When taking my daughter to school, the brake pedal went to the floor. I got out and found brake fluid leaking. Closer inspection found that the driver side brake fluid hose has been rubbing against the tire - the hose was worn flat and thru on one side. I have not completed any modifications to the tires - I have the same size tires that came with the Jeep originally. The other recall for the fendor rub had already been taken care of.

I have had my brake lines, and calipers replaced twice due to the front tires rubbing the brake lines when tires are turned to max capacity. The brake lines wear though and leak fluid onto calipers, pads, rotors, etc. Causing them damage. My tires are the stock size and no modifications have been done besides replacing tires due to normal wear and tear, but again, tires are stock size. I have spent over $1200 due to this issue.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic shop, who determined that the cause of the problem was due to rust on the brake line. There were no prior warnings of failure.
