I was in a collision that was my fault, I rear ended a Mini van hit a concrete/stone/ dirt barrier and my air bags did not deploy.

We were traveling 64 mph on interstate 75 south (it was raining hard), when we were hit from behind at 75-78 miles per hour by an f150 truck. The airbag light has came on. Kia marked it as bad and I had a second diagnostic done at a shop I have been going to for over 6 years. It came back that there is a manufacture issue. Something I have no control of messing up. I have never been in a car accident so that has nothing to do with it. It's been on for 1 month now. My warranty expired and now kia won't fix it. They warned me that if in a car accident my airbags will not deploy. Apparently there are many people online complaining about this issue. I have children I commute with everyday and I think kia should have a recall on this to avoid lawsuit in the future. What happened to the customer is right and providing excellent service to have customers come back? I regret buying a kia.

Kia sent a notice that they are extending the warranty for the front airbag clock spring assembly. My airbag light is staying illuminated so I took it into the dealer for a diagnostic. The dealer informed me that the issue is not the clock spring assembly its the occupant classification mat. This means that if I am in a crash my front airbag will not deploy and I am risking the life of my passenger. Why is this issue not included with the notice that they sent since it also involves the airbag and the airbag sensor?.

My airbag light is on and according to the kia dealership there is a malfunction that needs to be repaired. They told me that my car went our of warranty in early June 2015 and that I have to pay for this repair(approx $500. 00). This strikes me as wrong since there has never been an accident with my vehicle and thus the airbag has never deployed. How can they claim that my airbag is broken since it has never been used/activated? how can it not be the manufacturer"s/dealer responsibility to correct the defect. Went out from work to start my car and noticed the airbag light would not go out. I shut the car off and restarted to see if it would go out. It would not. The very next day, I went to open the front door on the passenger side to put something in the car. The handle fell off in my hand. The passenger side door is hardly used as I am the only occupant of the car. It had not been hit or damaged, the cover just broke off. I took the vehicle in to the kia dealer. The advised me that I would have to leave the vehicle, pay $85 for a diagnostic test so they could see why the light would not go out. They said it was not covered under warranty that the warranty for it ran out at 60k miles. Same with the handle. I have to pay over $40 just for them to replace the handle's cover. They said once they found out why the airbag light was on, if I paid to have it repaired that they will waive the diagnostic fee. So I have to rent a vehicle out of pocket for no telling how long, and pay for what ever is wrong with the airbag light. They claim that it will not deploy if I go into an accident. I've read several other complaints about the 2012 kia sorrento airbag not deploying. Another law suit in the making just like the gas mileage one they just were sued for.

My vehicle was traveling at about 50 miles and hour and a car turned in front of me and I tee boned him. My car went up onto the 2 front wheels and the skidded into a telephone pole at about 30 miles an hour. My car is totaled. My concern is that the air bags never deployed during either impact and I think they should have. I have pictures to show the condition of the car.

This kia was rented from enterprise due to my car being in the shop. I found steering problems with this car as with the braking system already which I found odd as this is supposedly a brand new vehicle. Not only that it races intermittently sometimes more than 10 miles or so & at other it slows down even though the gas pedal is being pressed on. On December 1, 2014 I was driving home after visiting a friend who was returning to ohio for college. Following the road, I had to cross some railroad tracks to as I was veering slightly left. This kia steering locked & accelerated to approximately 40 or so miles, went off the railroad tracks & hit the mental posts holding a billboard. I was not drinking at all & was wearing my seatbelt. Airbags did not deploy & due to seatbelt, my back is broken & received major lascerations to my right eye & face. I was transported to 2 trauma units. This kia Sorento has had steering & power problems since 2013 and unfortunate for me, I thought these issues were fixed & redesigned.

Driver on side-street tried to cut across main road directly in front of me causing me to swerve to avoid her. My kia Sorento then hit a brick wall and a 2,000+ pound cast iron entrance gate. I feel this is a safety hazard if I was to get into an accident and someone was in the passenger seat and the air bag does not deploy.
