1 Cooling Fan problem of the 2016 Kia Motor Sorento

Failure Date: 07/26/2019

My temperature gauge began reading hot while driving. After replacing the thermostat and the etc sensor, my car was diagnosed as having a faulty cooling fan. This should not happen on a quality car that is just a few years old. I have been without a car for over a week while they track down the part and it is going to cost me over $500 to have fixed.

2 Cooling Fan problem of the 2006 Kia Motor Sorento

Failure Date: 08/22/2017

Parked the car one night, next morning only clicks, clicking coming from fuse box too. New battery, battery and brake light are on, car dies after sputtering. This is a new $5,000 engine with only 20,000 miles due to a crankshaft pulley break ruining the original one. Now, it won't crank, obdii returns codes p0763 and p0101 which are shift solenoid and mass air flow electrical. The cooling fan relaly is burned as well as the fuse box circuit board it goes into. Have a mechanic coming to check it but not too optimistic given the car's history. Luckily, I only drove 3 miles to my other home when the second time for quitting occurred where it is still, now I'm out of a car and lots of obligations to fulfill and walking.

3 Cooling Fan problem of the 2003 Kia Motor Sorento

Failure Date: 09/10/2008

The contact owns a 2003 kia Sorento. While driving between 35-40 mph, the motor in the cooling fan failed. The motor was attempting to turn over; however, it could not because the fuse in the fuse box did not blow out as it should. The wire from the terminal blocker melted into the fuse box. This caused the wires to burn and the passenger compartment became engulfed in smoke. The vehicle was driven home and did not catch on fire. The vehicle has two safety features, one in the terminal block and the other in the fuse box, but they did not work. The contact called kia and was informed that the warranty ended at 60,000 miles. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 100,000.
