I have been waiting for nearly one year for Jeep to provide recall parts for recall v62 fuel pump relay. My dealer is williamsburg Chrysler Jeep Dodge in williamsburg, virginia. The problem this recall corrects is intermediate stalling, which results in a loss of power steering and could result in loss of control of the vehicle. My Jeep stalled on 10 may and over the last few years this has occurred countless other times. My dealer.

The v62 recall did not work for my Jeep. It was fine for about 3 mos (didn't stall while driving) and then it stalled exiting the highway. In the past year I've had the fuel pump replaced, multiple fixes for this recall and it still stalls.
Despite recall v62 being fixed by Jeep dealership, vehicle continues to stall while in motion. Often times while turning either on city streets or highway. After multiple stalls I started keeping a log of when and where they occur. This is extremely dangerous and has caused for some scary situation on the highway and approaching intersections. The recall fuel pump relay fix has not corrected the problem.
Recall v62/NHTSA 19v-813. Fuel pump relay recall. Responded to the recall and a new wiring harness was installed. This has not fixed the problem. While stationary, vehicle has false starts almost on a daily basis. By false I mean car will crank but does not start. At times while in motion, vehicle will run sluggish and check engine light comes on. This is the second replacement harness installed .

Jeep and fca refuse to fix the fuel pump relay on my Jeep. They claim they only get one part per month and cannot fix my Jeep. I have called 5 different Jeep dealerships and fca us corporate office and was told the same thing. How is this legal? they won't even tell me the name of the part so I can replace it myself. I have been trying ti get it replaced for half a year.
I took my Jeep to have fuel pump relay and alternator recalls serviced at napleton Jeep in kissimmee FL and the car broke down a few days after being serviced, had the car towed to the dealership where they charged me $189 to say it was the starter that was bad and quoted me $800, I felt put off and got the car towed to a diff private owned shop for a second opinion, the mechanic did a full diagnosis and provided proof that the starter is good and its the alternator, stated that the dealership not only installed improperly but that the part is faulty,. Ground wire was not connected to the engine and therefore it couldn't be started alternator charge wire installed in an incorrect position and tugging on harness and protective cover can't be placed over power wire alternator not charging and getting extremely hot, all of which should be covered under warranty, so I went back to the dealership and asked for the service manager, oscar, who told me he would not only not refund any money for the mis diagnosis but he would also charge me for any further repairs even tho the part that was installed two weeks ago is the one that has and issue and should one still under the same warranty. Then I was harassed by service manager who threatened violence on my family over the phone. The Jeep now even once repaired could have so many issues arise as well because of the negligence this dealership has shown, the have underqualified and unsupervised technicians doing jobs they are not ready to be doing alone. Now I worry for my safety and longevity of my vehicle. The dealership also left the car running the entire time they had it. So my battery was shot and it is brand new. I have all receipts and documents as well just your website isn't allowing to upload them all so I included a photo to show how negligent this dealership was.
There has been a fuel pump relay recall for two years, finally come out with a repair and now there aren't enough parts. This is a serious recall and needs to be addressed ASAP.
For 2 years I've been getting recall notices to replace a failing fuel pump relay for our Jeep. Every time I schedule an appointment to address the recall I'm told that the part is not available. While driving the vehicle will randomly stall out and will need to be restarted. This situation poses a safety issue and could lead to an accident which could be potentially fatal. Chrysler corporation needs to be accountable for this and take all necessary steps to insure the safety of its vehicles and its occupants.
