The contact owns a 2008 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that the brakes failed to stop the vehicle and the brake pedal traveled to the floor. In addition, the brake pedal had to be pumped a couple of times before the brakes could function. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the brake fluid bled and the anti-lock brake system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.
