Audible whine from transmission when in motion. I can't recreate the noise when stopped or in neutral and can be heard when in driving and picking up speed.

2 Transmission Noise problem of the 2007 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 11/06/2014

I have a manual transmission and there is a clunk noise from 2nd to 3rd gear at high speeds all the time and seems to be getting worse. My friend has an 2006 Mazda 6 manual with the same problem, was wondering if there was any kind of recall on this because we have the same problem on similar vehicles.

I looked on the internet and I saw that hundreds and hundreds of people are complaining about the same problem with Mazda 6 2004 transmissions and we cant afford it. The lowest price was starting at 1500 not including labor. Im a single mom with two toddlers, im working and I cant even get it fixed.

4 Transmission Noise problem of the 2005 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 04/25/2007

Leased 2005 Mazda 6 in July 2005. September 2005: took in for service for check engine light. Dealership replaced a purge canister valve. While driving vehicle after repairs were made, I heard a high-pitched whirring noise from the engine and returned the vehicle to the dealership for service. Tech determined noise was coming from transmission. Trans. Was replaced two times; noise did not go away. Tech then determined it was the fuel pump. That was replaced but noise remained. Tech then suspected the fuel lines were vibrating, added a clip to prevent rubbing and noise disappeared. That took 28 days. Day after vehicle left dealership, fuel tank leaked fuel upon starting the vehicle. Dealership determined that a cap had not been tightened. Cap was tightened and car was returned but smelled awful. Dealership shampooed interior. June 2006: while driving, tachometer suddenly bounced and vehicle did not respond to accelerator being pressed. After turning car off and restarting it, car worked fine, but was taken to dealership. Tech replaced throttle body. April 2007: vehicle stalled while waiting at traffic light. Attempts to restart failed. Vehicle was towed to dealership. Tech determined that a fuel pump fuse had become disconnected. Fuse was replaced. One week later, fuel tank leaked upon starting the vehicle. Vehicle was towed to dealership again. Fuel pump assembly had to be replaced. I do not have vehicle back yet.
