3 Transmission Gear Slipping problem of the 2000 Jaguar S-type

Failure Date: 09/04/2005

I brought the vehicle about 6 weeks ago and the automatic transmission slips terribly and it's unsafe to operate on the road. I contacted a couple Jaguar dealerships and was told that it would cost from $90. 00-$110. 00 to program a module that is listed on the service bulletin. Why should the owners have to pay for Jaguar's flawed equipment to be repaired?.

2000 Jaguar s type 3. 0 , transmission continually slips, won't go into gear, won't down shift,; while pulling out into traffic, transmission will slip, engine will rev high, and then jump into gear. . . . Giving me a 'dead' vehicle until the transmission grabs very unsafe -.
