This vehicle has experienced continuous hv battery drainage since repaired under recall 68c on 2/9/26. Multiple follow up trips to the dealer and discussions with the stellantis "star team" have resulted in them informing me the vehicle is unfixable but "safe" to drive. They admit they have no idea what the problem is or how to solve it.

The check engine came on as I was driving to work the other morning, and when I got back in the car to head home for the night, my car wouldn't start at all. I have a failed high pressure fuel pump system. I used my own obd-ii code reader, and got back code p0087. This issue is connected to the fca z46 recall issued in June 2022. The previous owner/dealership performed the service for this specific recall in may 2024 and was marked as complete. I became the current owner of this Jeep in October 2024, just 5 months after the recall was completed. I have personally driven this vehicle for only 20,000 miles since I took over ownership, which means that the new replacement parts covered under the z46 recall failed at no more than 25,000 miles. This part is stated to last 100,000+ miles. Not 20-25k miles. However, mopar states that recall parts are only covered for two years after the recall was completed. This puts the expiration for the 2 year part coverage at may 2026. It is currently June 2026. Just one month out of recall part warranty, and both mopar and my local fca approved dealership are refusing to honor the warranty and fix this issue for me for free, covered by the terms of the recall. My Jeep no longer starts at all. I got it towed back to my house so I could have it somewhere safe until I could figure out what to do next about this unexpected break down. Total cost out of pocket would range upward of $10,000 for a full hpfp replacement, including fuel pump module, fuel rails and all high pressure lines, fuel injectors and complete system clean. I'm just one month over the 2 year recall warrenty after recall was completed. And because of that, I'm looking at upwards of $10k for failed parts covered by an fca safety recall. New parts only lasted 25 months and 20k miles. In no way should I be responsible for the cost of this repair that is obviously now considered a an unremedied recall.
Continuously losing power while driving. It almost feels like a drop in power and a tug backwards. It’s not the same as regenerative breaking as I am familiar with that concept. Yesterday it responded differently. Instead of losing power there was a burst of power which almost caused me to crash into the vehicle in front of me. Lastly for the last 6 months my car fuel gauge doesn’t work correctly. It gets stuck at half and doesn’t register the gasoline put in til miles later. This has caused me to run out or gas 3 times, something that never happened in my other vehicles.

This complaint involves a violation of safety recall obligations for Jeep recall 68c (NHTSA campaign 25v741000) concerning a high-voltage hybrid battery fire hazard. On Friday, may 29, 2026, the vehicle was brought to carman Chrysler Jeep Dodge (new castle, DE) for mandatory recall testing. The vehicle failed the manufacturer's diagnostic analysis due to a critical internal cell separator defect. Because of the immediate thermal and fire risk, the dealership service department immediately grounded the vehicle on-site, stating it is completely unsafe to drive or park near structures. Stellantis/fca has failed to provide a timely remedy or replacement parts, leaving our vehicle stranded on a commercial lot. Furthermore, the manufacturer has refused to provide direct-billed alternative transportation, offering only an out-of-pocket rental reimbursement model. Because parts are delayed for several months, bankrolling thousands of dollars upfront for a rental vehicle is a massive financial burden that is completely unfeasible for our family. The dealership has also failed to provide physical or digital copies of the failed diagnostic paperwork or repair order. We are currently left with a grounded vehicle and no viable, safe transportation.
This issue has happened three times. I am on the highway going 70mph, the rpms fluctuate, the headlights go out and then I lose propulsion/unable to maintain or increase speed. This is a safety concern as it has happened 3 times on the highway with no warning and limited time to pull over to safety. The dealership is unable to replicate the problem or diagnose an issue.
Vehicle had a strong odor of gasoline then started spuddering and then caught fire while driving.
Loss of propulsion while driving yes it is available for inspection upon request complete and total loss of propulsion/acceleration when pressing on gas pedal while driving and going into a left turn across oncoming traffic; driver and five year old passenger in the vehicle at the time of incident. Safely maneuvered the vehicle to the side of the roadway. Dealership has not been able to recreate the problem. Vehicle has been at dealership service department since may 14, 2026, immediately after incident. Vehicle was able to be driven to dealership after incident. Incident reported to stellantis may 28, 2026. Stated that the report would be escalated and I would be contacted via email in 1-2 business days. No direct manufacturer inspection at this time, and police/insurance company were not contacted as there was no accident to report. Safety recall 73c in regard to this matter was completed September 26, 2025 according to stellantis customer service and recall information available for the VIN of this vehicle. No warning lights/messages/symptoms of the problem prior to incident. During incident and after loss of propulsion started, "d" started flashing on the dash console and the gear shift knob, and I was unable to shift out of drive. After approximately 5 minutes, the vehicle put itself in park and engaged the emergency brake. Video of part of the incident available upon request.
The car shut off and I can’t get it back on it does not jump I tried replacing the alternator but that’s not it.

