Air bag warning light on. Dealer said it was right front sensor which they replaced. It did not fix it and now they say the control system is bad and air bags will not work. Perhaps this is related to other Honda air bag recalls. This is the third major safety issue with this vehicle, brakes (recalled), steering (recalled) and air bags.

Yellow srs warning light come on when driving on a rough road. This tells me that air bag system is not working properly. It may not deploy in an accident. This issue started since 2009. Second issue is that front brakes vibrate so much. I had full brake service and resurface disc but it only stop this problem for couple thousand miles then vibration comes back when braking. High speed braking cause even more vibration.
Air bag warning light started to turn on and off from time to time. Since early 2012, the warning light has stayed on. The current mileage is just over 64000 miles.

The dealer stated that the air bag system needed to be replaced at the cost of $550. The failure mileage was 44,000 and current mileage was 46,000. Updated 04/16/08.
The contact owns a 2005 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated on the instrument control panel, which indicated that the air bag system was inoperative. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 05v344000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module). The contact would be responsible for the repair costs and the vehicle is in the process of being repaired. The failure and current mileages were 48,000.
The check airbag light repeatedly comes on even though it has been in for repair several times. The dealer has "reset" the system, changed the wiring and replaced the passenger side air bag. However, the warning light remains lit. There is something wrong with Honda's air bag safety system and they seem to not have the answer for it.
Within a couple of weeks after purchasing a brand new 2007 Honda Odyssey, the airbag warning light illuminated and stayed illuminated (occasionally turning off). We brought the car in to a dealership for service on 7/16/07 but a few days of using the car (we only use it once a week, sometimes less) the warning light turned on again. Also, now the "passenger airbag off" light now occasionally turns on, even when there's an adult in the passenger seat (this light is supposed to illuminate only when there's a child-size object or passenger). We are going to take it in for service again.
The contact owns a 2002 Honda Odyssey. When appyling pressure to the brake pedal, the contact heard and felt a loud grinding noise. The dealer changed the brake shoes, but the problem still persists. The vehicle was inspected by two additional professional technicains and they advised her that nothing was wrong with the brake system. On two occasions, the sliding door would spontaneously open, allowing her children to exit the vehicle while in motion. The dealer could not duplicate the failure; however, they greased the rollers on the sliding door, which remedied the failure. Several months later, the vehicle was rear ended directly in the center of the vehicle by another vehicle traveling 35 mph. None of the air bags deployed. There were no warning lights prior to the crash. The dealer was not notified. The cotnact took her vehicle to the dealer for NHTSA campaign id number 04v176000 (power train: automatic transmission). Because there was no discoloration in the transmission fluid, the dealer informed her that the vehicle could not be repaired until it showed signs of failure. The contact called the dealer when she began experiencing failures shifting gears, and they advised her that they would not repair the vehicle under the free remdey outlined in the recall. The dealer refused to provide an explanation. The contact is in the process of having the vehicle repaired. The failure mileage was 20,000 and current mileaege was 80,000. *updated 10/20/08 updated 10/21/08.
Consumer stated the supplemental restraint system warning light illuminated, the dealer was unsure which components of the air bag control unit might be causing the srs warning light to illuminate and had no way of knowing unless the entire unit was replaced, consumer denied the repairs and after leaving the dealership the light was no longer on, however in April 2002 the light illuminated again.
