The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with an excessive amount of play in the passenger’s side front axle. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to a transmission specialist. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 68,900.

2019 Jeep Compass. Consumer writes in regards to broken axles on vehicle after driving through snow. Consumer states that while driving through snow on the highway the axles of the left tires of vehicle broke. This caused the vehicle to spin and hit a concrete divider causing damage to the body of the vehicle. Vehicle was towed to griffin's hub Chrysler Jeep Dodge (milwaukee, WI). Consumer was told that damage would not be covered under warranty because an accident caused the axles to break. Consumer states that the axles breaking were the cause of the accident.
