Engine Funny Noise Problems of Kia Motor Sorento

When driving home I pulled into my neighborhood and started to smell slight gas, when I get to my house a pulled into the driveway smoke started coming from under the hood. In an attempt to open the hood I noticed flames coming from under the car. I called 911 and my friend went to get a fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher did not work as the fire grew big and fast. When the fire department arrived the front of the car was completely on fire. No recent work has been done of the car besides regular oil changes. The car was driving perfectly fine and no warning lights or weird noises before it caught fire.

Driving heard loud hammering sound car stopped running engine had seized up finding no oil the car had absorbed 5 quarts of oil between an oil change in 87199miles never has been even a partial quart low several other cars I've read about had the same problem no warning lights no nothing just seized up and stopped full warranty a kia says will not replace the engine kia dealership says it's common for a car to use 5 quarts of oil between oil changes always had been full on pre-check before oil changes when I ask why there is no oil light or nothing on the kia service said they have an oil light but it does not come on due to oil they are saying I ran the car out of oil I had started having my oil changed using synthetic oil which are advertised at 10,000 miles between changes one change with 7000 miles the next pre-change was 9000 always have been full at precheck then all of a sudden the ones that use 5 quarts.

I was driving the car and then it slowed down to 40 mph and cut off on the highway. I cranked it back up and it made a weird noise. I called a tow truck. Took it to the shop and they said the engine needs to be repaired. There is no way that it should be having motor issues. The oil has always been changed on time. Also I have to change the headlight bulbs on the left and right.

"takata recall" kia Sorento 2016 model sx-awd it started making weird noises from the engine and felt little thumps when I press on the accelerator and binding noise from the rear of the vehicle from the beginning of 2019. The car does not exceed over 90mph.

Tl the contact owns a 2008 kia Sorento. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle shook and stalled. Additionally, there was an abnormal thumping noise and the check engine, air bag, and electronic control indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who stated that the automatic control sensor, rear sensor bearing, and rear line driveshaft needed to be replaced. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 128,000.

The starter burned out and the starter relay is sticking. It started sticking and making funny noises around mid October or beginning of November 2017 and acutally burned out December 8, 2017 and was replaced December 9, 2017. Now the starter went out again January 16, 2018. Also I had my driver side brake light bulb replaced around July or August 2017 and now the same driver side brake light is out again.

I experienced a sudden engine failure on August 27, 2017 on my 2015 kia Sorento lx with 28k miles. The engine type is a theta ii 2. 4l gdi. The complete engine failure happened without warning while driving 65 mph on an interstate. The car immediately lost all acceleration capabilities. There were no warning displays or unusual noise/movement beforehand. It was a very dangerous situation and fortunately I was able to get to the shoulder and avoid any severe safety issues. The car was towed for a nearby kia dealership in new jersey and they diagnosed the engine failure. Kia has acknowledged this engine problem and they paid for a remanufactured engine and car rental costs for a nearly two-week period. The newly installed engine is only under warranty for 10 years from the original purchase date, not the date of the remanufactured engine installation. The car's service has been up to date and I've had no previous issues with the car. Why has this engine problem not yet been recalled for 2015 Sorentos? it's likely a very similar problem to the kia engine recalls earlier this year. The kia dealership in new jersey indicated that they replace dozens of new engines a month, including on many new 2017 and even 2018 models. Does someone need to be killed for action to be taken?.

I am beyond disappointed in my 2012 kia Sorento. It all started when my Sorento began to vibrate when traveling at interstate speed, then it just led to more complex problems. I can be driving down the interstate at normal interstate speed of 70 or going 50 and it will go crazy making unusual sounds and all the lights start going crazy. Then the whole vehicle shuts off. This is very concerning since I have a 2 year old and 1 year old in my back seat and it always seems to happen when I am in a high traffic area. I purchased the Sorento because it is suppose to be considered a family vehicle. That's isn't it. I can be traveling in town or where ever and when at a yield entrance way I can pull into the main road and what do you know. The Sorento stalls out. It doesn't want to increase speed. This same thing also happens while I am speeding up as well. It gets up to 5rpm before changing gears. I can't let off or I will get rear ended. My Sorento also has a horrible pull to the right. I have put new tires, had numerous alignments and all. Nothing helps it. It has never been in any accident whatsoever, but if these problems keep up there seems to be one in the near future. I have also took it to several delearships to get the other issues checked out but I get the same response. "they never can figure anything out" I have got several other people to drive it as well just to be sure it wasn't the way I drove. I am to the point where I am terrified to drive it and especially allow my children to ride in it. I'm sure all of us with the similar issues are not imaging things. I am so frustrated and to the point I want to consider a lawsuit because I really don't want a fatal wreck resulted from these malfunctions to finally make someone do something about these issues. Not my family, your family, or anyone elses. Please help us! our lives and our children's lives are at risk!.
