Engine Stall problems of the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

On April 17th around 1pm I was driving down hey 64 when my car stalled. In the middle of the road and cut off and I pulled it on the side of the highway. The Hyundai website states that this specific car has. Engine issues and that it may stall due to. Engine difficulties but when I put in my VIN no issue. Pops up. Just because the issue doesnt pops up doesnt mean im not having to deal with my engine cutting off in the middle of the highway. I been. Loyal to Hyundai for almost 13 years and to have this happen to. Me was very disheartening and scary and for. Hyundai to act unconcerned really. Is bothering me buti just hope for the best to see a resolution. I just moved to a new. City for better career opportunities and to not have a car and cough out 1k for a rental is disheartening and I hope. This gets fixed.

Brake and tail light continues to burn out. I have replaced bulbs and entire assembly every couple weeks and it melts the units as well as my engine stalls out and will not accelerate and does this intermittently.

While driving, engine stalled. Was able to pull to side of the highway. Tried to restart the car, and engine was knocking. Had car towed to dealership. Dealer is balise in fairfield CT. Service department said the engine had a recall. #162. They sent their findings to Hyundai main office. The following week, they said that the same tests had to be resent. Then the manager of service department said that there wasn't a recall. After I was told there was. I called the Hyundai directly. I recorded all my conversations with them. I was told there is a recall for engine. That it can stall while driving. Exactly what happened to me. I set a case number with Hyundai. I was told they would get back with me. They have not for over a week. Haven't heard back from the dealer in week and a half. I've been told they would return my call. But have not received a call. It's been 3 weeks since they have had my car with no response. I asked for a loaner car. I was told that I would only get a loaner car if Hyundai paid for the work. Even then, they prob won't have a loaner car. Hyundai sent me a text message stating that the engine was under recall, #162.

Engine stalls out.

Takata recall: my 2013 Hyundai sanota is not getting enough oil or to the bearimgs I have already taken the car to the hyunida dealership and let them fix the 5 recalls it already had on it which one was this issue after the fact they was "fixed" 3 months later in constantly having to replace purge valve manifister valves pretty much and thing thay has to do with fuel or air or gas getting to the engine now its constently stalling when im on the expressway amd today smoke started coming out from under the hood I really liked this car it only has 103,000 miles on it I do all the dealership recommended maintence amf this is what I get very upset with hyudai sense they supposably fixed the recall for that already theres nothing they can do so theres 10,000. 00 dollars down the drain.

Was driving the car on a residential road when the engine without any warning or any indication there could be a problem totally stalled on me. I lost all power, and right away lost power steering and braking was hard. Luckily I was on a quiet road and not on a highway, I couldn't comprehend a sudden engine stall like this on a busy interstate losing both power brakes and power steering. The car had about 45,000 miles. Hyundai said the engine is totally fried and they will require a complete rebuild which could take months. The service advisor said this is a known issue with the 2013 Sonata.

Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the engine stalled several times and had seized as the failure progressed. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the engine assembly needed to be replaced. The dealer ourisman Hyundai, 301-249-4227 diagnosed that the engine assembly needed to be replaced as well. The vehicle was not included in any manufacturer recalls which was unacceptable to the contact who was uncertain if the vehicle may be repaired. The vehicle was unable to be driven due to the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 59,000. Dyd.

Performed an evasive maneuver to avoid obstacle. Did not make contact with anything. Engine stalled and could not be started. Would not turn over. Vehicle jump started and ran. Next day the engine began knocking. Took to shop where they confirmed oil level good but metal shavings in oil. This vehicle has always been kept current with service intervals. Vehicle has been driven much on highways and has 100+ thousand miles. Concerned this engine may be involved in recent Hyundai engine recall but not tracked by VIN. Vehicle will go to Hyundai service department December 14, 2017.

My engine light is constantly on and stalling as if it do not want to go, I reported to the dealership and they said its nothing but a sensor needs to be replaced. I'm not sure why they did not replace it when there's a problem with my engine.

Engine began to knock then stalled shortly thereafter while driving on highway in a 75 mph zone. Engine oil light illumination, although it had just had an oil change for the 60k mile service earlier that morning.

While driving aprox 30 mph engine stalled.
