As I was on my home on 2/20/26, I encountered some issues. I made a right turn onto the highway and my vehicle did a little drift but made this weird sound and the front end shook. There were no warning lights or dings that came across the dash. I pulled over into the closest parking lot to see if I could notice anything. I couldn't because I only had the light from a parking lot lamp. So decided to try and make it home which was another 15 minutes away. As I got back on the road and pressed the accelerator, I could here ticking sounds coming from the rear of the vehicle. When I approached the next traffic light and pressed the brakes, the front end shook, making the steering wheel shake, and the rear end drifted left. I made another left and pressed the accelerator. I got up to around 40 phone. The vehicle started pulling to the left and then stabilizing. I turned to my suspension articulation screen. As I was driving and the vehicle still scaring me to the point of a heart-a-stroke, I could see the axles trying to maintain contact with the road. At the same time giving me the feel of a loose steering wheel and a bad suspension. The vehicle continued to shift and shake and feel loose. When you turn into my neighborhood and before my house, there are two deep curves and a lake. I went into the first curve fine until the end of it. (at this time the lake is on my passenger side). As I was coming out of it, the steering wheel feels like its hard to turn or locked. I have to turn left into the second curve. The vehicle would not turn and the rear end felt like it was drifting right. At the edge of the road there is a slight downhill and the lake about 50 ft or so. Luckily, I was able to make the turn before going of the side of the road. Once I made it through the curve, the vehicle did do some shaking, loose steering, shaking, and back end motion until I parked in the yard. Its been parked since then. Thank you for your patience and attention to this matter.

I bought the 4xe trailhawk in 12/2023 at 2,000 miles it started making a clicking noise when I hit a bump & sometimes when I steer the truck to the right, moving forward the said it was the detachable sway bar it fixed the problem temporary for about 2 weeks I didn’t have any sound, moving forward I’ve replaced 3 sway bars, front control arms, brackets, rear suspension, front airbag suspension etc. Just got my truck back from the david Jeep in glen mills still same sounds, the dealership is great. I have reported to Jeep this been going on close to 3yrs now.
Subject: formal complaint and request for escalation – 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe trailhawk – VIN [xxx] good day, I am formally requesting an immediate engineering review and reconsideration of the denial of warranty coverage for my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe trailhawk, VIN #[xxx], currently with approximately 3,012 miles. I believe a serious error and injustice has occurred regarding the diagnosis and classification of this vehicle’s failure as “weather related. ” this conclusion appears arbitrary and unsupported by any documented root cause analysis, engineering findings, or formal repair report. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

On 01/30/26, I delivered my vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership for the third time in connection with safety recall 68c involving the hybrid battery system. The recall addresses a battery defect that carries risk of fire. This is the third occasion on which I have had to leave my vehicle with the dealership because the recall repair has not been successfully completed. During the most recent service appointment, the recall repair procedure failed. I was informed that the hybrid battery would require full replacement and that the vehicle could not be returned to me. The vehicle has remained at the dealership and out of service since that date. As of 02/16/26, I have not been provided with a confirmed estimated time of arrival for the replacement battery. The vehicle remains unusable pending completion of the recall repair. No loaner vehicle was provided when the vehicle was rendered inoperable due to the failed recall repair. I was therefore required to obtain a rental vehicle at my own expense in order to maintain transportation for work and daily obligations. On January 30, I received written authorization from Jeep customer care approving rental reimbursement at $60 per day and explicitly listing specific companies as acceptable providers. Based on that written authorization, I secured a rental vehicle within the approved rate. After incurring rental expenses, I was informed reimbursement would be limited to $25 per day due to the rental company I chose being categorized as a third-party provider, despite being specifically listed in the written approval. It is not feasible to obtain a comparable rental vehicle in my area at $25 per day. The reimbursement discrepancy remains unresolved. The vehicle remains out of service. I am continuing to incur rental expenses and will be responsible for paying the difference out of pocket despite having relied on written authorization.

On January 3, 2026, I test drove a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee (VIN [xxx] ) from a franchised Jeep dealership in lewiston, idaho. After the test drive, the vehicle was placed on a lift and it was discovered that the front driver-side lower ball joint was missing a retaining bolt, allowing separation from the lower control arm. This condition created an immediate risk of suspension failure and loss of control while driving on public roads. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I own a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee trailhawk which we purchased new. On Dec 30, 2025 we were driving home and received a service suspension message on the dash. We took it to our mechanic immediately and they diagnosed it and replaced the left front ride sensor. $380. 88 in Jan 21,2026 the ride height message was back. They removed and replaced the air pump assembly with a new united. To remove & replace-suspension-rear suspension-ride control compressor, r&r $2,026. 31. Feb 26, 2026 took back to lithia dealership . Stability control light was on and traction control light are on check on advise. Changed out module transfer case $1,013. 33. Upon further research found out other Jeep owners had the same problem with the air suspension system. I feel this should be looked into.