On 5/72026@app 3:14pm after picking up one grandchild, and at a stop light on the way to p/u the other, the Jeep without warning just disengaged when the gas pedal was depressed, but to no avail. While frozen, the dashboard may have displayed something that was not noted in the panic to get the car moving! the internal panel was still illuminated, however the car would not move forwards although still in "drive" with nothing having been switched, shifted or toggled except engagement of the brake to stop at the traffic light. The Jeep had to be placed in "park", the starter button pressed, then pressed again to completely restart the vehicle. This was a potentially huge safety issue with many cars around us honking & rushing to pick up their own children, yet fortunately no one ran into us with our precious little rider!.

I recently purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and began experiencing serious issues almost immediately after taking possession of the vehicle. The vehicle has stalled unexpectedly while driving on multiple occasions, including during active driving conditions. It also has difficulty starting and has shut off without warning. The vehicle has already undergone multiple repairs within a short period of time, including work related to the radiator, spark plugs, and ignition coil. Despite these repairs, the issues continue. This creates a significant safety concern, as the vehicle becomes inoperable without warning, especially during daily highway driving. I rely on this vehicle for transportation, and it is currently unreliable and unsafe to operate.
The vehicle is a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee with open safety recalls t59 and v62. The brake warning light is currently illuminated, and based on the symptoms I believe the brake booster may be failing. The braking system is available for inspection upon request. The safety concern is that the vehicle may have reduced braking assist or impaired braking performance while being driven. This creates a risk of increased stopping distance, loss of braking confidence, or inability to stop safely in traffic. I contacted the fca/stellantis-recommended Jeep dealership in lapeer, michigan multiple times this week to schedule recall-related service. I was repeatedly transferred to service voicemail and did not receive return calls. When I called back and asked to speak with someone else, I reached the service manager. I explained that the vehicle has an illuminated brake warning light and that I suspect the brake booster may be failing. The service manager focused on where I lived, why I was not using a closer dealer, and mentioned that the vehicle is 14 years old, rather than clearly arranging recall service or addressing the brake safety concern. The problem has not yet been inspected or confirmed by a dealer because I have been unable to obtain timely service despite repeated attempts. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others. The warning lamp currently present is the brake warning light. The exact first date the warning light appeared was within the last 2 weeks.

