My in insurance has a recall page and when I went on there. My car was on there for abs. My abs light been on since I got the car 6 months ago.
Brakes consistently fail to hold pressure and are letting go. I purchased this car back in April and the previous owner had no idea of the recall. Did a bit of research and found it's a defect in the system. Once the car fails to hold pressure I have to very rapidly spam the break pedal to get a sliver of pressure so my car can come to a stop. Breaking with little pressure grinds the brakes and doesn't stop the car.

There was a previous recall on the anti braking system. Prior to the recall I had noticed that the abs light was always coming on & I also noticed the brakes were at times seemed to be grabbing metal & not working . I took the car in to get fixed with the recall notice. Everything was fine until now the abs light has been coming on frequently again & it is doing the same exact thing when braking. It seems when the light is off & the brakes start to not work properly then the light comes on & they do work. I never know when this is going to happen when the brakes fail. There is no loss of brake fluid. The recall repair was done at ricart in columbus ohio. The problem was confirmed by the recall that this was faulty.
Dearler did not fix the abs, only replaced brake fluid. Abs still fails. Went back to Mitsubishi and they said they couldnt help me.
I have no brakes what so ever I have to push them like 10 times before I have any.
My daughter was driving the Eclipse, she turned onto a side street and the car spun out of control causing her to hit a parked car. The passenger side tire is sideways, I have pictures of the car after the accident. My insurance company totaled the car. The police are saying she was at fault for the accident. There is a recall on the VIN number.
Left front wheel fell off after failure of front cross member. Vehicle was on a city street under 4 mph when bumped by adjacent car in left front fender.
Takata recall posted recall date of may 22, 2015 today's date September 20, 2016 incomplete recall, I have been informed by my mechanic hat my brakes are unsafe as a result he looked to see if there is a open recall and found the recall for abs hydrologica unit but after over a year it is still incomplete. No accident has acured but may happen soon if not fixed.
Brakes will intermittedly not respond to the brake pedal being depressed. Car has now been involved in two rear end collisions in 3 months. Repair shop cannot duplicate the problem described. Car was going 25 mph both times in two cities when the car failed to brake.

I received a safety recall notice from Mitsubishi motors in July of 2015. The notice is regarding a defect with the antilock breaking system hydraulic unit. The letter says I will be notified when the parts are available. I have called the local Mitsubishi dealership and they say the parts are not reading I am still on a wait list. When operating the car sometimes the breaks go quite far down towards the floor. It has been too long to wait for these parts given there is a defect with the brakes.

Same as 1/21/2016 complaint. Dealer informs today that his technician must first determine abs malfunction before obtaining mmna (mfg) approval to flush brakes, determine correct valve function, and then install new high quality brake fluid. Outrageous. Mmna should authorize the above at customer request now. Cheaper for them to authorize a free, annual brake flush/inspection vs. New abs parts that may not even be needed. Put pressure on mmna to comply with above.

My car was recalled for the anit-lock braking system and the recall notice stated that the repair would take approx 2. 0 hrs to evaluate and 4. 0 to repair. The dealer had my car for 7 days and would not give me a loaner car. The reason they had it so long was because Mitsubishi did not let the dealers have the replacement part. They had to fax the info to Mitsubishi for approval then wait for the part to be shipped. They would not give me my car back when I told them I had to get to work they told me there was nothing they could do. I don't understand why if it's a known recall Mitsubishi doesn't at least let the dealer have 1 or 2 parts on hand and then replace them as used. It's totally unacceptable for Mitsubishi to expect to have someone's car for a week. They stated it wasn't their problem that I would have to rent a car in order to get to work. I had to pay over $200 for a "free recall". Shame on you Mitsubishi.
I received a safety recall notice in July of 2015. It is now five months later and they still haven't fixed the issue. My brake pedal sometimes doesn't work properly and makes a sucking sound when the pedal is released. I called Mitsubishi and they said to bring it to a dealership for a road test and that my brakes would be flushed and checked. I made an appointment with the dealership 50 miles away and was turned away upon arriving because they can't fix the problem. My car is unsafe and Mitsubishi will not fix it.

2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Consumer writes in regards to anti-lock braking system recall notice and lack of parts .
The brakes on my vehicle are not working as they should. Abs system was recalled by Mitsubishi back in July, and they have yet to fix the problem. I have been very close to getting in to accidents due to the brakes not working properly, with my young son in the vehicle. When I spoke to Mitsubishi they informed me that the remedy is not yet available. I was also told that if I got the brakes fixed myself, there is the possibility that I would not get reimbursed. I would like to get this fixed immediately before the brakes give out all together but due to a fault of the manufacturer, I am not willing to put out my hard earned money and not get it back. My car does not stop as it should while driving. The brake peddle does not function correctly. Please fix this issue or point me in the right direction.
