The contact owns a 2008 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the air bag warning light intermittently illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for routine maintenance; however, the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the passenger’s side air bag sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced the NHTSA campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall and the contact was provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