My vehicle is a subject of recall 22v-406 (fca recall number z46 [xxx] ), and the repair work for that recall was completed on April 26 of 2024. On April 23, 2026, the vehicle failed in the exact way described in the recall: loss of power, particulate in the fuel lines, failed high-pressure fuel pump. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Vehicle has two open unrepaired recalls: t59 (NHTSA 17v-572, brake booster water shield) and v62 (NHTSA 19v-813, fuel pump relay). The brake booster is currently symptomatic — an audible humming noise is present when the vehicle is stopped and idling, consistent with vacuum loss in the brake booster system. I contacted lafontaine Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of fenton, michigan to schedule the recall repairs. An appointment was set for 8:15 am on April 24, 2026. I requested a loaner or rental vehicle as the dealer indicated they would need to keep the vehicle over the weekend for the work. The dealer never followed up regarding the rental. Instead, the dealer contacted me to appraise my current vehicle and discuss new vehicle inventory. The recall work was never discussed. When I did not appear for the appointment, the dealer did not follow up or offer to reschedule. I then contacted stellantis customer service directly and explained the situation, including the active brake booster symptom. The stellantis representative connected me with a second dealership, bill snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram on woodward avenue in detroit, michigan, then disconnected from the call without notice. I was left explaining the situation a second time to a dealership that informed me they do not provide loaner vehicles. The rental option requires me to pay out of pocket upfront and then seek reimbursement from the manufacturer in the form of a check. This is not a viable option. Additionally, this dealership is located approximately one hour from my residence in flint, making it logistically impractical for recall service. I am currently driving a vehicle with an active safety defect affecting the braking system. The recall remedy language states that limited braking ability can cause a crash without prior warning. Neither the manufacturer nor two dealerships have provided adequate accommodation to complete the recall repair while ensuring I have safe transportation during the service per.
I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue with my brand-new Jeep Grand Cherokee (got it from darcars rockville, MD dealership) and to request immediate resolution under warranty and applicable consumer protection laws. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation of reliability, safety, and comfort for my family. Unfortunately, within a very short period of ownership, the vehicle has experienced repeated and dangerous failures. On 17th April 2026, while traveling at approximately 65 mph on a highway in pennsylvania around 1:00 am, the vehicle suddenly shut down without warning. This created an extremely hazardous situation for my family. We contacted roadside assistance, but no help arrived until approximately 8:00 am. Due to freezing temperatures and lack of heat in the vehicle, we were forced to call 911 for assistance and were transported to a nearby hotel around 3:30 am. The vehicle was subsequently towed to a dealership, where diagnostics were performed. We were informed that the issue was related to a coding or malfunction and that it had been resolved. However, just two days later, while returning home, the exact same issue occurred again under similar conditions—vehicle shutdown at highway speed. Once again, we were stranded at night, forced to rely on emergency services, and did not reach home until approximately 4:30 am. This pattern of failure is unacceptable and represents a severe safety defect. My family’s safety was put at significant risk on two separate occasions. As a result, we have completely lost confidence in the vehicle’s reliability and safety. Immediate escalation of this case and a full technical investigation a written explanation of the root cause of these failures a permanent resolution to ensure this issue cannot recur consideration of a manufacturer buyback or replacement under applicable lemon law provisions.

I just bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the VIN number listed above. I saw that there was a recall where the dealer had to put on trailer hitches on the vehicle as without it if rear ended the gas tank could explode. I understand this is a older vehicle but do they not service recalls anymore for something like that??? it could explode it hit in the back. When I put my VIN in it says no outstanding recalls yet it does not or ever had a hitch on it for this repair. Any info on this is appreciated. . . . Thanks.

