Vehicle was running fine, suddenly smoke came out and car turned off. As per mechanic, vehicle overheated, coolant was all over the engine. No check engine light on nor previous indication of overheating. Vehicle model falls under kia recall sc176 but claim is being denied.

2 Vehicle Overheat problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2019

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 kia Soul. The contact stated that while driving 40-45 mph there was an abnormal bombing noise. The vehicle overheated and fire was emerging from the hood. All the instrument cluster lights were illuminated. There were no reported injuries, medical attention provided or crash. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The fire department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to pride kia of lynn: 793 lynnway, lynn, MA 01901(781) 596-1010 but , was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted who provided case number 13266509 however, no further assistance provided. The failure mileage was 74,000. Ap.
