Passenger airbag light is flashing while driving with no passenger in the seat. Stays off while vehicle not moving. Dashboard airbag light on. Vehicle not on the recall list of similar issue identified in the past. Issue resemples condition identified in NHTSA campaigh 08v161000. Vechicle mileage at approximately 175,000.
The esc off light goes on sometimes when driving and pushing the button doesn't do anything. My passenger air bag light flashes even when no one's sitting on the seat.
Air bag light is one.
Airbag light in dash is lit. Srs has not been recalled? could it be the driver seat sensor does not detect a driver in the seat? this vehicle has had passenger seat sensor recalled and corrected. Thanks.
Airbag light stays illuminated in will not go off. Literally drove an hour and a half away from home on a regular driving road. Notice the airbag light was on but the airbags have never been used in the car at all.
Air bag light on continuously, fault passenger seat belt pretensioner high resistance. Disabling the srs system. Light just came on upon startup.
There is a recall #083 (08v161000) that is exactly my issue. The airbag light stays on and it was diagnosed as the passenger seat sensor that is causing the issue. The cost of repair is $1500. 00. Spoke with Hyundai and they advised that my car was not marked for recall. We have spoken with a number of junk yards thinking we could obtain a used seat to correct this issue. We have been advised that this issue is wide spread and they cannot keep seats in stock due to the seat sensor issue. I cannot pass my state inspection without this fix. I find it difficult to understand that my car is not covered by this recall. Please register this complaint and let me know if I have any other recourse. Had airbag light stay on and got seatbelt buckle replaced under recall. Now one month later airbag light is on and I'm told it is bad sensors inside the seat. These cars have poor engineering. We can't even rely on airbags, since they won't work when the light is on for bad sensors.
Vehicle was taken to Hyundai because the airbag light was illuminated, and the passenger seat belt reminder light would blink when no one was in the seat. After a diagnostic test, the dealership advised this was due to a faulty airbag sensor in the passenger seat, that was part of the actual seat. The replacement seat cushion was going to cost upwards of $1200, with the installed price of over $1500! after looking at the NHTSA complaints, I saw I am not the only one who has had this problem. A quick google search also showed a plethora of other complaints in regards to this issue. There is obviously a major issue with the sensors/airbag/seat belt system in these vehicles, and I am hoping a recall will be issued. Hyundai could not tell me if this issue would affect my airbag system or not. Thank you.
Im not paying Hyundai dealers $125. 00 so they can tell me that my airbag light is not working but no recalls, this is not my problem should be under warranty, red airbag is on and not sure its my seat but the passenger seat light is on and off ,different readings on by my seat,I have a 175000 miles and need to put on another 175000 if I can. I guess when the passenger is not in the seat all the time, why should it go bad.
Airbag light is on all the time, passenger air bag light is off even when nobody is sitting in the seat. Code b 1448 OCS occupant classification system mat defect. Concerned about driving the car with airbag issues, understood that Hyundai extended the warranty on my 2007 Hyundai Sonata. It occurred 2 months ago, light just appeared.
The air bag turns on and remains on. I found out that there has been a warranty extension for this vehicle, however, when I visited the dealership they simply sent me away stating that they don't have the parts and Hyundai is still working on it. It seems like Hyundai dealers are sending away customers without taking any responsibility or at least trying to order the part. My airbag light is still on and this is a safety issue that dealers are simply avoiding to address. The dealer did not even bother to check the car with a diagnostic tool, as soon as I mentioned the warranty extension they simply said they do not have the parts.
Called dealer said no recall-airbag light on and is disabled for passenger. Has not been working for 2 months. Continues to stay lit up and indicates it is disabled. Noted previous recall in other cars. Dealer not willing to replace in wilmington, MA.
The air bag light is on and the passenger seatbelt light is constantly on. I see there was a recal for this problem but my VIN number is not included but I think it was "fixed once" and now it continues to happen.
Air bag light indicator remains lit due to module controlling the OCS system on passenger seat, air bag system is severely compensated. Dealer indicates $1200 repair to fix problem. Air bag indicator came on with car in a parked position.
