Engine Belts And Pulleys Problems of Jeep Renegade

Have had vehicle since 2018. For 2 years, I have had 3 cylinder misfires (with the last one about to happen at any moment) and my vehicle has stalled while driving (once on the freeway) about 8 times. I had to pull over each time to a complete stop. The vehicle stating "vehicle cannot change gears until stopped. " once I turned off the engine, it takes about five minutes to restart the engine. The cylinder misfires always begin with aggressive jerking while vehicle is in motion. Lasting a few months, leading to aggressive shaking once misfired. On occasion, while vehicle is stopped, seat belt will also not buckle and in the last two years seat belt has also come unbuckled twice while vehicle is in motion.

Cars loses power while driving, oil pressure and fuel pressure lights com on when stopped in park. Excessive oil consumption, seat belt sensor malfunction , this has happened 4 times, dealership wont return calls to schedule service either. Last occurrence was 8/21/2020 @ 33,150 miles.

For the last year on and off the warning lights illuminate( service air bags, parking brake, electronic throttle cable, check engine light, power steering light), etc. Last week we were driving with the kids, went to park, got back into the vehicle, started it and all the lights started going off. My husband turned the key to off, pulled it out, and the car kept running. We brought it into the dealer only to have them replace the seatbelt. We got the car back and it happened again today. We were driving, all the lights kept going off, including the power steering light which turns off the power steering so we pulled into a gas station only to turn the key to the off position, pulled the key out and the car kept running. We called the dealer and brought it back in to be serviced. The car is dangerously unsafe!.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds they would hear a rattling and knocking noise coming from underneath the front passenger seat. The vehicle's rear middle seat belt failed to latch and lock into the buckel. The rear driver side seat belt failed to retract. The vehicle's oil change/ check engine light remained illuminated despite recently having the motor changed, therefore oil levels being met. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened a case regarding an issue. The approximate failure mileage was 11. Gl.

My car begin sputtering, stalling when I pressed on the gas as if it was not getting enough gas, my indicator lights on the panel of the car would just start to go crazy causing the seatbelt sign to begin to ding and ding and ding, even though I had my seat belt on. I took the car to be looked at and was told that there is a recall on the vehicle that I should look up. I did and there were three recalls involving my vehicle, two of which related directly to the problems I was having. I contacted Chrysler who said my VIN number was not included in the recall. I asked how that is possible when exactly what I am experiencing is exactly what they listed. She told me to take the car back to the dealership have them check it out and if they determined that this was the problem then they would not to call and tell them that. I immediately contacted the dealer and spoke with service who explained why should they have to contact Chrysler when it's not their problem. I said sir, I am only following instructions. He then went on to explain to me that well they could look at the car but it would cost me $230 to do a diagnostic. I asked why I would have to for that and he said "he has to pay his people". I made an appoint and took the car. When they called they worded everything in a manner that would remove me from the recall, however they then put "fuel injection" at the bottom. I inquired about this and was told that I am supposed to get my fuel injection cleaned 2 per year. I informed them I never heard of such a thing. He also told me it would close to $500 to get my seatbelf fixed "that is not even broken" and never did anything about the indicator lights. I was told that they needed to put my car "back together" which I also did not understand because I thought a diagnostic did not require that. Now my engine light is also on and nobody will return my calls.

In addition, there was white smoke coming from the engine, which caused the vehicle to stall. A police report was filed. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained chest injuries and whiplash that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the seat belt needed to be replaced. 2015 Jeep Renegade: vehicle shifts hard; like a canon. Took vehicle in to dealer and they said it just needed an update. Problem still not fixed. Vehicle makes a ringing sound like a phone when at highway speeds of 65 miles per hour. Vehicle rattles a lot especially in the speaker areas and also the driver side seatbelt area. When I took it in to the dealer to have them figure out the rattles they said that they could not find it. The seats do not heat up well. When it is turned on high, it feels like it is on the low setting still. When the steering when is being turned at any speed it makes a creaking sound.
