The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The vehicle suddenly stalled without warning while driving approximately 40 mph. The radio and headlights stayed on but the engine shut off. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the cam crank sensor was repaired but the failure continued to occur. The check engine began to illuminate before the failure occurred and when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the contact heard a grinding noise. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000. The current mileage was approximately 63,000.
