1 Radiator problem of the 2007 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 08/28/2019

Since the day I got the vehicle I have had nothing but problems it shut off while driving the steering wheel would lock up and all lights on dash would light up. Turn the key off wait a minute and it would start back up. Ground wire issue, the driver window stopped working 2x electrical problem. The power side mirror doesnt work it. While driving switches between 2 and 4 wheel drive on its own. The 4 wheel drive doesnt work. Transfer case, linkage cable broken. The part time light stay flashing or lite up on the dash the drive shalf broke and lower ball joint broke while driving. While driving the loss of traction lights up the dash. The radiator fan stopped working, water pump broken. The ac compressor and clutch went out while driving. If I leave the climate knobs turn on while vehicle not in use it drains the battery, ( the form wouldn't allow me to click any more boxes) I've had it towed, I believe this was a lemon and shouldn't of even been sold.

4 Radiator problem of the 2004 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 10/21/2016

Important this is translated from spanish to english in google translator. My reason for my complaint is, to help me with the problem I have, really do not know if this merchant exists or is something ghost. I have tried to communicate with the seller and with the local dealer but it is impossible no answer, as the place is far to go, I have not yet had the opportunity to go to the local. For this reason I think I am a victim of fraud. I have also tried to communicate with them using barios phone number, but it is impossible not answer. Saturday 22 October 2016 I was cleaning the SUV when I realize that the passenger seat lacks a turnillo and safety belts of defects are removed. I quickly call the seller but not answered. That same day I informed my mechanic avia come to my house, told my SUV has a water leak and burned in the muffler, when my check mechanic tells me is not water is oil, again I contact the seller and I sent him a text message and does not answer me, my mechanic informs me, the trader can not sell tire truck with bad quality, my SUV the tire are worn, not really sap that information. Until today I call and leave a text message to the seller but he does not answer when I call the merchant I end the call. For this reason I think I am a victim of fraud. Please ask for help because now I have no car and not think it's sure I use the SUV in these conditions, another thing I want to add on the water leak, the reality is that the radiator is broken, the seller lied to me deceived me, the me I swindled. That day when I got home it was night, I when I get home check the part of the front of the SUV, the part where the engine is, the water reservoir had no water, for me that was strange and contact the seller, I told the salesman that the water reservoir had no water, the seller told me that was normal.

5 Radiator problem of the 2010 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 04/15/2016

2010 Jeep Liberty spontaneously caught on fire and exploded on Friday April 15, 2016. My stepdad and I were out and we stopped and picked up a pizza on the way home and everything was just fine the whole drive home, no smell, no driving issues, no smoke, no overheating dings, no funky sounds. We pulled into the driveway to park and turned off the car, my stepdad got out first, and when I opened my door I said ¿ooh it smells like fall!¿ (I thought the neighbors were having a bonfire or something. ) then I saw it and told him ¿the car is smoking!¿ and I got out of the car and got away from it. He tried to open the hood thinking it was a radiator or something but it was so hot it burned his fingers and then he lifted it a bit with a screwdriver as we went to get the fire extinguisher and we saw the fire start shooting out of the sides. It was so hot and so fast. I screamed at him to get him away from it because I knew it was going to explode, and as soon as he was a bit away from it, the hood did explode up and then it started really shooting flames out and and that¿s when I called 911. There were several more explosions while we waited on the firefighters. It was totally engulfed in flames in 5 minutes. There is nothing left but a shell, and it was one layer from burning our house down. If we were in it another 60 seconds, we¿d have taken that first explosion to the faces. We could have died and we almost lost our house, our barn and another car inside the barn. I¿m furious. Other people could die.

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. While driving at 10 mph, the low coolant and engine warning indicators illuminated. The contact stopped and checked the failure and discovered that the coolant reservoir was empty. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the radiator was leaking. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. 8 Radiator problem of the 2010 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 12/30/2013

During production of most Jeep models using the jr engines, there was an issue in the cooling system causing blockage of the heater core, radiator, engine block, thermostat, and/or water pump. The issue is well known by Jeep owners from mainly 2010-2012 Jeeps, but Chrysler has refused to admit and fix the issue. The cause of the issue typically has been linked to either a) casting sand used in the production of the motor, or b) chemicals in the coolant developing a sand-like sludge. My experience has been two failed heater cores within 9 months of each other. The first incident occurred on 25dec2013 and was repaired 30dec2013 at 68,345 miles. On a trip away from home it failed again on 11sep2014 at 85,157 miles. On the most recent occurrence, when the heater core clogged and blew, the system blew hot steam into the cabin and coolant (around a temperature of 200*f) poured onto the passengers side floorboard. Luckily I did not have the heat vents turned to me or had a passenger at the time because I or my passenger would have likely been injured. The safety issued called into question due to the issue are a) burns resulting from failure of heater core, b) becoming stranded with no heat due to heater core or radiator failure, c) becoming stranded because of engine failure due to overheating caused by clogged cooling system.

9 Radiator problem of the 2002 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 06/16/2013

My 2002 Jeep Liberty sport had to have the radiator replaced2 years ago (2011) due to sludge in the system, which was fine because it was already almost 10 years old. Recently (June 2013) I smelled coolant and by the time I got it to the mechanic, it had overheated just once, from the water pump not working. So the mechanic replaced the water pump, and after that it never worked the same. The engine was rough, didn't have a smooth idle, and the next day, the "check engine" light came on. I had a friend check it out on a weekend when the light stayed on and started flashing, and the engine felt/sounded even rougher. There were multiple error signals, later diagnosed by the mechanic that the head gasket was cracked/blown, there ware coolant fumes from the engine, and 3 of the cylinders were "warped". Estimated repair cost: $2000-3000 and a week's worth of labor. . . Providing they didn't find other damage when they got the engine out. Reading other reports make me disappointed with Chrysler and confident that I'm not going to have mine repaired nor buy a new Jeep (though I had previously loved! my Jeep).
