mileage was 105,065. The current mileage was 105,500. The approximate tire failure mileage was 200.

The van has michelin 235/60r17 tires purchased new in 7/4/2009. One tire failed 3/5/12 with sidewall rupture at 30,500 miles; I have a photo of the damaged michelin tire area. Tire had rapid air leak - essentially a blowout; was going 20 mph. Second tire failed on 8/10/12 with leak at 35,700 miles. Tire had sidewall leak deflating tire in 10-12 minutes; was going 15 mph. Second tire id is 235/60r17 102t 1391h3mnx 5008. Have photo of tire leak area. Second failed tire and two remaining michelin tires on van appear to have dry rot on sidewalls. Remaining tires have same id and 5008 and 0209 at end. In both cases, tire was not hit and shows no damage other than sidewall rubber degrading. Tread depth is good. Have photos showing dry rot degradation. I have no confidence in two remaining michelin tires and am replacing remaining tires on van with the second michelin failed tire.

My daughter, a single mother, bought goodyear viva 16x225/60r16 98t from walmart on 10-20-2011. One blew out the side wall and another developed a hole in the sidewall and had buldges all along the outer wall. The other two have poor wear. The tires are a bunch of junk. We need a total recall and destruction of the inferior product before someone gets killed. If they haven't already.
Oem tires on 2009 Honda Odyssey, michellin 235/65r-16 energy lx4. . 13,500 miles on vehicle. . . Severe sidewall cracking found 10-23-11. Taken to discount tire for warranty. . . 7/32 tread vehicle 2 yrs old. Tires are defective 4 experience same type of cracks all the way around the tires, michellin will not warranty cracks, however will cover cost of replacement minus $ 219. 00 was not informed of this when purchasing vehicle new. . . . They sa we are sorry, but our liability is only 7/10 of what it was. . . They are defective. . . .
I purchased 4 goodyear assurance touring p235/65r16 tires that were installed on 2005 Honda Odyssey lx. Vehicle was aligned and tires rotated, balanced, and pressure checked regularly. The tire was advertised with a 70,000 mile tread life warranty. At approximately 17,300 miles I noticed the tread on all 4 tires appeared to be separating from the tire when viewed from the side. I took it to original tire dealer who told me it was normal and there was nothing to worry about. At the next rotation, I again noted that the separation appeared to be getting worse. Again I was told that this is normal. At 24,000 miles, and within 400 miles of a rotation and balance, the tires developed a very mild vibration, which has never completely gone away, even with further rotation and balance. At 45,000 miles, there were cracks (possibly dry rot) beginning to form all over the sidewalls of the tires. Additonally, the tread had noticeable spearation from tire. Lastly, the tires had worn to the 2/32 minimum tread depth. The tire dealer refused service or even prorate the tire towards new ones. I called goodyear, but they instructed me to deal with the tire dealer, as that tire was made specifically for them. The tire dealer refuses to acknowledge any problem, though they have now offered a minimal proration amount which isn't enough to offset the cost of the installation of new tires. The dealer refuses to prorate based on actual mileage vs warranted mileage, although their written warranty policy states that is the way the warranty should be handled.

Tire sidewall failure on two (2) bridgestone potenza re92 225/60/r16 97h tires, one failure in August 2010, one in October 2010.
Michelin tires energy lx4 235/65/r16-103t-went in to dealer today for alignment. Said they could not do it as all 4 tires are separating on the insides. All 4 at once? this is on a 2005 Honda Odyssey van- this van has been maintained to the utmost. As a saleperson-I live in it. Also in the weekends I put some of my 10 grandchildren in it. The most valuable cargo anyone can have. Reason for the Honda brand. Safety etc. I was in shock when told this took it to a local tire place got second opinion. I rotate tires every 2000 miles as I change oil every 1000 miles. This is very very upsetting as dangerous. As if I drive it they will blow. The steel belts are going to come through the inside sidewalls. What on earth!!! I would expect this from a fly by night company. But someone needs to do something before someone is killed with a blow out. I have been told michelin will do nothing as they have had other complaints and tires with the same problem. Not to waste my time even contacting them. Go right to this web site and let all know about then problem. Not just one size many many sizes of michelins with the same problems. God bless I found out without damage to my family or someone else's on the highway with me.
Sidewall separation of a goodyear regatta 2 tire on a Honda Odyssey van. Were told by Honda dealer that there was tread separation. Took to dealer (akron auto and truck tire) and was told that it was damage caused by hitting an object. Tire was replaced and other tires were inspected on or about March 10, 2006. Replaced two tires. Today the remaining goodyear regatta experienced a high speed separation of the sidewall tread with a concurrent blow out with my 16 year old daughter at the wheel. She brought the car to a stop and there was no damage other than the tire. The side wall blew on the inside of the car and there was no evidence of damage to the rim.

My wife was driving our 2005 Honda Odyssey (14500 miles) at 60 mph on a smooth dry highway when the right rear tire exploded. The tire separated into three parts, left and right sidewall and tread. The tire was a michelin energy lx4 235-65-16, original equipment on the Odyssey. Inflation pressure was normal, having been checked two days earlier. Temperature was approximately 65 deg. There were four women with their weekend luggage on board, certainly weighing less than the rated load of the vehicle and the tires. Since she was 200 miles from home, she had to buy another tire (off brand) at the nearest tire shop. The failed tire was later taken to discount tire in lake worth, TX for replacement with a correct tire.
: the contact stated while driving 35mph, on normal road conditions, the tire blew from the sidewall. The tire received regular pressure inspections. It was replaced with the spare until the vehicle can be taken to the dealer for repairs. The tire was michelin 225/60r16 all season.
I am writing about a goodyear tripletred assurance tire with about 5,000 miles. I was told by the dealer that my tire had a valve leak. While driving on the freeway my tire went flat. The dealer said that the low psi caused the rim to 'chew-up' the inside of the sidewall of the tire. My vehicle is a 2002 Honda Odyssey.