I am filing this complaint against Chrysler (stellantis n. V. ) concerning an unresolved factory recall #94b affecting my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This recall has been active since September 2024, and as of October 31, 2025, no manufacturer-provided repair or remedy is available. As a result, my vehicle has now failed the pennsylvania state inspection due to a malfunctioning abs—a defect directly covered by the factory recall. After the inspection failure, I took the vehicle to an authorized Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/ram dealership in pennsylvania, where I was informed that the necessary parts and repair instructions are still unavailable from the manufacturer, and therefore, the recall repair cannot be completed. I have made two prior attempts to resolve this directly with Chrysler’s customer care department: case #91837321 – initial recall complaint case #91655604 – follow-up complaint regarding delay in remedy availability despite these efforts, there has been no progress and no communication from Chrysler outlining when or how the repair will be available. This has left me without a drivable vehicle that cannot legally pass state inspection.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, the contact heard the lower control arm detach from the suspension. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the curb, where the vehicle came to a stop. The contact stated that no air bags deployed in his vehicle. No injury was sustained, and medical attention was not required. There was no police report filed. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 121,000.
Event 1 – abnormal tire wear / stability concern date: January 6, 2026 within approximately 3,000 miles of operation, the vehicle developed severe and abnormal tire tread wear rendering the tires unsafe for continued highway use. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealership. Intermittent vehicle electrical issues also noted. Independent tire inspections indicated the tread pattern was irregular and consistent with possible suspension or front-end control arm failure . Photographic documentation is preserved. Prior written notice of suspension related safety concerns had been delivered to the manufacturer on October 2025. This was later confirmed by an internal report that list the previous buyback history and the current conditions that align perfectly. The report is available for view. Safety concernprimary concerns include: unexpected propulsion loss at highway speed. Total electrical system breakdown causing a red turtle event during motion. Reduced braking and steering control during stall. Non restart condition in traffic. Video captures moment severe abnormal tire wear potentially indicating suspension instability.
Bolt connecting tension link to cradle snapped. We were on the highway at the time (approx 70 mph) and vehicle became difficult to drive. These bolts are known to be susceptible to breaking and Jeep has reportedly upgraded these bolts on newer models.
Vehicle reverse camera will stay on while driving. Leak in gasket. Leak in right mount. Radiator issue undiagnosed. Car is available for inspection at anytime as it is currently inoperable and I do not have the thousands of dollars to fix what is wrong with it while it only has 53k miles and licensed repair shop (not dealership as I was told by tech there to get initial issues fixed outside for a lower cost - all repair and service records also available) has advised faulty parts as listed above. Forgive me, I am not a car person so I do not know what exact things, but can provide. Have been on the phone all morning with fca, manufacturing, and back and forth until this information was received. I have pulled a recall list by VIN and found that some issues with my Jeep are on there; however, apparently my specific VIN is not associated with the recalls listed (can provide report), I am responsible for repairs. Only warning lamp I have received was for a "cylinder 1 misfire" that was diagnosed at Jeep of fontana in CA, where I was told to take it elsewhere. Now, after having a tuneup last week, I started my Jeep on Sunday and it began smoking. Was told at local shop, mountain view tire in rialto/fontana, they cannot fix. Please assist!.
I taken my vehicle to the dealership three times in less than one year, and my recall have not been fixed. An unexpected loss of propulsion can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning is what the recall is saying. This vehicle is not safe to drive, yet the dealership won't provide me another vehicle, nor buying it back. The recall number is 73c. My hybrid electrical system light comes on and my vehicle cuts off by itself when driving. Vehicle can catch fire at any moment due to this recall not being fixed.
The ptu (transfer case) is not working. It started as more of a transmission issue. I would be driving at times and my transmission would not shift up. I had to manually shift my car to get it into gear. Now, it lead to knocking noises when I turn my steering wheel.
Assessment of ongoing mechanical & safety issues – 2023 Jeep grand wagoneer to whom it may concern, I am providing a clear, factual assessment of the ongoing issues with my 2023 Jeep grand wagoneer, which I purchased for $108,000 and have owned for less than two years. During this time, I have experienced twelve separate mechanical and functional failures, several of which have rendered the vehicle undriveable for prolonged periods. Below is a summary of the major issues that continue to impact the reliability, safety, and usability of this vehicle. 1. Seat / massage mechanism defect (ongoing for months) a malfunction in the seat massage system has created a large, hard protrusion in the driver’s seat. This defect has resulted in significant back pain, requiring both urgent care and follow-up medical evaluation. I have now been diagnosed with sciatica, which my physician has indicated is likely related to prolonged pressure and improper spinal support caused by the seat malfunction. Two dealerships have confirmed the issue and ordered the replacement part months ago, yet the part delivery has been repeatedly delayed, most recently to January 6, 2026. This has affected my ability to safely and comfortably operate the vehicle, and has now escalated into a documented medical issue. 2. Suspension noise during auto-leveling the vehicle’s air suspension system produces extremely loud noises during auto-adjustments. This raises concerns regarding the safety and structural integrity of the suspension system. 3. Window hinge failure a window hinge has prematurely failed, requiring service intervention. This is not consistent with typical wear for a vehicle less than two years old. 4. Cruise control malfunction the cruise control system intermittently ceases functioning while driving. The only way to restore it is to turn the vehicle off and restart it, which presents a safety concern when traveling at highway speeds. This points to a possible electrical or.
