Passenger air bag periodically turns itself off during a trip and will not reset until the car is turned off. This has happened periodically, approximately 10 times. I reurned to the dealership and they said they would not change the defective sensor until Nissan officially recalled the part. They simply loosened and then retorques the sensor.
Passenger air bag system malfunctions despite Nissan replacing the sensors in that seat on 9-25-2013. Previously this malfunction occured about 6 times during the period 9-8-2012 to 9-25-2013. Nissan unable to replicate error in shop or ascertain cause. Only when I produced video evidence of the malfunction did they take action and replace seat sensors. The problem persists.
I have a 2013 Nissan Altima. The passenger seat air bag occupant sensor comes on showing that the passenger air bag is turned off when an adult is sitting in the seat. The adult is 200 lbs. The light will stay on for 15-20 minutes while driving. My car was recalled for the occupant sensor classifacation reset. It did not change anything. It still does the same thing. I have complained about it numorous times to the dealer. The dealer says there is still not a fix from Nissan. I want this fixed. Please help.
Airbag passenger sensor/system problem, airbag disabled with a 200+ pound person in the passenger seat (should only disable with a small child)! the issue continues intermittently to present, dealer has not been able to duplicate, and will not fix it without an error logged in the computer. Issue has occurred at least 50 times, most recently in the last two weeks.
