The abs computer brake module is bad in my Jeep. It needs a replacement. Confirmed by Chrysler Jeep dealership. However, Chrysler does not offer a replacement module. Abs does not work on my vehicle. This is a huge safety issue and is common problem among this year Jeep. Chrysler shouldn’t be allowed to not have a replacement oem abs module. Huge safety risk and lawsuit.

- 2015 Jeep Wrangler with only 46k miles - dealership has confirmed that the abs module is out on the break system. - when module suddenly went out, Jeep went into "limp" mode in heavy houston traffic. - warning lamps: abs system, sway bar, check engine, and traction control all lit up suddenly. - Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep has a national backlog of the abs module that apparently has not delivered new products for months or years. - vehicle hard breaks, will not go faster than about 15mph, and cannot be used in current state as it is unsafe to drive. - vehicle is stranded 1 hr from my home, cannot be driven and will not be able to be driven for the foreseeable future. - unconscionable that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep is not making this part thereby rendering my vehicle absolutely useless.

The abs and traction control warning lights came on. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failed abs control module, part number 68259556ad. The vehicle is now considered unsafe to drive, and I am on a waiting list for a replacement part with no estimated time of arrival, and several others have been on this waiting list for two years. Replacement part can not be found.
Abs and traction control lights are on. Sometimes emergency brake light comes on causing it to go into “limp mode”. This is dangerous for me bc this is my mail Jeep. I’m driving on roads where the speed limits are sometimes posted at 55mph. Mechanic replaced the rear wheel sensors because the computer indicated that was the problem. Did not fix the problem. The abs module has to be replaced and they’re on back order. Forums online have many different people stating they’re having the same problem with Jeep. Jeep parts department stating it could be a year or more before the part comes in and is available.

My 2016 Jeep Wrangler is displaying warning lights (brake, abs, traction control) on the dashboard. I took it to my Jeep dealership where they diagnosed the issue as an inoperative abs module part number 68259556ad. They placed it on order but it was back ordered with no available delivery date. My Jeep is now not able to be driven.

Engine surge while braking. New 2025 Jeep Wrangler rubicon with 450 miles. V-6 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. No modifications. Autonomous braking. Came to a traffic circle with yield sign. Slowed by braking for vehicle on right to enter traffic circle. The engine suddenly surged, began bucking as I depressed the brake further, and entered the traffic circle, just barely missing the vehicle to the right. One wheel (not sure which) began skidding as if the abs had come one. I pulled over, shut the Jeep down and restarted. Problem did not recur. I tested pushing the brake while using the accelerator and the brake easily held the vehicle in stop. I am certain I did not "accidentally step on both the accelerator and brake at the same time. " an hour later I took the vehicle into the service department of the local Jeep dealer. They did not run a diagnostic but said that there were various possible caused but had not seen it on Jeeps they had serviced. I looked on the various Jeep chatrooms on line and discovered that many people had had the identical problem over the last 5 years. Some say they reported it to NHTSA. This is likely a software or computer issue and is extremely dangerous. It needs to be addressed by the manufacturer it was only by sheer luck I did not hit the right-of-way vehicle thank you for your interest.
Vehicle went in for repair of no power boost to brakes. Dealership replaced brake booster, no change. Dealership replaced vacuum pump, fixed issue. After 64 miles vacuum pump failed, no power brakes. Dealership replaced vacuum pump 2nd time said part was faulty from parts supplier. Problem was resolved. Around 100 miles later vacuum pump has failed for a 3rd time. Awaiting resolution.

Was on [xxx] traveling 40 mph. Traffic came to a sudden stop, when I hit brakes the abs never kicked in and I slid into car in front of me. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal became inoperable, and the brakes locked up without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the brake caliper had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the mechanic, where it was later diagnosed with a failed brake hose, but the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact ordered the parts for the repair from the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 114,000.

Abs module is bad and has been on backorder for well over a year now.
The abs modular has went out in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler and [being that there is a nation wide backorder I am assuming this is a known problem by Jeep.
On August 12, 2025, the brakes on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler failed and resulted in a low speed collision. Brakes were being applied to stop for a traffic light and when I realized the vehicle was not stopping I pushed pedal to floor twice to try and stop vehicle. After the accident the vehicle was towed to tate Jeep dealership who could not duplicate the incident or identify why pressure in brake line dropped. Air bags did not deploy.