When accelerating, the car suddenly jerks and stops moving at a consistent speed. This happened multiple times over the last 8 months or so. Sometimes it happens immediately after backing out of my driveway. It has also happened while driving on a highway at high speeds (65mph) where I've nearly been involved in high speed accidents. There was a recall back in November that claimed this was a software issue, however, it has continued to happen. No warning lights come on.
I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (recall 78c) on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which has now been open for approximately 139 days without a remedy. This recall involves engine manufacturing contamination that may lead to catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and potential fire risk. Despite the seriousness of the recall, stellantis has failed to provide a remedy and has given conflicting and unclear guidance regarding safe operation. At one point, I was instructed to operate the vehicle using the gasoline engine only. I was later told stellantis cannot provide technical guidance and to contact the dealership. The dealership has stated they have no clear direction from stellantis. As a result, I have no clear understanding of whether it is safe to operate the vehicle, use electric mode, or rely solely on the gasoline engine. Restricting use to the gasoline engine also prevents use of the plug-in hybrid system, meaning the vehicle cannot be used for its intended purpose, resulting in increased fuel costs over several months. I have also incurred out-of-pocket rental car expenses during recall service. Stellantis indicated reimbursement would be available but has not provided a process or responded to follow-ups. Given the nature of the recall and lack of guidance, I cannot determine if this vehicle is safe to transport my newborn child. At this point, I am concerned with both the unresolved defect and the manufacturer’s failure to provide consistent safety direction, communication, or a path toward resolution.
Car has died while driving 4 times in the last 3 years. Complete loss of power while driving. Lost of power steering, loss of brakes while driving. Chrystler is saying recall was resolved by previous owner but it is still happening. Extremely dangerous. I have paid out of pocket to replace the tipm (over $3000) and I was not told about the fuel pump relay issue associated and connected with this recall.
I was driving on the highway when all of a sudden my gas pedal stopped propelling the car and the engine seemed to be off. I looked at the dash board and saw that the car was indicating it was off and that I needed to step on the brake and hit the ignition button to turn it back on. I barely had control of the car but was able to pull off to the side of the road. I then had to wait several minutes for the car to respond and turn back on. This has happened in the past to me with this car but this is the first time I knew I could report it here. This is a terrible vehicle and I’ve had nothing but safety issues with it since I leased it.
I was driving my car and the car shut off at 30 mph. It completely stopped and the steering wheel locked up. Started flashing start/stop and told me to put it in park. Glad no one got hurt and hope it doesn’t do it again.

This vehicle has experienced repeated mechanical and electronic failures since delivery, including hybrid drivetrain faults, heating system malfunctions, and multiple diagnostic repair attempts. The vehicle is also subject to active safety recall 78c, which identifies a manufacturing defect that may cause catastrophic engine failure and vehicle fire risk. The manufacturer has acknowledged that a repair remedy is currently unavailable. The dealership that sold and serviced the vehicle has also recently ceased operations following acquisition by carvana. These conditions materially impair the vehicle’s safety, reliability, and usability.
1st incident: I pulled out from [xxx] onto [xxx] . As I was accelerating to reach the speed limit the gas pedal became unresponsive around 30-40 mph losing all propulsion. I pushed the gas pedal to the floor and it still did not accelerate, slowing the vehicle down with highway traffic approaching from behind. After 5-10 seconds the pedal suddenly became responsive and the car began to accelerate at a bit of a slower rate than typical for the first few seconds then accelerated as it should. 2nd incident: I was turning from [xxx] , into the driveway at my place of employment. The drive way is on an incline and halfway up the incline the gas pedal again became unresponsive. Due to the incline the vehicle did not continue to coast forward and quickly lost speed at which point I hit the brakes to avoid possibly rolling back into the highway traffic. I then tried the gas pedal again and the vehicle accelerated. This could become extremely dangerous if it were to occur during merging onto a busy highway with traffic moving at high speed, as just one example. The two incidents happened about a month apart. The dealership was not able to replicate the issue as it is a very random occurrence with no warning of when it will happen. No warning lights became visible on the dash. Through a quick google search it became apparent this is a known issue, with several possible quick fixes, which I relayed to the dealership when I took the vehicle in for them to fix it. It was not replicated on their test drive and no codes were showing so I was told they couldn’t do anything unless a code would pop up or they were able to replicate the issue, which is very unlikely to happen during a quick test drive. The dealership stated it has performed all recalls to date. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
I had a recall for my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee to repair a faulty fuel pump relay causing hard starting now it’s starting to intermittently do the same thing sometimes starts right up then sometimes will crank a long time before starting. This is what it was doing before they did the recall now it’s doing it again.
The vehicle was in hybrid mode. My wife was driving and had slowed to enter a roundabout to yield to another vehicle. When she accelerated and entered the roundabout, the vehicle stalled / shut itself off and flashed service hybrid system. She had to coast to a stop as it lost all propulsion. The vehicle started again after shutting it off and letting it go to sleep by opening the door. This same issue happened while slowing, then accelerating into a roundabout while I was driving a few weeks before in "electric" mode. During this event, it stalled in the middle of the road and was blocking traffic. I had to shut the car off, open the door, wait, then restart it by going to "sport mode" to get the gas engine started.
Component/system failure: the internal fuel pump relay within the totally integrated power module (tipm-7) failed. This component is not available for inspection as it is an internal board-mounted relay, but the dealership-installed external bypass relay (part #cbwpr091aa) and the failed fuel pumps are documented on the attached service invoice. Safety risk: the failure caused an unpredictable engine stall at highway speeds in heavy traffic. This resulted in a complete loss of motive power while moving, creating an immediate risk of a rear-end collision and leaving the vehicle stranded in a live lane of traffic. Confirmation: the technician documented a terminal 'static pressure drop' to 35 psi (spec is 58 psi). Based on this confirmed low-pressure state, the dealer required the replacement of both the main fuel pump and the siphon/auxiliary transfer pump, alongside the installation of the external bypass relay kit (part #cbwpr091aa) to restore safe operation. " inspection: the vehicle was inspected and repaired by the authorized manufacturer representative (larson Chrysler Jeep). I have also opened a formal case with stellantis corporate (case # 96059987). Warning symptoms: there were no warning lamps, mil messages, or starting issues prior to the initial stall. The 'long crank' and failure-to-start symptoms occurred immediately after the highway-speed stalls. The vehicle would not restart until it had sat for a period of time, indicating a thermal failure (heat soak) of the internal fuel pump relay. This resulted in the vehicle being stranded in live traffic multiple times while waiting for the component to cool and allow a restart "note: the attached repair invoice from larson Jeep contains a clerical typo in the VIN (listing a 'd' instead of a 'b'). The dealership has been contacted to provide a corrected copy, but the technical diagnostics and repair were selling dealer: titus will used cars lakewood, wa servicing / repair dealer: larson Jeep puyallup, wa.
Heavy vibration of entire vehicle when in reverse. Occasional lack of power when accelerating. Issues with the transmission occasionally failing to shift gears.
Recall v62/NHTSA 19v-813 that was done on my vehicle in Jan 2023 at 44607 miles failed 0n March 4 2026 the vehicle died and would not start and the repair shop had to replace the fuel pump relay again only 4,811 mile later even though it had been 3 years not many miles and of course Jeep will not reimburse me because it was over 3 years ago.