Recall repair: unable to remedy this safety recall for fuel pump relay in a timely manner: 3. 5 months and still waiting. That external fuel pump relay is something you can order on amazon for $10; however, the dealership indicates that they can only procure one per week. At 2 months wait, the dealership allen samuels in waco, TX indicated "the recall you have has had serious parts restrictions. We are only allowed to secure one per week. . . . But it still may be a few months before we can procure one for you. " manufacturer recall numberv62; NHTSA recall number19v-813 summary -- a fuel pump relay failure can result in a stall condition if the vehicle is running or a no-start condition if not running. Recalls 19v-913 and 15v-115 around the 28th day of December, 2020, I was in public street on my way to my mother's home at night in my vehicle. The vehicle began to slow down. I began to push the engine pedal and it didn't reacted. It was difficult to push the break. I was near the entrance of the community gate and, because I was driving slowly, I was able to put the car on neutro and managed to enter the community and left the car inside the gate community because was not able to reach my mother's house. It was very scary and dangerous situation, because I could have been hit by a car by the sudden slowing of car velocity and while turning left to the community gate in neutro. Called Chrysler dealer to inform them that the same stalling situation that occurred the several times they inspected my car for previously, happened again. They told me that the soonest appointment they can give me is in the 18th of January of 2021. The car is stationed waiting to be towed to the dealer. This would be at least the 6th time the car had this problem, and the third that I have to tow it. The first time the car was towed was in April of 2018; that time they replace the fuel pump/module. In September of 2018, the external fuel pump relay was replaced. The car was brought to the dealer again in March and November of 2019 for the same problem but they alleged nothing was found. The last time was in the 11th of August of 2020, when the car was towed to the dealer because it stalled and could not be turn on; the fuel pump relay control circuit overlay harness was replaced, (according to work order). Just after four months, the car stalled while moving in the middle of a transited public street at night. This happened previously, but the car manage to recover quickly while driving. This is why I began to drive slowly. More than two years and still the safety issue persists.
Dec 2020: in a parking lot, the engine would turn over but not start. My mechanic bypassed the built-in fuel pump relay in the tipm but the engine would not start. Towed to campbell Jeep, benton ar & they diagnosed that both fuel pumps were bad. Dealer could not give reason both pumps went out but I suspect that statement is untrue given that my research shows that the tipms have been a known problem since 2010. Cost of the repair was $1,871. 96 3/23/at home, the Jeep would turn over but not start as before in Dec 2020. Sat three hours then started. Continues to start but after research I suspect that the built-in fuel relay in the tipm is bad but allows for intermittent starting. I corresponded with an engineer in maryland that has devised fuel relay bypasses for Chrysler's defective tipms. I am purchasing a bypass from him for $36. Were the fuel pumps bad in Dec 2020 or would this $36 part have repaired it? in my research, it has also been reported that the defective tipm may cause the fuel pumps to continue running after the engine is turned off. Did the fuel pumps overheat because of that or did the dealership misdiagnose bad fuel pumps and charge me for work that did not need to be done? I suspect that Chrysler's known defective tipms have caused Chrysler vehicle owners a great deal of money. I also suspect that Chrysler's continued use of the known defective tipms also pose a potential physical danger to the driver & passengers if & when the engine stops in traffic or when they are stranded.

I was driving on highway 26 west bound in oregon just outside of portland. My car has ecodiesel engine in it. I usually buy gas when it is about a quarter tank of fuel. I had about quarter tank of fuel and about 150 miles range left. I was on the left lane and traveling at about 60 mph. All the sudden my engine stopped instantly on the left lane of highway 26. All the cars behind me hit the brakes not to rear end me. My car's engine stopped and slowed down so quickly. It was scary. I tried to pull over to the right side of the highway. Once the car was parked, it said that battery saving mode. It would crank up but not start the engine. I called a mobile mechanic over. He checked the battery and alternator and said the battery is strong and no blown fuses whatsoever. He then went under the car and listen the fuel pump and said that it sounds very bad. He had beliefs that I had problems with my fuel system, maybe a broken fuel pump. He read the codes out of car computer and they all were related to the fuel systems. I started doing some online research and found out that Jeep Grand Cherokees has a faulty design of fuel tanks and if the fuel goes below the quarter tank level. Then pump does not work properly. Upon reading this, I called a friend who brought me 5 gallons of diesel and we put the diesel inside the tank and the car started immediately. I drove it to a near by gas station and filed up the tank full. I think this car has some sort of faulty design of fuel pump. It will cause a fatal accident if it does not get corrected by the manufacturer as soon as possible. When the engine stopped suddenly, the car actually swerved around little bit. This incident could have ended fatally if I was not quick enough. I am writing this to let you gusy know about this flaw about Grand Cherokee ecodiesels 3. 0 engines.

