Horn Assembly Problems of Kia Motor Sorento

The flashing check engine light came on my 2017 kia Sorento, the car went into limp mode, and would not drive over 20 mph. I was driving on an interstate at the time, and it was extremely dangerous to cross two highway lanes at 20 mph trying to pull over to the shoulder. The car was towed to burns auto shop. They pulled up code p1326 and said this was a known kia issue and a kia dealer should fix it for free. My car has 35,000 miles and is still under the 10 year/100,000 miles kia warranty. The car was towed to fred beans kia dealer in langhorne, PA, who refused to check it for 10 days. Kia refused to pay for a rental car (even retroactively) until the mechanic checked it - a huge inconvenience to my family of 6 who had to use 1 car for 2 weeks. When fred beans finally checked the car, they claimed to not be able to see the code. They conceded that what happened is a known kia issue and could happen again at any time. It's terrifying to know my car could at any time slow down to 20 mph on the highway. Despite kia's claims that the car could drive up to 55 mph with the code on, my speed plummeted to 20 mph within seconds and would not go up despite pressing the gas pedal for several minutes. Kia said my car's VIN was not among those affected by the recall. Yet, since the p1326 issue did happen to my car, my VIN should be included. Despite knowing of the issue, kia and its dealers refuse to take my family's safety seriously. They both suggest I keep driving �until it happens again�. After reading online reviews, it's clear kia and its dealers routinely try to avoid fixing problems covered by warranty. Kia claims they have no control over their authorized dealers. Yet, it's kia's responsibility to pay for issues covered under warranty. I'd like kia to fix the known code p1326 problem, so I can enjoy full use of my car without expecting it to malfunction at any moment.

Headlights initially were just flickering on occasion now headlights are turning off while driving. Sometimes they go back on and sometimes they don�t. Warning ⚠️ comes on and dash display also indicates a headlamp issue. Sometimes turning them on and off helps. Been gradually getting worse. Now all lights will not turn on including brights. Horn also not working. Has happened multiple times at night on busy city streets.

The dealer determined that the knock sensor needed to be replaced and ordered the part. When the contact returned for the vehicle, she was informed that the wiring harness to the engine needed to be replaced due to rodent damage because the insulation was soy bean based. The repairs were not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 9,166.

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 kia Sorento. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started , noticed that the oil light was on. The vehicle was taken to an unknown independent mechanic, they changed the oil gaskets and advised the contact that the engine had a very high oil consumption. The vehicle's airbag light turned on when stationary (as I started the car) and remained on at about 100,000 miles. Mechanic inspection yielded issue with steering wheel clock spring. Mechanic ordered part from kia dealership but there is a manufacturing issue and the vehicle has to be retrofitted to fit the part. As of 8/5/2019, there are no unrepaired recalls on this car or for this specific safety issue, but years of documentation of complaints for it, and it is a manufacturing defect. Why hasn't this been added as a formal recall? have not checked cruise control or horn, but volume controls on steering wheel still working. Passenger airbag light sometimes off when passenger is on seat, sometimes on when no one is in seat.

Airbag did not deploy during accident. Before accident airbag light was on and steering wheel functions were working (cruise, horn, volume ect. ) driver side window would not roll up.

Takata recall. Air bag light on dash stays on at all times and "passenger air bag on/off" indicator indicates off, even when an adult is sitting in the passenger seat. Additionally, horn won't blow at times.

My driver side door will not open from the outside. I have two small children and I'm afraid to put child lock on because this is a common problem according to my research. I haven't gotten a recall for this problem and it makes for a very dangerous maybe deathly situation. Horn doesn't work.

All lights come on, horn blows, but will not start at all, this kia Sorento is junk, its falling apart, I got a disable mother, now can't take her to her doctor appointments, every since I had it, its been nothing but junk, we live on fixed income, can't afford to get another vehicle, and this 2003 kia Sorento should not be on the road, all kia Sorento vehicles are junk, clock is messed up, comes off and on, airbag light is on, now won't even start at all, something needs to be done about kia dealerships selling junk vehicles, will complain again and again, they are junk!.

Tire pressure sensor did not light up at any time while driving on 95 in rush hour morning traffic forewarning me of any problem with my front right passenger side tire which tire somehow immediately completely deflated while driving. I immediately pulled over to the right side of road and called for road side assistance. The tire pressure sensor did night light up until the tow truck driver removed the flat tire from my vehicle. When vehicle was take to mccafferty in langhorne, service manager advised me that I should have had the tire checked out as soon as the tire pressure sensor lit up and it would have avoided complete deflation. The tire pressure sensor did not illuminate at any time until the flat tire was removed from the vehicle. A replacement tire will now cost me $ 159. 00.

I bought a 2003 kia Sorento about 6 years ago and I've had a lot of problems. The worst and most recent problem is the gas spews out of the tank every time I try to fill it. It runs down the side of the car and on my wheel. Sometimes it gets on me. This has been going on for several months now. If you pump very slow and stop every . 80 cents it lessens the amount of times it spews out, but this is so very timely. The gas gauge periodically goes out. The horn has never worked. The power steering periodically goes out. When using cruise control it will periodically go off on it's own. The paint looks horrible and has peeled off on the side mirrors. The leather seats have not held up well. The dome light will not work when you open the door, but if you press the dome light button it will come on. Periodically the dash lights have flickered and I'm wondering if they are about to go out. I've already had to replace the ac compressor and the drive shaft, both of which have really set me back financially. I really want to get the gas tank issue fixed as it is the worst issue at hand and I fear it could be dangerous.