Dear NHTSA safety team, I’m writing to formally report a serious and widespread safety issue affecting Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The problem centers on the failure of the abs module, which triggers diagnostic code c2200. This defect disables critical safety systems including abs and traction control, and causes the vehicle to shake violently—often mistaken for warped rotors. Jeep has discontinued production of the replacement abs module, and the part has been on backorder for years. Today alone, my dealership received three separate calls from owners experiencing the same issue. This is clearly not an isolated incident. The consequences of this failure include: - loss of abs and traction control functionality - unstable braking behavior - increased risk of collision - no available replacement part from the manufacturer this poses a clear and present danger to drivers, passengers, and others on the road. I urge NHTSA to investigate this defect and compel Jeep to issue a recall or provide a viable solution. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, [xxx] [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Abs light, stability control light and brake light on instrument cluster is illuminated. Took vehicle to dealership. They stated that the abs module is faulty and needs to be replaced. The person at the dealership said that he could not say whether or not the vehicle is safe to drive. Did a little research and found that this part has failed on many vehicles, and there are over 500 of this item backordered across the country. The dealership has no idea when to expect replacement part.
Jeep Wrangler unlimited abs, brake, & traction control warning lights all came on at once while driving. Once Jeep stopped vehicle went into limp mode limiting power and mph to less than 30 mph. Which is a huge safety problem when all the roads to and from out house are 45 mph. Abs module is bad per the dealer. Vehicle is vor in the system, and undriveable. No estimate when a new part will arrive.
I was traveling at 80mph on an interstate in the fast lane. There were only two lanes. Road was straight with a slight incline. Temperature was 98 degrees. I had been traveling for 10 hours that day. I hear the same bing chime the Jeep makes when it switches from electric to hybrid mode. I was already in hybrid mode and I experienced a lost of power. My vehicle started to coast which it never does because the regenerative breaks always slow me down. I noticed a message on my display but I could not read it as I used the momentum I had to reach the shoulder of the slow lane and coast to a stop. I put the car in park. The message was gone. A few seconds after putting the vehicle in park, it restarted and behaved normally again. This happened one day after being serviced at the dealer. I have all recalls completed including one that covers this issue. I took the Jeep in to be checked and they were unable to read codes or detect any issues.
On July 27, 2025 the brake, abs, and traction control lights lit up on my dash panel. The problem is a c2200 code which means the abs module has gone bad. There has been a back-order of this part for several years now with no indication of when or if this module will ever be made available again.
The front right brake line is collapsed can't find a replacement.
Abs control module failure. According to multiple Jeep dealers, this part has been on back order "for a very long time. " I am unable to source a new part to repair my vehicle. Jeep should be able to provide replacement parts for critical safety items.

The abs module has an internal failure. The part is in back order.
I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler and the brake hose went on the driver front side. Mopar product id is 68307451ah. I have called numerous dealerships and mopar themselves. They informed me this hose is on backorder for over 841 Jeeps, and they are unable to get this across the us. Knowing how many Jeeps are needing this hose, is it possible to get a recall on it due to the fact it is imperative to fix right away? I've been trying to find a replacement or an alternate but no luck. This is my only mode of transportation and don't want to keep driving my Jeep as it continues to veer to the right due to the faulty hose I'm experiencing.
On [xxx] while driving my 2018 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport (VIN: [xxx] ), the braking system failed without warning while I was approaching a stop sign on a residential road. I pressed the brake pedal and felt extreme resistance and grinding, followed by a near-total lack of braking power. I was forced to abruptly swerve into an open driveway to avoid a collision. This sudden malfunction put my life and the safety of others at serious risk, especially had it occurred on a highway or near pedestrian traffic. The affected component appears to be part of the braking system—likely the master cylinder, brake booster, or brake line integrity—but a full diagnosis is pending inspection. There were no warning lights or messages displayed on the dashboard at any time prior to or during the failure. The vehicle gave no indication that a malfunction was imminent. Immediately after the incident, I parked the vehicle and did not attempt to drive it again. As of now, the issue has not yet been formally confirmed by a dealer, but I am in the process of getting it inspected by a certified independent mechanic, and I am willing to make the vehicle and its components available for inspection upon request. I also plan to provide documentation once the evaluation is complete. I only recently purchased this Jeep from carvana a few months ago, and it is extremely concerning that such a critical failure could occur so soon. The vehicle has two completed recalls related to steering and rear windows, but none that address braking—making this unexpected failure even more alarming. I believe this could indicate a larger pattern or potential defect that has not yet been officially acknowledged or addressed. This event was dangerous and could have resulted in a serious accident. I am requesting that this complaint be formally investigated, and I am open to cooperating fully with NHTSA, Chrysler, or any affiliated parties in reviewing the failure and addressing issue. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia).

