Front Air Bag Problems of Jeep Grand Cherokee - part 2

I was in a car accident when I tried to avoid another car that slid into my lane. The back part of the Jeep hit a telephone pole and then I slid in the ice and hit a tree head on. Police estimated the speed I hit at was 30 mph. None of the airbags deployed and my seat belt didn't lock up when the brake was on so I hit the windshield and steering wheel.

While traveling at 55 mph consumer ran into another vehicle crushing whole bumper in. None of air bags deployed. Contacted dealer.

I was involved in a crash where the front end of my vehicle impacted the side of another vehicle at appx 40 mph. The seatbelts worked but neither of the front air bags deployed in the crash.

While traveling at 35 mph another car pulled out in front of consumer's vehicle, and consumer rear ended other vehicle. Upon impact, none of the front airbags deployed. One person was injured in the accident.

Consumer was traveling about 50mph on highway and another vehicle suddenly stopped. In order for to avoid the other vehicle, she went into guardrail. When consumer applied anti-lock brakes vehicle skidded and locked up. Interior rear seat wasn't proberly bolted , seat came out from floor. It was secued. Front airbags didn't deploy. Dealership was aware of problem.

Consumer was traveling about 20 mph on a two lane highway and another vehicle crossed over into consumer's lane and hit her head-on. Upon impact, dual airbags didn't deploy. Vehicle had to be towed, and consumer was transportated to hospital.

I have 16,000 in damageso far on my Jeep and the more they take apart the more they find. I went of the road and hit a tree neither airbag deployed. I have a cut on my face that went all the way through to my teeth,I will have this for the rest of my life. Y find.

A car was parked on side of the road ,and consumer hit vehicle in the rear, and none of the front airbags deployed.

I repeatedly took vehicle to dealership for service, on all visits they told me there were no problems at all, and car was safe, well, brakes failed and I hit a truck, and airbags didn't come out. I could have died if I was on the highway and they failed.

Despite $7500 in damage, the collision failed to deploy any of the airbags. The manufacturer was informed but Chrysler customer service employee was not interested in taking down the information.

My Jeep was hit by other car @ 50-60mph-partial frontal hit. Jeep knocked back 10'. I broke ribs & permanent knee damage & pulmonary embolis. Partial frontal hit! other car on my side of street!driver air bag didn't deploy!.

Airbags didn't deploy in front end collision, then Jeep flipped on its side then over.

Consumer was traveling in light snow and doing 5-10mph with foot on the brake and abs engaged. Vehicle suddenly accelerated, causing him to rearend vehicle in front. No one was hurt, but the airbags didn't deploy.

Not deployment of airbag and failure of safety belt to restrain the driver during an accident resulted in a broken sternum, chest, neck and leg trauma. Nlm.

While entering an intersection at 35 mph, antoher vehicle hits passenger side of vehicle. Upon impact, both airbag's experienced no deployment and set belt failed. Vehicle was totaled. Driver suffered chest/ neck & leg trauma.

Was driving vehicle 50-60mph on a back road when a deer jumped in front of vehicle. Deer was hit by center of vehicle & neither air bags deployed upon impact.

While driving at 35-40 mph another vehicle pulled out in front. Consumer's vehicle ran into the other vehicle head-on, and airbags didn't deploy. Contacted dealer and manufacturer.

Leased company vehicle. While pulling into driveway applied brakes and vehicle accellerated and went through a concrete block wall and window. Wet pavement, 5mph. Neither air bag deployed when incident occurred. Dealer aware of the problem with $6, 900. 00 damage and investigation pending. Provide further information.

Consumer's son was driving the vehicle which was invovled in an accident, impact was approx 40 mph. Driver's air bag did not depoly.

The vehicle hit a tree head-on at 40mph and the airbags, both driver's and passenger's side, did not deploy. Currently, vehicle is in bodyshop.

While traveling 45-50 mph, driver hit a car that pulled out in front of him/her; neither air bag deployed nor did the set belt catch. The engine caught fire, the frame of the vehicle was bent and there was considerable damage to the front.

Consumer's wife was driving the vehicle on the road at approximately 45 mph on a normal condition when both air bags deployed without warning; dealer notified.

Consumer was sitting at a red light and another vehicle rearended the consumer's vehicle, causing their vehicle to hit the back of another vehicle, and the air bags didn't deploy. Contacted the dealer, and the dealer repaired the vehicle.

Vehicle was involved in an accident due to inadvertent air bag deployment. Driver was knocked unconscious and suffered other injuries.

While the vehicle was on and in parked, it jumped out of gear, from park to reverse, lost control, resulting in an accident/ no eployment of driver's air bag during accident, resulting in injuries to driver.

While attempting to make a slow right turn front air bag suudenly deployed throwing drive back into the seat, and causing him to remove foot from brake pedal, jamming accelerator to the floor. Vehicle lost control and slammed into the block building.

Vehicle was in a frontal collision while driving at 40 mph. None of the air bags deployed upon impact.

Jeep in question, hit black ice and flipped over guardrail . Neither of airbags deployed, front bumper tore off. Jeep was turned off at completion of rollover, and still broke into flames.