Subject: safety complaint – 2022 Jeep grand wagoneer – multiple safety-critical failures and warranty concerns. I am the owner of a 2022 Jeep grand wagoneer (purchase price $114,000 usd), well maintained and currently with 41,000 miles. Despite careful use, it has developed multiple recurring electrical and mechanical failures that present serious safety risks: •parking and side sensors fail, making obstacle and blind-spot detection unreliable. •rear-view camera often shows a solid blue screen in reverse, leaving no rear visibility. •main display flickers, freezes, or shuts off; infotainment reboots while driving, disabling controls. •entire electronic system resets mid-drive, affecting safety features. •power liftgate fails to open. •air suspension changes height on its own, affecting handling and stability. While the basic 36,000-mile warranty has expired, the vehicle still has a 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Many of these failures involve safety-critical systems that should be addressed without cost to the owner. I recently brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealer, who charged $1,399 usd just for diagnostics instead of addressing them under warranty or goodwill. These issues are widely reported by other 2022 grand wagoneer owners, suggesting systemic defects. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate promptly, require Jeep/stellantis to issue recalls where necessary, provide a permanent fix, and ensure dealers address safety-related defects regardless of basic warranty expiration.
While turning lnto my driveway, the passenger rear spring fell off and the car tilted to the passenger side.
I was driving pulled in to driveway heard a loud bang and the back of the car dropped and hear scraping. The rear passenger coil spring had fallen out with the upper rubber isolator attached. Called Jeep they said the recall had been done in 6 23 and was out of the 2 year repair warranty. I don't see how the recall was done when all the numbers on the coil spring , isolator were still original parts?.
Upper passenger suspension coil spring isolator came unattached and caused coil spring to fall out.
Lower passenger coil spring isolator loose causing spring and upper isolator to fall out while driving dealership stated recall was done 6/23 and was out of warranty for that recall. But everything in that suspension is oem with the old part numbers not the ones in the recall. .
I bought this Jeep new in 2023 and it started making this noise when it had 7000 miles on it. If was normal operational noise, why didn't it have it when it was new? many owners on Jeep forums (jeepgarage, wljeepforum, Jeepforum, wranglerforum) report: rattle starts light and worsens with heat soak. The company often states it is a “normal operational noise. ”some report replacement of the entire sway bar disconnect actuator assembly under warranty resolving the noise temporarily or permanently but there is no standardized procedure. After an hour drive, the loud banging noise is huge distraction while driving. I have driven for many years and have never heard anything such as this rattle trap, especially for upward of $80,000, while fearing that it may leave the road at anytime. Any suggestions would be helpful. The worst vehicle I have ever driven and I am 74 years old,.
I am writing to you regarding a persistent creaking noise in the front end of my vehicle when turning the wheel. I have brought the car in twice already for this issue, but the problem has not been identified or resolved. The vehicle is scheduled to come in again for the same issue. While I have been told it is not a safety concern, I am troubled that the source of the noise remains unknown. Without identifying the root cause, I am uncertain how it can be definitively determined that there is no safety risk. I would appreciate it if you could ensure a thorough investigation is conducted to pinpoint and resolve this creaking noise. But, it does not do it when it is warm out. It started around 25,000 miles and we had to wait until it was cooler outside when they could get it back in and really look at it without the outside tempurature affecting the noise.
The hybrid battery had the potential to catch fire and it was recalled for a software update, the 95b update. After this software update was completed, the vehicle would completely shut down, regardless of being parked or while driving. The dealership deemed the vehicle "unsafe to drive" and has provided a loaner until they can correct the problem. In addition to this, the front suspension has been worked on many times, approximately 5-6 times to remedy a clinking noise when turning at full turn. Currently, they have not been able to remedy this problem. The manufacturer has refused to do a buy back on the vehicle, yet also refuses to give the vehicle back due to, in their words; "it is unsafe to drive".