I have contacted Jeep and I have a case #[xxx] the past 3 times they were put on for free under part warranty, and I did receive a courtesy vehicle to drive. . . I don't want to continue to do this every year or two information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The front left (drivers side) caliper stuck and the the brake line needs replaced. The caliper sticking was causing extreme heat that could have caused a fire as well as brake failure. The dealership confirmed that the parts need replaced. No warning messages were ever appear. Additionally, the left brake line from mopar is not availalbe and there are almost a 1000 on back order. The Jeep is not drivable and no parts available for the foreseeable future to fix the problem.

The Jeeps abs module is having an error code c2200 that is present in many Jeeps and the manufacturer is unable to repair or emit a recall for this issue. Jeep went into limp mode on the rode and cannot be driven.
Abs module quit working, abs, brake, traction control warning lights came on. I then had no speedometer and transmission would not shift. Attempting to order a replacement part and have been told by every part dealer including mopar themselves that the abs module is unavailable with no estimated date for replenishment and has been for over a year.
Have no abs. The light for the abs stays on. Unable to get a part because it is under an "engineer review". The failed part is the hydraulic control unit. My safety and the safety of others are at risk due to no having anti lock brakes in south florida where the roads on constantly wet. This is clearly a known problem.
Abs module is faulty and cannot be replaced. Vehicle brakes spongy and unresponsive. Plastic oil module piece has been replaced several times, but less impacting than abs module.
The anti lock brake module is not signaling correctly, causing the car to lose power for a second every few minutes, braking is more difficult, and there is no traction on slippery surfaces. The cruise control also is not working, and the brake, abs and traction warning lights flash every few minutes while operating. It was in the shop for a month waiting on the new module, and it is back ordered with no estimated date for shipping. My vehicle is under warranty and I’m not able to go outside the terms to get it fixed, and mopar is not making any effort to provide a solution. The dealership even said they had another that had been sitting in their shop for over a year with the same problem. The car is drivable but only until the system goes completely, which will be when it goes into emergency limp mode at a random time while driving, so driving it means taking on that risk.
Abs module is bad. I have been trying to get one for close to 2 years. Jeep tells me they are still on back order and not able to get one.
Abs failing. Loss of traction control & possible brake failure. Vehicle manufacturer failing to provide parts.

Abs, traction control, & brake warning lights have come on due to issues with the abs sensors. Repairs unavailable due to unavailability of parts.
My Wrangler's brakes locked up repeatedly and I took it to the dealer. They said that it needs a new abs module but that part is not made anymore. This is a safety issue and I now have a car that I can't sell, can't fix, and can't drive. My wife almost got into an accident.

Shortly after starting the vehicle and entering roadway, the power steering failed and shortly following an error came on regarding the abs system. I was able to pull the vehicle over safely, restart and the issue seemed resolved in that use. Next day, shortly after starting vehicle, same errors occurred, but self corrected. The day after that, shortly after starting the vehicle, all systems on the front panel cycled through several error codes, when attempting to shut the vehicle off to restart it, the vehicle would not shut off. Using the standard transmission, I was able to create a stall situation, but the vehicle's electrical would not shut off. After removing the key fab, the electrical system kept activating power systems, even turning on the windshield wipers when the control was in the off position. After 20 minutes and several attempts I was finally able to get the system to completely shut off.
