Jeep Liberty owners have reported 2 problems related to other fuel system fuel gauge (under the other fuel system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Jeep Liberty based on all problems reported for the Liberty.
An ongoing problem with the fuel gauge is that whenever I fill up I can drive about 20 miles (more or less) and then all of a sudden the engine light and gas light come on and the fuel gauge goes all the way to empty. Which can be pretty scary the first time you see it happen and you're going 75 mph on the interstate. The second problem is the suspension. Any time I turn the steering wheel it creaks. Riding over even barely bumpy roads causes my car to creak and groan. It shakes horribly when driving between 50-55 or even idling but gets better when I take my foot off the gas, apply the brakes, or go at higher speeds.