Due to the safety recall v62 I've experienced multiple incidents of my 2012 Grand Cherokee stalling while driving. Within 6 months I've had the relay sensors replaced twice (no charge) and a new fuel pump, $1,200 out of pocket and my Jeep still stalled. This is now the 4th time my Jeep is sitting at the dealership with no fix and fca will not reimburse me for a rental. My case manager from fca said I am out of warranty, since when does a safety recall fall under a warranty? so either I drive an accident waiting to happen or continue to pay for a rental so that I can get back and forth to work. This is unacceptable that fca still does not have a fix for this and now instead of a car payment I'm paying twice as much for a rental.
Received recall notice 12 months ago - v62/NHTSA 19v-813, fuel pump relay. A engine stall while driving can cause vehicle crash without prior warning. Vehicle has been in shop 2 times in last week with issues with the etc (electronic throttle control) caused by the fuel pump. Failure to start from a cold and a warm start has happened 6 times. First repair cost $553. 66 and today's repair of the fuel pump while covered under warranty (since the first recall part failed) doesn't help fix the problem. Should not take 12 months to resolve an issue of this magnatude. It is very stressful driving this vehicle with the knowledge that it is having issues and could fail and cause a crash. How soon will this recall be rectified?11.
For the past few weeks, my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been stalling while driving. The first time it happened, I was in a line of traffic, had just come a up a hill, I pressed the gas pedal, my car bucked, and then my car "stalled". Thankfully, we kept coasting, because, like I said, we were in a long line of traffic going 50 mph on a major road. I pulled over, shut my car off, turned it back on, and was able to drive us the two miles to get back home. I no longer feel safe driving my two children in my Grand Cherokee, therefore my husband has been driving my car and I've been driving his. So far this week, the Grand Cherokee has stalled six times while my husband is driving, usually while he is accelerating to get onto the highway. There is a recall on the Grand Cherokee; 19v-813, which describes a faulty fuel pump relay. However, there is no fix available through Jeep. We have contacted several authorized Jeep dealers in the our area and no one will offer any assistance that relates to the recall. I believe that the problem is not just the fuel pump relay, but the totally integrated power module or tipm. I'm having numerous other electrical problems with my Grand Cherokee, but none that pose such a safety hazard as the stalling. I have been reading other Grand Cherokee owner complaints, and many site this is the problem, stating that they have had their fuel pump relay fixed, but theur car is still stalling. My other car problems are as follows, which point to the tipm: while key fob in within vehicle, dash stating key isn't in car or fob is damaged, car turns on but shuts back off quickly on its own, the a/c only works on the passenger side of the car, the tire pressure light blinks constantly though pressure is fine, the "service 4 wheel drive" warning comes on while driving, but shuts off when car is turned off, and check engine light comes on and off.

I've had a recall on my truck for over a year on the fuel pump relay switch. I've been calling about my recall numerous of times & pinebelt Jeep & Chrysler in lakewood NJ continues to tell me the parts are not available yet but are not attempting to try & do something else in the meantime!!! they continue to treat me as if I'm an idiot! I purchased the car from there over 4 yrs ago & they are not treating me as a valued customer!!!! I've asked numerous of times for a loaner because my truck is not starting now & I'm a nurse so I need to get to work!!! I have no other way of getting to work but with my truck! I've had to pay for lyft driver to take me at times which cost an arm & a leg all because I can't get no cooperation with pinebelt! I finally got an appt for November 27,2020 but now they're telling me that I have to pay fir a tow & pay for the diagnostic if my truck does not start!!! like how the heck is that my fault???!!! my truck is not starting because of this recall!!!!! I've been sooooo frustrated with these people for over a year but they can not give me a simple solution or help me as a valued customer!!! I've never seen anything like this!! it's truly sad! I'm still paying for a truck that I can't use all the time because I never know when it's going to start or break down on me!!! I need a resolution ASAP!!! what else can I do??!!! please someone help me!!.
The car has shut off while driving due to the fuel pump relay issue. We have taken it in to the dealership to repair; however, they state it could take a year or more due to limited supply of the parts required. The car is inoperable, but Chrysler is refusing to provide a rental car or offer a reasonable purchase price. Please help or let me know who can!.
