Tl-the contact owns a 2008 kia Spectra. The contact stated that when a passenger would move in the passenger seat a certain way the air bag warning light would illuminate. Now, the air bag warning light remains illuminated with no passenger in the passenger seat. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the air bag sensor under the passenger seat had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed by the dealer that the passenger seat and air bag sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
