The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle jerked and hesitated before moving forward as the contact noticed a shake coming from the front end of the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle accelerated in excess. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer multiple times who diagnosed that the drive shaft needed to be replaced and the computer needed to be upgraded. The vehicle was repaired. However, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100. Oo.
