Failure Date: 01/09/2007

Odometer failure. Called expecting warranty was 8 years 80000 miles to be told was not covered at dealership. 3 Instrument Panel problem of the 2000 Mercedes Benz ML320

Failure Date: 11/15/2006

My 2000 ml with 47k miles suddenly locked on the brakes. The esp light had been showing on very rare occasions for 2 months. I had three instances of sudden lock-up of one or more tires before the dealer found that the "yaw sensor" had failed. All instances were at low cruise 30-40 mph with perfect conditions without the esp light showing. Some how I avoided accidents but this is very dangerous. The esp took control of the brakes and applied braking to one or more wheels in an attempt to bring the truck under control. The car was in perfect control traveling in a straight line but the erroneous sensor information caused it to apply the brakes without warning.

5 Instrument Panel problem of the 1998 Mercedes Benz ML320

Failure Date: 04/26/2006

Instrument lights do not light up. Instruments cannot be seen at night including speedometer and gas gage. Potential consequences are running out of fuel or exceeding the safe speed limits because speedometer is not visible. The problem has gotten worst with time. This has been a problem since the car was new and dealers blame the problem on light bulb problems. Sometime rapping the instrument cluster cause the lights to come back on indicating that this is a problem with the connection and not the bulbs. This appears to be a defect with the bulb connections as the problem is recurring and the dealers are not truly fixing the source of the problem.
