Going from a complete stop and accelerating, there was no power. After getting the code read, it was displaying p0887 "tcm power relay control circuit high. " I've researched the issue and noticed that it has happen on a lot of the Chrysler vehicles from 2014 to 2018.
While driving my check engine light came on and I got a "service transmission" message. I went and had it diagnosed at autozone. It came back with error code p0887- tcm power relay control circuit high. Takata recall: the transmission was acting up last month brought on by a computer flaw that was discover by Chrysler. The car would stall after coming to a halt/slow down. Based on the members of aamco, Chrysler released a bulletin 21-032-18 that indicates a computer update that revealed that the tcm power circuit control. High. this was not a driver/owner issue, this was a Chrysler/Jeep issue. After I returned from my tdy and having paid $185 for a computer update, I was looking reimbursement and was told that nothing could be done. It's disgusting how a loyal customer can be treated so poorly without having an issue resolved for something that the company caused.

Driving on hwy 11/25/17 and check engine light and service transmission msg came on. Transmission did not function properly and caused car to be stuck in one gear. Went into limp mode and made it to destination. When car was at a stop it was hard to accelerate because it was stuck in a higher gear. We turned it off and put it in park, when it was restarted it seemed to reset but the check engine light was still on. Recurred again on the way home as well as on 11/26/17. Brought car into Chrysler dealer on 11/28/17. Rode with technician and problem was duplicated. Once car hits 8th gear all warnings return. Diagnostic test gave code for tcm power control circuit high, vehicle was flash reprogrammed and I was advised that it should resolve the issue. This was most recent software update which came on 4/4/17. After a test drive issue currently seems resolved. Reporting it because it is a major safety defect and want it known that newer models are still having issues with the 9 speed transmissions. When this occurs it makes it very unsafe to drive on highway.

Driving 65-75 mph on highway in high traffic, service transmission message came on engine light came on and we had absolutely no acceleration no use of speedometer, cruse, couldn't check gauges. Were able to pull off the highway. Let vehicle sit and restart. Engine light still on called the Jeep 800 number I had in the vehicle and was disconnected twice with no return call. This vehicle has under 15,000 miles on it. Now less than a week later the same thing happened. This time I took it to an auto parts store to have them check the code. Which came up p0887 tcm power relay control circuit high definition for code: indicates that the tcm power relay control electrical circuit signal had high voltage for predetermined period of time.
While I was driving at 70 mph on a highway my Jeep Cherokee locked itself and would not shift and said service transmission. This vehicle has jerked into gear, has shifted hard, took a long time to shift into drive from park. Took it to the dealer on 1/23/17 said that they are replacing the transmission control module.
Service transmission and engine light came on while driving about 58 mph transmission basically disengaged while driving on the highway. After slowing at a stoplight , the car would not accelerate and I was nearly rear ended. Car has been at dealership for 5 days, due to be ready for pick up tomorrow after changing tcm. I was only offered a rental this afternoon-gee thanks!after some research, I am finding many similar stories in which the repairs do not hold and the owners have continued problems, the most worrisome is the transmission disengaging mid drive, and multiple breakdowns and service visits . I do not feel safe in this car and should this malfunction cause me to be crashed into and I survive, I will come at Chrysler-who's advise thus far was that I purchase a service plan-again, gee thanks- I will come at them with a fury that is unmatched.
Brand new car, shake and shimmy between 1st and 2nd gear, and hits hard in 4th. I have roughly 1400 miles on it. Took it to local Jeep dealership for service, the team claimed to fix it with a tcm flash. However, much like many others who have had the same issue, the flash did not fix the issue. Extremely disappointed in Jeep's ability to fix this across 3 years. This issue hold the greatest amount of complaints across 2014, 15, and now 16 model years. Looking forward to exercising my states lemon law.
