The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the climate control only functioned for the passenger side of the vehicle. The failure occurred without warning. Imperial Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (10 uxbridge rd, mendon, MA) diagnosed that the heater core was clogged and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle did not have any recalls; however, if the contact paid to have the vehicle repaired and a recall got issued, the contact would be reimbursed. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

The dealer states that I have problem with my heating and cooling system. When the air conditioner,or the defroster is in use,a noise that would sound like a drop of water dropping precisely every 4 to 5 seconds,stereos,and road noise do not hide it. The affect is like being in a torture chamber. It littery drives you crazy.

Failure Date: 05/17/1997

When turning defroster on, there would be a popping sound. Have taken vehicle to dealer & mechanic said lever had separated that caused defroster not to work. It needed replacing. This was done at least 6 different times.

There is a malfunction in the heater core that causes windows to fog up when engine is heated. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