As the car was driving the engine stopped. Is is on par with their 78c recall for Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The car as noted by the recall is unsafe to drive after an issue has presented relating to the recall 78c. Stellantis refuses to start an early lease termination.
Since I first leased my vehicle in may of 2023, I have received over 7 safety recalls. At least 2 of which are related to the main battery of the hybrid power system. Ever since I got the first one, I was recommended to park my car outside my house for risk of fire while parked. The latest recall, which has not been resolved involved the battery again and after taking the car to the dealer, the battery did not pass the test and the dealer requested I leave the car with them and advised this will take about a month to correct if they can correct it at all.
Fuel pump loosing prime it cracks either in housing or hose internal to the tank and it causes it to loose prime. Long crank times/no start and stall and rough idling at stoplights and upon acceleration. Issue was confirmed and reproduced by independent service center.
So we where never notified of the recalls on are vehicle, we found out for are selves. Dealership never notified us of them at the last oil change, and now we are trying to get out of the vehicle.
Vehicle recently had recall 68c completed. Was driving in electric mode on the highway at approximately 55mph. Upon pressing accelerator further to increase speed to pass another vehicle, I lost all electric power and the vehicle lost speed down to 40mph, despite accelerator pedal being pressed to the floor. Approx 3-5 seconds later, gas engine started, revved high, vehicle lunged forward to 65mph, continued to accelerate after releasing accelerator pedal, and was able to be slowed by pressing brake. This same situation was replicated 9 hours later on the same highway. Dealer claims this is "normal operation. ".