Driving in [xxx] in the hov lanes on the evening of 22 June, the car traveled over an uneven section of the road. Heard a noise and felt the car go over a small bump. Car ride felt slightly different and continued on to home. Next day, looked at cat and the rear end was sitting uneven. Right rear lower than left rear. Looked under the rear of the car and saw the right rear coil spring was not there. The left rear spring is still in place. Prior to this, there was no problem with the ride or suspension of the car. There are no warning lights on the dash currently or prior to the spring falling off the car. I am not driving the car to to what I consider an unsafe condition. I am making an appointment at the dealer to get the problem resolved. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
While driving at approximately 20 - 35 mph, the passenger side rear suspension coil spring fell off. When that happened, the vehicle sank on that side (rear, right side) and the coil spring and spring pad components projected outwards with force towards the road side. No dash lights were activated but, vehicle was exhibiting an unstable (bouncy) driving condition. The vehicle was towed to authorized service center for repairs and a claim was initiated with the manufacturer out of abundance of caution since the event has a resemblance to NHTSA recall no. 23v-413 (Jun, 2023) and safety recall notice 64a. Said recall appears on the manufacturer's website as completed for this vehicle.
In February 2025, my Jeep would flash a “service hybrid system” code that would last about 3-5 seconds and disappear. This happened about 4-5 times over the next few months, code would not stay up and vehicle seemed unaffected. On June 10, I was driving with son on a highway about 60 mph when my car completely shut off, no power to engine, no power steering- absolutely nothing. We experienced a very aggressive jerk when this happened and I limped the vehicle off to the shoulder- we live in a remote area and I had no cell service. I was able to restart my car and drove it in “e-save” mode home. The next day, I drove my car again and had my son and daughter in the vehicle and the same exact thing happened. I was driving about 55mph around a corner with a large semi coming at me in the oncoming lane and my vehicle shut off and lost power and power steering. I was terrified that I would veer into that truck and there was not a shoulder readily available. We had to yet again limp the vehicle a few yards around the corner to pull off and I did not have service. So I had to walk to call my husband to pick my children up. The car has been at the dealership since then and told there is a digital crash code showing with no eta on a fix. Stellantis has denied a buyback yet my car has 26,000 miles on it and is under warranty with no eta on fix. Vehicle is unsafe to drive and unfixable for 60 days now.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that upon pulling into the driveway at 5 mph, there was an abnormal snapping sound coming from the vehicle. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was discovered that the rear cradle bolts attached to the suspension had failed. The contact stated that the failure caused damages the driveshaft, muffler, air bags, air suspension, and several other parts on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but was offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 154,000.

Purchased used 22 gc summit reserve v8 and within hours of leaving dealer I knew something was very wrong with the front suspension. Fast forward to used car dealership pointing fingers at Jeep for not fixing issues not disclosed to me before the sale and Jeep claiming shady dealer practices we now know it’s the rack and pinion bar and components. 7 grand out of pocket after a day of ownership is not happening. My VIN is one of few not showing up for the recall z18/NHTSA 22v-154. It’s a perfect description of the recall and my Jeep is the correct year make and model. The Jeep is at dealer currently and the price keeps changing which tells me someone isn’t telling the truth and they’re covering something else up. I just want this resolved as I paid mostly cash for this truck and haven’t gotten to drive it for more than a couple hours to the dealership.
Incident date: [xxx] vehicle: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe | VIN [xxx] | mileage = 28,853 while driving 20 mph on a paved suburban road in danville, CA, the driver-side rear lower control arm suddenly fractured without warning. The wheel shifted, and I was barely able to stop safely. Had this occurred at highway speeds, a loss of control—and possible crash—was likely. The Jeep was towed to the selling dealer. After inspection, the service department blamed “witness marks” (small surface nicks) and told me to file an insurance claim, stating it was not a warranty issue. The vehicle has never been in a collision and is driven only on paved roads. A routine dealer service in Dec 2024 reported no suspension concerns. Photos attached show: clean break of the control arm; minor nicks cited as impact evidence; street on which the vehicle was being driven when the control arm failed; the Jeep is marketed as off-road capable. A control arm that fails on a county road represents a serious safety defect for all owners. I request NHTSA investigation and manufacturer action. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Vehicle drives very rough and banging or knocking noise when going over bumps.
Lower control bushings and main battery bushings wearing causing noise yes took vehicle to Jeep dealership Jeep dealership did a diagnostic and checks the lower bushings warning for stop/start service and started this month.
Vehicle code: c1562-98 air pump control - air suspension compressor is overheating or there's a problem with the control system, leading to issues with adjusting the vehicle's height. With further inspection he found a leak in the air bag fittings. Vehicle power control module has caused vehicle to shutoff while driving on the highway. Air suspension and electrical issues continued after 60 days of attempted repairs.
Air suspension warning needs to be replaced.
Noise possibly coming from the transfer case shifting into different gears. Four wheels lowe is not working, end movement and impact when accelerating and when slowing down. Sudden movements when turning right.