My air bag light stays on the dashboard. Error code b1448.

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. Upon starting the vehicle, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer for diagnostic testing or repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 120,000.
Air bag light is continuously on and code reader does not pick up an error code but air bags will not work if in an accident. Air bag light has been continuously on for over a year with no accident or other damage causing this.
The airbag light has been on since I purchased the vehicle three days ago. I thought it was just on temporarily, but then I did research and saw that it had something to do with the passenger sensor going out I think and saw that it may have been a recall on it.
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. While the vehicle was stationary, the air bag indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to island Hyundai in stanton island, new york where diagnostic testing revealed that the OCS was faulty. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and referred the contact to the dealer to have the vehicle inspected for code: txx3 (a sensor in the seat belt that may have malfunctioned). It was determined that NHTSA campaign number: 08v161000 (air bags) was directly related to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,500.
The air bag light stays on all the time and the passenger seat belt light blinks whether someone is in the passenger seat or not. My mechanic told me the air bag sensor in the passenger seat no longer works, but he couldn't tell me if the air bag would deploy in an accident. I've read on the internet there was a recall on the passenger seat air bag sensor but when I called Hyundai corporate they couldn't find a recall. I think the recall was closed but it needs to be reopened again because this is very dangerous and the air bag sensor by itself costs almost $1,100 not including labor. A lot of people can't afford that and therefore will not get it fixed. Which means Hyundai is going to eventually get sued because of this problem. How many people are going to get seriously hurt or killed before Hyundai does something about this? I've read over and over on the internet that this is a real problem for people with Hyundai's. It's always the passenger air bag sensor that malfunctions. Thank you for anything you can do to get the Hyundai passenger air bag recalled.
Air bag light came on while driving on a highway and is not going off. Worried about air bag safety.
Passengers side front seat airbag sensor went bad. Made airbag light come on. Took car to dealer they said sensor was bad and with light on airbag wouldn't work. So I had it fixed . 1800. 00 and a new new later it's fixed. But how many people out their is going to spend 1800. On a 2007. If that's not a safety concern I don't know what is. Lots of bad airbag sensors out there.
My air bag light has been on for over a year. Come to find out my air bag control module is faulty. An ase certified mechanic gracefully checked my air bag codes for free. This is now putting my life and anyone riding with me in danger seeing as none of my air bags will deploy. According to several forums I've seen, this is not a new problem. Hyundai needs to send out a recall on something that should never fail. My vehicle has never been in a collision.
My driver's side airbag light came on suddenly one day. I don't know why since I didn't do anything to the car. I searched online and see previous Hyundai recalls on the airbag for Sonata. 07 Sonata wasn't included though.
Took the car into the shop for an airbag light. They said that it was a bad oc mat sensor. I was quoted $1000+ for parts and labor. I asked why this wasn't covered under the recall because my car was in the range 06-07, they said my VIN did not indicate an active recall. I called corporate and they also said I was sol. This is something that needs to be fully recalled, far too many of them are failing and Hyundai refuses to do anything about them.
This is now the 4th time I have had to take the car in for an airbag light that indicates a bad seat belt sensor. Frustrated to have to still deal with this issue. Stationary on start up light goes off then comes right back on.

My airbag light has been on for some time now. The passenger airbag light does not even turn on when a passenger sits on the front seat. I have never had an accident so I'm not sure why the light is constantly on.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. The dealer (central avenue Hyundai, 111 s central Ave suite 1, hartsdale, NY 10530, (315) 519-4437) indicated that they serviced the vehicle for an air bag recall. The contact informed the dealer that the manufacturer's remedy failed to provide a permanent solution. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and indicated that they would provide a follow-up response to determine if they or the dealer would assist. The failure mileage was not available.
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
I have an airbag light that has been on and the dealer ran the code which came back b1448 which is the passenger seat sensor. They recalled substantially all 2006-2008 Sonatas for this well documented problem, but said mine is excluded despite it being exactly in the middle of the problem years. I have an airbag system that wont deploy due to a very well documented problem by Hyundai and they wont fix it.
