Front right brake rotor keeps warping. Replaced with new one once while car still under warranty; same one (area) warped again with in 1 yr of 1st time, had resurfaced, now within less than three months it is warped again. It is not the way I drive, I have been driving for 25 years & I have never had a warped rotor on any car I have owned & I had a camaro for 6 years & had 140,000, & no warped rotor! why is it the same one every time? I have taken it to the dealer & even they can't find out why the same one gets warped. It has been suggested by a very experienced brake specialist that the rotor was defective in manufacturing, which the metal was cast with imputrities causing thin & think places that with any heat wear unevenly, causing warpage. Makes sense. My car is out of warranty nor but I only have 41,000 on it, and I only go to and from work which is only 8 miles from home with only two stops signs. There is not much useage of my brakes, not enough to continue to replace the same rotor! there are numerous websites about Mitsubishi cars & problems that sound exactly like mine, so I know I am not the only one, but Mitsubishi wants to blame the drivers for making bad or sudden stops or riding breaks, instead of addressing this problem. If I had this problem with any of the 8 cars I have owned in my lieftime, then yes maybe it might be my driving, but never till this car have I had a rotor issue.

I've had my car (Mitsubishi Eclipse 2006-manual transmission) for just 11k miles, I noticed a vibration in the brakes. I took the car to have it checked out, and I was told it has a rotor problem in the rear, and they need polishing, but the brake pads are fine. Also, I'm being told that this is highly unusual for it to experience this problem at this stage of the car's life cycle. I'm also puzzled as to why this is happening so soon. I have been doing research on this subject on the internet, and it appears I'm not the only one who is experiencing this problem. I think this is indeed a factory defect.

I have owned my care for 3 years. In that time I have had a leaking sunroof, broken passenger rear view mirror, broken passenger window "wont roll up", numerous tire changes, bad vibration, horrible noises when turning wheel, have replaced 2 transmissions, both tie rod ends, 1 lower ball joint and control arm suspension bar"more info on this below", alternator, both headlights, 4 differant seats of breaks, 2 seats constintly running low on oil, replaced the fuel filter, seat belts don't stop, battery cables keep caroding, replace spark plugs atleast 3 to 4 times a year, vibrates when going down road. Those are just the things off the top of my head that I have done to this car. Now to the accident. After I got off work I was on my way home when I decided to go to my friends so while driving to her house I hear a loud pop and the next thing I know my car is controling itself and I can't steer it. This was all do to my lower ball joint shattering and my wheel almost completly detaching from my car. Now the other side is starting to make that horrible noise. The control arm swung on the bottum of my car after it broke during this and tore out my oil filter, oil pan, and oxygen senseor. Have yet to recieve any information from Mitsubishi.

The rotors have to machined every few months. They were replaced at beginning of septembet 2000. Dealer has no explanation why. Front end rattles toward driver's side.
When applying the brakes in a normal braking situation vehicle would jerk. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where the brake rotors were replaced because of warping. Also there was a noise coming from under the hood, that dealership was not able to identify. Please provide any further information.
Front brake pads and machined rotors failure causing the brakes to squeak. Yh.
Have had to have car in 7 times for warped rotors and brakes. Dealership each time has told me I have to pay while under warranty. I did have to buy new brakes while car under warranty due to warped rotor wear. I have been told that I have to pay for all warped rotors and brakes even while under warranty. My brakes feel as though they are going to fail and possibly cause collision. Also, tire just fell off rim driving out of parking lot. Had to put new tires on car after 6 months ownership. Sunroof leaks. I have had this car only one year and six months. Thank you for your assistance. ( dot number: ).
The brake rotors on the vehicle have failed and are in need of replacement again.
Constant pulsating of brakes when applying them. Took car to the dealership the 1st time and had the rotors replaced. Mitsubishi paid for 1/2 of the cost and I paid the rest. This was in 1998. The first time that I have the rotors replaced, the vibrating of the brake pedal came back within 2 weeks. Since then, I have replaced and/or turned down my rotors on my front wheels over 7 times. I do not ride my brakes either. I've had my rotors replaced by numerous garages. The rotors improved twice due to the recall of ball joints. When I had my car in the dealership for this recall and I drove the car home, the brake pedal did not pulsate for about 3 to 4 weeks after the recall was made good. I have spent so much money on having the rotors replaced. It's gotten to the point where I cannot keep spending hundreds of dollars on rotors. I just deal with the vibrating brakes at this times.