When driving my vehicle I lost all engine power, I no longer had control of the vehicle. Luckily I was driving in a parking lot at the time and going at a relatively slow rate of speed so I was able to pull over and shut the car down. I tried to start the car again and it did start on it's own. The car continually stalls during start up and has now started to stall and shut down while driving. I brought it to an auto body shop where they informed me I had a faulty fuel pump which I then discovered was recalled by Jeep. When I tried to bring the Jeep to an authorized dealer to have it repaired they informed me that they did not have the part, it had not been made available to them. This was the same with 2 other dealerships I called. I also called the corporate number and was told the part was not yet available and they would not assist me with a rental or loaner vehicle while waiting for the part.
This complaint is in regards to safety recall v62 where the fuel pump relay causes a stall while the vehicle is in motion. My car has regularly been stalling whiling I'm driving in traffic for well over a year. I have been in touch with fca several times telling them of the risk I am in on a daily basis and asking about when parts will become available for this recall. It has been almost a year since the recall has come out with no progress. The stalling has almost caused several accidents and has put me in harms way every time I drive; I am constantly maneuvering to avoid a collision and the only reason an accident hasn't happened yet is because of how over defensive I have to be while operating the vehicle. Fca even tried doing a temporary fix but the car stalled within 24 hours of this attempt. I am very concerned for the safety of my family and others whenever I'm operating this vehicle. Note, below you asked for a date of when this happened; it happens almost daily for well over a year. I put today's date because this is the most current date that the vehicle stalled while I was driving in traffic and nearly missed being hit by a car coming up behind me at a very high rate of speed. I am still shaking from the near miss of being hit and seriously injured.
Chrysler has failed to provide a safety recall remedy in a timely fashion and should be required to provide a remedy now! they recalled the fuel pump relay (19v-813 or v62) on November 19, 2019 and have yet to offer a remedy. They installed an external rely on my vehicle several years ago during the first recall and this external relay has already failed once leaving me stranded in a busy intersection. This defective part presents a serious safety hazard and Chrysler should be forced to provide an acceptable remedy in a timely fashion. Owners have now been waiting for over ten months from the original recall and have received no further communication from Chrysler.
For the last month the vehicle has stalled while driving and in some cases would not start. I recently discovered that there is a safety recall v62 fuel pump relay problem in the model. I have been told that the fix for this problem will not be available until December. I use the car daily and for long trip and fear it is a safety hazard. Chrysler recommends bring the car in for a temporary fix which is worrisome.
2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a recall (fca# v62) NHTSA recall # 19v-813 for a fuel pump relay. Per the recall, failure of the relay can result in a stall and a no-start condition. Jeep (fca) does not have a fix for this problem and because of this my Jeep either will not start or stalls without warning. Jeep dealer and fca are not offering any resolution. What options does the consumer have in this case. Please advise.
I had to replace the alternator and wasn't aware of recall t36 and now my fuel pump went out (recall v62). My truck was stalling at first, now it won't run at all. When I called the dealer and they said there were no replacement parts in stock. The cost to repair out of pocket is $1450. 00. Additional information, is available upon request. Thank you!.
A recall was issued November 14, 2019 to replace a fuel pump relay that can result in a no-start condition or an engine stall if the vehicle is running. A vehicle engine stall while driving can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. This recall was issued almost a year ago and has not yet been resolved. I am concerned about the safety of driving this vehicle. I contacted the fca and they suggested that I take the vehicle into my Jeep dealer to have it analyzed to see if there if anything wrong with the relay that is currently installed. I took my vehicle into the Jeep dealer and they told me that putting it on the analyzer would do not good. I want to know when this recall will be resolved.
I was passing a slow moving truck on a 2 lane highway when my Jeep lost power for several seconds. I came very close to a head on collision. The Jeep has had a no start problem since I purchased it 5 years ago. It has been in dealership service departments multiple times for the issue with no resolution when still under warranty. All online research points to a defective tipm and there are related recalls. The current open safety recall is number v62 with fca for the fuel pump relay which is part of the tipm. The loss of power is one issue that can be caused by the faulty tipm, as well as the no start problem my Jeep has had the entire time I've owned it. I contacted fca recall assistance center and opened a case, informing them that I almost had a head on collision due to their defective product with an open recall. They told me there was nothing they could do but notify me when a fix was available. This recall was issue almost a year ago and involves life safety. I have no choice but to continue driving a vehicle that almost killed me 2 days ago because fca refuses to fix a defective part for several years.
