Car Stall problems of the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The car stalled in the middle of the highway. I had the car towed to my mechanic, they did a diagnostic test on the car and they found nothing to be wrong with the vehicle, but they did find shavings of medals pieces in the engine. The mechanic told me to tow my car to the dealership where I bought it from and have them look at it because they had many cars; Sonatas where the engine just completely went out. The car did stall in the middle of the highway putting me at-risk and I did not feel safe. I had many recalls on this car before, by far this was the most dangerous because I had a minor in the car. This has been an on going problem with Hyundai Sonata engines where they completely go out. It happened with my last Hyundai Sonata that I bought from the dealership where the engine went out. This is my second car from inver grove Hyundai. Its stressful and a frustrating situation.

Every time that I drive my vehicle my car stalls and it almost cause me to wreck. I had fuel pump problem in which I spent over $1,000 to get fixed is still having issues and the Hyundai will not refund me my money knowing that the fuel pump has a recall. I was driving down the road and crossed over some railroad tracks. Once I crossed the railroad tracks and began to come up a hill, my car began to stall. In just over 18 months of ownership, we have had to change brake lights at minimum 9 times. We have been told by one mechanic that it's an electrical issue but the dealership said that it wasn't. A third mechanic stated that it is an electrical issue. Currently, the brake light socket wiring is burned requiring replacement of the entire brake light housing unit. For the numerous complaints noted on the internet, this should be replaced by Hyundai and should not be an expense to owners. Additionally, my car stalled suddenly ( the engine seized ) and the repair (replacement of engine) was covered by Hyundai warranty extension.

Driving car on a main street with my kids and without warning lights in dashboard come on and car begins to stall. I try tomove to side of road and park and car as best I can on the side. Car turns off and doesn't turn back on.

I was driving home from work on the highway, and approximately 40 minutes into the ride the car struggled to accelerate while I was driving on the highway at about 65-70mph without a warning light or any type of warning display on the dashboard. The car hesitated when I put my foot on the gas to pass another car, or if I slowed down in traffic, it struggled to accelerate above 20 - 40mph. When I reached my exit, and came to a stop light, the gas pedal was all the way to the floor just so I could get up enough speed to go across the light, as well as accelerate so the car in back on me could go as well. The engine would hesitate, and when it did finally reach the right speed it was still not a smooth ride. When I reached my destination, I turned the car off, and turned it back on about 2 hrs later. The car started (with a little hesitation in the engine), although it still struggled to accelerate past 20mph. It was also hesitating, and felt as though it would stall. I drove the car to my mechanic, about a 15 minute trip on local roads. There were a couple of uphill battles, where I could barely get the car up the hill. My mechanic checked to see if there were any codes from the computer, and the code came back as 'turbo under-boost'. The turbo charge is dead. I have a turbo charged engine. Therefore, since the turbo booster is dead, it basically leaves the engine without little power!.

Stalling engine and speed cruse control, if you put the speed control on 70mph, it shows your at 65 mph and trasmission; while on motion at 20mph and while accelerating from a stop at a steady increase in speed and it deceleartes by itself.

Managed to safely pull over the vehicle to the side of the road when I realized the car started to lose power in spite of me trying to accelerate and keep it going. Towed the car to the dealership and they had the car for a week, checked and assured us the car was fine to drive but the incident occurred again while I was driving (around 45 mph) to office on 14 April 2015 and the car odometer reading was showing18385. Same as before check engine, oil, eps and battery indicators lighted on and car stopped abruptly. Would have been life threatening if it would have happened like 10 minutes earlier as I was driving on the highway. This time the car was towed to the dealership again, and was later told that the engine is faulty and needs to be replaced with a brand new engine. Car is still in the dealership.
