The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while accelerating from a red light, the vehicle suddenly shut off and stalled in the middle of the intersection. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic shop, where the contact suffered a heat-related stroke due to the high temperature. The vehicle was subsequently transferred to a licensed dealer, where technicians diagnosed a failure within the engine control module (ecm/pcm), commonly referred to as the vehicle's "brain.
