Brakes Failed Problems of Kia Motor Sorento

Parking brake internal parts rusted and disintegrated in one back wheel and the parking brake internal parts severely rusted on other back wheel. All in less than 8 years under minimal average use. Had this not been discovered during annual safety inspection, would have likely not held when parking on an incline, and could have resulted in injury or death. There was no warning indication on dash that parking brake was failing.

On 7/25/2020, my 2019 kia Sorento had complete brake failure, for the third time in 4 months. I took my Sorento to my dealership service department where I was told that the problem was a "deformed booster brakes vacuum hose"which they replaced (2 days in the shop March 23rd too much 25th). On July 13, 2020 it happened again and the car was back at the dealership service department, for the second time. A week later(July 25th) they call to me to pick up the car. The service manager informed me that they had replace the host with an updated vacuum hose, and that kia cooperation engineers were aware of this problem. On Saturday 5 days after having the vehicle back from the service department, the brakes failed again completely while I was driving, which resulted in a accident. My insurance company is calling it a total lost. My car is a lease with 9,800 miles only. I have had the car for 1 year only. My was not the only kia Sorento brought back to the dealership with the same problem. What should I do?.

Friday 9/18/15 10:40 am, backing out of parking spot slowly into a road. Engine suddenly failed, engine light came on, and the brakes completely failed. Was able to restart the car and park it again, but brakes still failed and had to use the emergency brake and the curb and tree at curb to stop vehicle. Towed to ed voyles kia on peachtree industrial blvd in atlanta who found no record of the incident in computer and that all diagnostics were normal and they couldn't reproduce the problem, so there was nothing they could do. . Was driving along at about 35mph and noticed a vehicle turning in front of me. I brake to stop or slow down at least. The brakes failed completely, no brakes, did not stop vehicle. It was like the anti-lock system was trying to work, but worked faulty, almost in a reverse fashion. I pressed brake pedal to no avail, like it was slipping, but nothing to slip on. Long story short I ended up going in the ditch to avoid running into the vehicle. Previous to this about 2months the shifter would not go into the park position, no matter what I tried, thankfully I was near the dealership. They replaced the brake controller and it seemed to fix the problem until now. Furthermore, when I go around a corner at a reasonable speed the engine kills power for a split second, and the anti-sway lights kick on. This seems to be more of a safety concern than a safety fix. I feel having 3 serious potentially life threatening situations in the last 3 months merits further investigation into this model of kia, before it literally is killed in action, kia. I recently watch the news and saw a stuck accelerator problem on this model as well, hope you will take action.