On September 1, 2020 shortly after starting the vehicle and while in motion, the engine stopped causing loss of control of the vehicle. I was able to bring the vehicle to stop in roadway with hard pressure on brakes. Fortunately, no contact was made with person or property. I attempted to re-start the vehicle but it would only crank and not start. Several minutes later was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle has had trouble starting on many occasions prior but this was the first time it stopped while driving. The only indication the vehicle had lost power was when I attempted to slow the vehicle and turn the wheel. Prior to this the dealership has examined the issue on at least four separate occasions spanning years. I have been told the fuel pump relay has been replaced twice on this vehicle. After both of these alleged repairs the vehicle has exhibited the same symptoms and returned to the dealership. In the last visit with the dealership on June 23, 2020 and phone call with fca us llc's customer service on September 1, 2020 I was directly informed that no solution exists. There is no advanced notice to the driver as this does not occur each time the vehicle is driven. When the vehicle does lose power while driving, no noticeable indication of this danger can be quickly observed by the driver. It was only noticed when I attempted to maneuver the brakes or steering wheel. This is a known and hazardous condition created by fca us llc. Which they have not adequately addressed.
Driving down the highway and lost all power. Will not restart. Towed to dealer they say it's fuel pump related. It is a fuel pump relay which is a very known issue (recall) on 2011-2013 but not on anything newer.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee occasionally won't start. It has to stand for a few minutes and then starts. This happened once or twice a month. The dealer stated that there was a recall v62. (fuel pump relay). I have had the relay replaced 3 times, but not the original as seemingly it is not yet available. The car has never stalled or acted strangely once going. The agent has fitted another relay, but now says that they have to install a wcm, elv and keys. A diagnostic was done and showed up some errors after putting in the last relay. When will the correct relays be manufactured, as I do not want to go to great expense replacing other parts if it is still a relay issue?.
While driving on a major highway in newington,va, my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo suddenly lost power. I lost acceleration, power steering and power brakes. This is the second time in a month that this vehicle lost power and reacted in this manner. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and two days later was repaired. This vehicle is under a v62 safety recall for a defective fuel pump relay. The repair was a temporary fix until Jeep comes out with a permanent fix. In 2015 this vehicle was recalled under r09 for the same fuel pump relay problem. Dodge durango vehicles have the same problem. Fiat/Chrysler/Jeep corp. Has known about this defective fuel pump relay since 2011 and have yet to come up with a permanent fix. There are thousands of these vehicles on the road and they are all death traps. Please put some pressure on Jeep corp. To fix this deadly defect in their vehicles. Peoples lives are at stake!! the worst part is that car dealerships can resell these used vehicles knowing there is an open safety recall that has not been permanently fixed. The uninformed consumer is buying a vehicle that will kill them. For god's sake do something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Vehicle shuts off after starting, ticking from engine at random speeds, runs rough at random speeds during different times. I took it to my dealer because of this and they said that it sounds like the fuel pump relay is failing and can cause me to crash/stop in the middle of the road suddenly and that theres been a recall for this for almost a year but they cant help me or fix my car because theres no parts. I am now afraid to drive at all.

On November 21, 2019 mopar issued a fuel pump recall for my vehicle. I was having issues with my fuel pump relay and they replaced it with the defective model part because there has not been a remedy to the recall issued. I am experiencing issues with the fuel pump again. A defective fuel pump is a big safety concern. As a consumer I need an update as when an effective remedy will be available, for the safety and resale value of my vehicle. Also, it would be great to know what sort of time frame manufacturers are expected to release a remedy for a recalled part after issuing the notice.

I keep experiencing the same issue -- vehicle won't start after long extended crank and then shuts off. Approximately two years ago the entire fuel pump was replaced, yet the same issue has reoccurred. This time it was diagnosed as a wiring issue to the fuel pump relay. Fiat Chrysler automobiles (fca) refused to reimburse January 2018 and again July 2020. There is currently an open recall (v62 / NHTSA 19v-813 and r09 / NHTSA 14v-115) with no remedy related to the fuel pump that renders the vehicle unsafe to drive. I have requested they replace or refund the vehicle.
