I starting hearing a clicking then the car lost all power, steering was so stiff, brakes would not prss down I was able to get off the road then smoke was pouring out the front. I could smell wires buring we pour water down in the motor but the hoses were still hot to the touch. The car will not restart. I scared me to death in so glad I slowed down. I bought the car less than 1yr ago. Dont dealers have to check these things. I'm so frustrated. Should not be allowed to sell a car if you know theres an open recall. I'm thankful my kids werent with me.
While driving there is a noticeable "clicking" noise, especially while turning the vehicle. And it is getting louder. Has been occurring the past two months.
Started to drive on a highway, vehicle cut off in motion. It will not turn back on anymore.
Drivers side seatbelt pops lose. It was supposed to be replaced under recall169. It happens when I'm driving. My break lights burn out a lot faster than usual ( 2 weeks). The back passenger side light burned the plastic unit where the light bulb is inserted. There is a crack in my steering wheel cup which seems to be a common problem with this vehicle and I think it should be a recall on that as well.
I went to go park and my gear shifter broke, it was stuck in reverse. Once part of dash was removed the cable link that is connected to the shifter broke off. This was a terrible inconvenience.
Steering makes a loud "clunk" when turning right or left. It is noticeable when stationary, but quite loud when moving. I am afraid to drive the car.

Was driving about 30 mph when the car began accelerating without me applying pressure to the gas. I was coming to a light to make a red turn and when I applied the brakes they would not slow down my vehicle so my speed increased. The steering wheel then locked and before I knew it a car had collided with me crossing in front of me. My car was totalled.
When I turn steering wheel it makes the loud sound. My windshield only works on fast mode. Try to call the place I got it from they don't know what's going on. They want to keep it over night but can't get ahold of anymore for them to get it. They will not return my calls. The been going on since I got the car. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
I was driving on a side street, heard loud noise coming from left front wheel area when I heard a grinding sound and car was riding rough. Called for help. Instructed not to drive vehicle till it was looked at by a mechanic. Mechanic who evaluated and repaired vehicle said he has never seen "pitted wheel bearings" in 30 years of operation. He gave me back the faulty bearings and told me I should contact you and the corporate area of Hyundai, because this is a serious safety issue and warrants an alert or recall. The driver side lower ball joint and bearings had to be replaced. Please review ASAP, as this is a serious safety concern for the rest of the population. Thank you!.

The steering developed significant play in the wheel over a very short time. This was due to the deterioration of the steering coupling, a $5. 00 part that was clearly under-engineered. Hyundai has recognized this by extending the warranty, but the item has not been recalled, leaving significant numbers of owners operating vehicles with compromised steering units.

Steering wheel makes a rattling noise when I drive over bumps.
Steering coupler recall needed! front dash crack randomly appeared I read it could be due to the damaged coupler. I had a wreck and my car was about $400 from being totalled. The insurance refused to fix the coupler and it is now my responsibility. It sounds awful and it is scary driving around with my steering wheel sounding like it is going to fly off the dash.
I was driving my car when suddenly the steering wheel started making a loud clicking noise any time turned the wheel or went over a large or small bump. The noise is so loud that it will occasionally set off the "check engine" light but this will eventually go off on its own.
Power steering suddenly cut out without warning while in motion on the street. This rendered the vehicle nearly unusable.
Since,I have owned the car I have, noticed the steering wheel feeling loose. Over, the last several months I have experienced uncontrollable rattling and increased shaking. I took my car in to be looked at and 3 different shops told me my steering rack was about to go. After some research on my make and model, it is determined that some 2011 Sonatas made between certain dates had faulty steering racks from the start. The car is almost undriveable and Hyundai continues to ignore this problem when it should go into recall. There are over 1100 complaints to the same issue.
